CHAPTER 6

"Thanks but we will pass" Emily replied coldly.

Lucy got angry at her.

" Em ! She is being nice and wants to properly apologize to us. The least we can do is attend the party. "

Sasha please tell Anna that we will be coming " Lucy said with a sweet smile.

"sure!" Sasha went away after informing them about the party.

"Lucy are you out of your mind ? She did all those things and now suddenly wants to be friendly ? she is surely upto something. How can you not be suspicious .?"

" Stop being so paranoid Em she is probably trying to make up for all those things. Let's forget about all that and try to be friendly."

"By the way did you hear about Shawn Martin ? I'm sure he will be at the party. I heard he is Anna's close friend . H e sure is very popular . All the girls in my class were talking about him ."

"Not you too Luce ! He is a jerk just like Anna"

"What? I saw him today, he was so dreamy. He doesn't seem like someone who's friendly though " Lucy hugged her pillow as she continued annoying Emily.

Emily hit her with a pillow and said playfully said,

" I'm sure he wouldn't want a clumsy girl like you so stop daydreaming. By the way he definitely isn't the good guy you think he is. "

" yeah as if he would want a boring nerd like you " saying this Lucy smacked Emily with her pillow and both started laughing.

Little did they know what would happen at the party. Lucy was pretty excited for the party . She quickly started getting ready for the party.

"Em do you think this dress suits me?" Lucy looked pretty in her pink crochet dress .

"You look beautiful Lucy . "Emily knew that Lucy was excited for the party and so she didn't hesitate much and agreed to go .She just put on a black t-shirt and paired it with denim as she wasn't the least interested to go .

"Em! are you planning on going like that ? Seriously ? I know you don't like Anna but she took all this pain to invite us to the party so let's dress up well. "saying this Lucy pulled out a gorgeous red cocktail dress and handed it to Emily.

" There is no way I'm going to wear that now. I am going there only to hear Anna apologize that's it " Emily said instantly.

"Em don't talk like that ! we rarely dress up . You need to stop looking deep into things and just take a breather. Now hurry up and put on this dress. "

After much persuasion from Lucy ,Emily agreed to put on the dress.

Lucy and Emily headed to Anna's place after getting ready .Emily still wasn't sure if it was the right thing to do. Lucy looked happy .

"Why are you so excited for the party Lucy?"

"You know Em I thought after today's scene at the cafeteria I thought that we might not have any good chance at making friends in Harbor High but now I feel like this is our second chance. I know you feel terrible for what Anna did today but I feel we should let it slide now that she is repenting it. Nothing good comes from holding grudges."

Emily wasn't convinced yet but just smiled. "you're right hopefully she really is feeling bad about it and wants to apologize sincerely."

Emily and Lucy reached Anna's place . They got down the cab and saw Emily's house looked crowded . They went inside and saw the house was packed with guests.

Most of the guests were Harbor High's students there were a few unknown faces as well. It was their first time in a party so Emily was nervous but Lucy on the other hand was excited.

"Woah this place is so dope!" Lucy exclaimed.

The party was being held in the backyard . Everybody seemed to be having fun .They tried to locate Anna but she was nowhere to be found. Sasha spotted them and came up to receive them.

"You guys look wonderful! I thought you wouldn't come. Anna kept asking me about you guys." Sasha was very welcoming.

"Of course we had to come .We wanted to apologize to Anna as well ,right Emily ?" Lucy gave Emily the sharp look.

"Yeah I guess we both made mistakes "Emily said in an uninterested tone.

Sasha took a sigh and smiled forcefully .

"Oh yeah ,Anna wanted to meet you guys in her room. She wanted to apologize to you guys personally. She is waiting for you guys in her room. ", Sasha left after directing them to the room.

Lucy and Emily headed towards the room .

Initially Emily wanted to make more friends so she thought maybe it was the perfect opportunity to forget everything and have a fresh start now that Anna was putting so many efforts to mend their relationship she felt good.

They reached Anna's room and opened the door .They found Shawn in his bathrobe. Looked like he just got out of the bath. He seemed perplexed and before he could react Emily shrieked .

Lucy was embarrassed and ran out .She bumped into Lilly , her classmate in the hallway she stood up and ran towards the pool. Emily quickly chased after Lucy.

"Are you sure we went to the right room Em?"

"Yeah. Unless , Sasha wanted to play a sick joke on us. Let me set this straight with her"

Emily was angry and wanted to vent her anger on Sasha for such a stupid prank . She wondered what was Shawn doing in there instead of Anna.

" Did Anna do this?" Emily questioned herself.

Before they could go anywhere Jeremy came upto them ."I didn't know you both were so desperate for attention that you would stoop this low. "

His words gathered a huge crowd gazing at them.

Anna entered the scene and looked very confused.

"What else were you going to do if Lily didn't spot you guys? Huh? " Jeremy started speaking in a louder and harsher tone , his words made the crowd silent. Lucy grasped her skirt tightly as she was tensed. Emily stood there still wondering was was the truth.

Anna stepped in and started chiding Jeremy " What happened Jeremy ? Why are you insulting our guests like this ? I told you to forget about the cafeteria's incident , didn't I ? I was at fault as well."

Jeremy was straight up insulting and accusing them for some accident. Lucy was still processing what had happened .

"Anna you're too innocent you wouldn't know. Shawn had spilled some wine on himself so I suggested him to take a shower in my room and these thirsty ladies snuck in and tried to take pictures of him."

" Is it true you guys is that what happened ? Why did you do that" Anna questioned them with a worried look on her face.

" He is lying Anna ! Sasha was the one who sent us to the room saying that it was your room and you wanted to meet us there ." Lucy tried to defend Emily and herself..

Sasha came up and said ," Lucy , when did I meet you guys ? I was with Anna the whole night. Why are you guys pushing this onto me . Disgusting"
