In this ceasefire made by the higher ups, one that is worried about it is Tigreal.
He remembered his past experience when he is still training to become the great knight of the Empire.
He can still vividly remember it as the memory passed through his mind. It was one of those days while they were hunting demons due to a trial mission assigned to him. Tigreal showed compassion to the demons, he was hesitating to kill them. In return, the demons ambushed him. Beause of that, many people, his mentors, sacrificed their lives to save him.
Tigreal gritted his teeth while his fists clenched. It was already night time, and most of them are asleep by now. Tigreal went to his room to gather his thoughts. The soft, comfy pillow of his bed didn't manage to comfort him. He just continued to toss around his bed.
He doesn't want to repeat the same mistake again. Demons are sly, he knew that. That's why he decided.
They must plan. Everyone in the Land of Dawn is wary because of the ceasefire that happened.
"There is a war upcoming soon..." Tigreal thought. The Moniyan and the Abyss... Tigreal knew that the will of the Abyss is getting much stronger, he also thought that from the past war, both suffered tremendous losses. It was only now, that the Abyss started to make a move again. (This is based on the ML Event, where the Dark Abyss won, you get a free border if you joined the Abyss, The Moniyan is only 1 point close I think?? :))
Tigreal sighed. He is already strict to himself as it is. But he doesn't want to suffer even more. It's not time to make mistakes, rather a time to get stronger.
They must prepare for the war. Tigreal has never been defeated, and as always, he can be seen at the frontlines during every battle and every war. But he already met formidable opponents and foes at the war.
It's too bad that one of them manage to escape. And came back stronger.
Her name is Vexana.
The Fortress of Despair was Vexana's territory. Tigreal managed to assault them, and kill the undead, but then Tigreal met him.
His name is Leomord. "If only the Light would reach him..." Tigreal thought. It was getting close to midnight, and here he is, still thinking of the past events that happened to him.
(Below is Leomord's background story for those who don't know. This is important! Credits to ML.
A long time ago, the Fortress of Despair was actually the center of a beautiful and rich kingdom. Leomord and his Royal Knights vowed an oath to protect their King and the Queen, who was in fact Vexana. Any invader who dared attack the kingdom could not avoid the fate of death by Leomord's sword. However, one day the kingdom came to ruin. That was the day Vexana transformed all of the kingdom's creatures into the undead. Lionheart fell into great despair. Even if he could single-handedly eliminate all of the evil from the kingdom, he could not raise his sword against the woman who was once his queen. He could not bear to watch the kingdom he loved and swore to protect fall into ruin. Leomord took his own life out of sorrow and desperation.
Leomord's strength and resolve burned so brightly in life, that Vexana could not control him as a spirit. However, since the Fortress of Despair was met with a great danger, she had no choice but to awaken him. When he rose from the dead, Leomord felt that his soul was filled with torturous amounts of pain and despair. Whispering sweetly into his ear, Vexana told Leomord that the undead that stood before him were once the beloved people he swore to protect. She warned that if he did protect the Fortress of Despair, then all of these innocent souls would suffer eternal damnation.
Leomord had no choice. He would rather be a slave to Vexana's sorcery than watch his compatriots suffer another day. Leomord summoned his beloved horse, Barbiel, and his famed sword, The Oath Keeper.
Just as the Expeditionary Forces of Light stormed the horrific Fortress of Despair, Leomord and Barbiel struck the invaders with black lightning. Much of the Expeditionary Forces of Light were decimated. No one could withstand Leomord's sword, or so they thought. Tigreal stood there in defiance with the Sword of Dawn drawn against Leomord. As their swords clashed, Tigreal could feel Leomord's grief and despair coming from his sword. On that day, Tigreal knew he met one of the strongest opponents he has ever faced.)
"What is with that despair and grief coming from his sword? Why is he suffering?" Tigreal said that aloud. As these thoughts continue to ponder him, he suddenly fell asleep.
A day after...
"Granger, we should get going." Alucard said. They came from a long journey in hunting demons, and when they met days ago, they decided to go together.
"Yeah." Granger stood and packed up his things. They have done camping, tents and a bonfire were present in the area. It was already dawn, and the morning light is slowly shining through the sky. The dead trees in the area is getting less eerie, as morning already came.
As they continue their journey back to the Land of Dawn, they felt a dreadful presence.
"Do you feel that?" Alucard asked. Granger just nodded. They both have similarities- they were both demon hunters, and both cold and isolated. No wonder why they got along with each other. Alucard, well, he admired and respected him.
Granger got his violin, and started playing lousy music.
(If you don't know, Granger is not exactly a good violinist. Here is his one of Granger's info from his background story, Credits to ML.
Much to everyone's surprise. Granger was in fact tone deaf. Since he received his violin, Granger played lousy music wherever he went. The noise from the violins would be so bad that his opponents would lose focus.)
"That is, terrible music, perhaps."
Alucard and Granger, from hearing a voice, got alarmed and turned around.
And they saw what seems like a horse and a rider.
"I've come to save you from the nightmare called 'Life'." said the rider.
