Chapter 2

The next day.

"Hey Melody," Jeremy said.

"How do you know where I live?" Melody asked. Jeremy laughed.

"Silly", *he'd pat her head* we live right next to each other," said jeremy.

"Oh yeah," said Melody blushing with embarrassment. When they got to the front of the gates Melody hesitated to go in.

"what's wrong?" asked jeremy.

"Nothing lets just go." said Melody. But little did they know that they were being watched.

"UGH." exclaimed Alexa "what's so great about her she's just a stupid lost girl," asked Alexa.

"Nothing at all," said Bridget (one of Alexa's minions).

"Yeah nothing at all your so much better than her," said Katherine (her other minion).

"I'm going to make that little nobody's life a living hell just you wait," Alexa said while laughing evilly. "Cmon girls class is about to start," said Alexa with an evil grin on her face. (In the classroom). *Bells rings*

"Ok class let's get started ," said Ms.Madeline. "Today we will be working on an equation, would anyone like to volunteer," asked Ms.Madeline. Alexa hand shot right up. "Ok Alexa, what equation do you know," asked Ms.Madeline.

"Melody - life= yippee hooray we don't have to deal with her anymore," said Alexa. The class laughed.

"ALEXA PRINCIPAL'S OFFICE NOW," exclaimed Ms.Madeline. Alexa left the class with a cold grin on her face before she left the room she mouthed to me "Go kill yourself", later I found put she was suspended for a whole week. At lunch. Melody usually went to her secret spot where no one would find her at least not everyone would find her. "Hey" said jeremy.

"Are you stalking me," asked Melody.

"You know its not liek that Mel, I just happen to know where your going" Jeremy said with a quirky grin on his face. I rolled my eyes, but realized something.

"Mel? Who's Mel" Melody said

"You are silly. That's a nickname I came up for you, now that we're friends and all," said Jeremy.

"Ok that sound nice, I'm gonna call you jemmy" said Melody.

"Ok sounds good," said jeremy even though she could tell he hated it.

"Umm hey what are you doing after school," asked Melody.

"Nothing why?" asked jeremy.

"Because I volunteer at a hospital near by and I was wondering if you want to come and volunteer with me." said melody a bit nervously.

"I would love to," said jeremy. After school at the hospital. Jeremy and Melody had so much fun playing with the children and taking to the elderly.

"Cmon Jeremy I want you to meet someone," said Melody.

"Ok," said Jeremy. They walked around the hospital and into the cancer center. Jeremy was really anxious to see who they were gonna go see. He had never been to a cancer center nor ever seen someone with a disease, so he was nervous.They walked into a room that said Ms. Sapphire. Jeremy understood now, Melody's mom had cancer.

"Hey mom, how are you doing," asked Melody.

"I'm doing really well sweetie and how- wait who's your friend" Ms.Sapphire asked with a smug look on her face.

"This is my friend Jeremy, Jeremy this is my mom," said Melody.

"Nice to meet you Ms.Sapphire," said Jeremy.

"Plz just call me Sherry," said Ms. Sapphire.

"Ok sherry," said jeremy with a huge grin on her face.

" I hope my daughter hasn't cause you to much trouble, she's always found a way of getting into trouble," she'd say with a smile.

" MOM," Melody exclaimed with embarassment. Jeremy laugh.

"Not at all I find her very amazing to be with, she's helped me get around school a lot and kept me company," said Jeremy with a huge grin. Melody was honestly touched, that was the first time anyone except for her mom and dad said that her company was amazing.

"OH NO, Melody your gonna be late," said her Ms.Sapphire.

"Oh shoot your right, c'mon we have to hurry," said Melody.

Jeremy was honestly confused and excited to see what was happening. They walked into a huge auditorium. Ms.Sapphire and Jeremy sat in the crowd.

"Wait.. where's Melody?" said Jeremy. "SHH it's starting," said Ms.Sapphire. And then he saw her, Melody with her beautiful peach skin, green emerald eyes, and long shiny apple red beach wave hair. She was wearing a light blue shirt tied to the front with ripped jeans, and let me tell you she looked bad ass but not just that she looked truly happy on stage, her smile could light up the darkest room, she was truly beautiful.

"Hello everyone I'm going to sing the song "try" By Colbie Caillat , hope you enjoy it I've been working very hard," said Melody. And what happened next was something I've never seen before thought Jeremy, you can see the life in her song, you could see everything and I swear it was like she was glowing, glowing like an angel. Before Jeremy knew it, it was all over. Everyone, and I mean everyone was moved to tears, they gave her a standing ovation. Jeremy ran back stage and picked her up and said

"you were amazing," he exclaimed, Jeremy just realized what he done and blushed red and so did Melody. They stared longingly into each others eyes as though they were speaking just with their eyes. Until Ms.Sapphire walked backstage and said

" hey kids do you want to go to the-," she stared blankly.

" WE WEREN'T DOING ANYTHING," Melody and Jeremy exclaimed.

" I'm gonna go to the gift shop," said Jeremy as he ran away at full speed. Ms.Sapphire stared blankly at her still blushing daughter

"I won't ask you anything, All I have to say is I like that boy so I approve, keep him close Sweetie," Said Ms.Sapphire. Melody was quite. Jeremy was in the gift shop when he found something that caught his eye. It was a beautiful necklace with a star and a microphone charm attached to it. He thought it would make a beautiful present for melody so he bought it. He went back to see Melody hugging her mother goobye, He wished her mother goodbye and promised to visit soon.Finally, it was time for them to head home so Melody and Jeremy said goodbye to Ms.Sapphire.

On the walk way home it was silent. Jeremy stopped in front of Melody house, when Melody went walking to her porch jeremy grabbed her hand and looked into her eyes. He grabbed her other hand and gave her a bag and ran all the way into his house. Melody went into the house and into her room that had stars on the ceiling that she painted herself and a beach themed wallpaper on her wall. When she opened the bag she found a beautiful necklace with a paper attached to it, it said "You're such an amazing singer, and I know one day your gonna be a big star- Love jemmy," she blushed and put it on. There was a number at the back of the card, It was Jeremy's phone number. Melody texted him and said "thank you, ".

He texted back and said "look out your window " and so she did and she saw him with the window open, Melody climbed her roof then climbed the tree next to the house and jumped to his roof. "WTH Mel your crazy" said jeremy exclaimed. "Thank you for the compliment and the necklace, now cmon the view is great up here" Melody said. Jeremy carefully climbed on the roof.Melody laid back and said "the stars really are beautiful,".

"Yeah they are but not as beautiful as you," jeremy then realized what he just said.

"Thanks but you don't have to lie to me," said Melody

"I didn't-" said jeremy

"I should go" melody said then she jumped to the closest branch and flipped of it onto her balcony. "Wow, she's amazing," Jeremy thought as he went back inside and went to bed.
