William's Mountain Misadventure

William appeared in a flash of bright light. His white trench coat lazily fluttered in the wind as he felt the frigid Himalayan breeze on his skin. "Did she really need to live so far?" He grumbled and looked at the peak of the mountain. "This is gonna be a long day." He sighed and started walking.

It would've been much easier for William if his powers wasn't so limited by her element. He could've teleported next to her, or at least near her location. Her powers' domain was so ridiculously large that he could only go as far as the foot of the mountain before his teleportation stops working entirely. 'It's really unfair that her element is a direct counter to mine.' He complained in his mind.

William walked through the rocky and snowy terrain using his staff as a walking stick for extra support. "I'm getting too old for this kind of shit." He complained between labored breaths. He was already walking for hours, but the peak is still miles away. 'There's only a few hours of daylight left.' He thought as he looked at the sun. 'At this rate I might freeze to death, or maybe those monsters she keeps around might tear me apart, or worst case scenario, those things attacking me while I'm freezing to death.' He thought as he pushed through the frozen slope. 'I need to find a shelter fast.' He looked around the rocky and snowy environment for any place that could serve as a shelter.

William saw a cave entrance nearby a huge boulder. He knew that this cave might be where those monsters live, but he couldn't risk freezing to death. He would rather risk an injury fighting those monsters than to freeze outside. He walked inside the cave, his staff glowed bright and illuminated the interior. The cave was empty aside from a few weirdly shaped black rocks there was nothing else inside. He sighed in relief and plopped down the floor.

Frank slept soundly, the gaping hole in his chest was now gone. Only yesterday, he was in the verge of death, now he's laying on the bed as if nothing had happened. The only evidence that he'd been wounded was the huge scar that now sits on his chest. Sleeping on the chair at Frank's bedside was Grace, She took care of Frank all night until she also collapsed from exhaustion.

Boris entered the cabin and was shocked. He saw the wound on Frank's chest completely healed leaving only a scar. "This is impossible." He said in his usual thick accent. He approached the sleeping Frank to see if he really had recovered. Even the ice poison was gone, he could no longer feel any traces the ice poison in Frank's body. 'His body is consuming a ton of his mana.' He frowned in deep thought and left a few moments later.

Frank suddenly jolted awake waking up Grace in the process. "What happened? Where am I? Where's Grace? Grace!" He asked frantically.

"Frank! You're awake!" Grace quickly pulled Frank into a hug. But she remembered the wound on his chest, she quickly pulled away, afraid the she might've hurt him. She looked at Frank's chest but was surprised to find that the wound was already gone and only a faint scar remained.

"Your wound, it's gone!" She said pleasantly surprised. She pulled him again in a tight hug.

"What wound?" Frank was confused, the last thing he could remember was– his eyes widened in shock, he finally remembered what happened to him. "Where are we? What happened to that guy?" Frank frantically asked Grace.

"I don't know, when I escaped I tried to call for help but nobody was around, but then an old man approached me I asked him to call the police but he said that was not necessary then next thing I knew I was standing in front of an antique shop and the same old man brought me here to see you. I'm sorry I left you there" Grace cried, as she apologized to Frank.

'That weird shopkeeper must've helped us.' Frank thought. "Don't blame yourself, I'm the one who told you to run. I'm just glad that you're okay." Frank hugged her tightly.

Grace buried her head on Frank's chest as she enjoyed the hug.

A huge towering figure entered the cave William was taking shelter at.

William was shook awake by the loud sound of footsteps. He looked at the cave entrance and saw a white, furry, humanoid creature that stood at a height that dwarfed even Boris himself. He quickly hid behind a pile of oddly shaped black rocks in the corner. He observed the creature closely, he was a bit relieved that he didn't have to fight that thing. He picked up one of the smaller black rocks and examined it. The outside of the rock was quite glossy, the inside however was rough and a bit flakey. 'What could this rock be?' He thought to himself. 'It looks like a–' His thoughts was broken by a sudden realization, a dreadful one. He looked at what the monster was doing, the monster was defecating. He looked at the fresh feces that has just dropped from the monster. It looks exactly the same as the 'rock' that he's holding right now albeit a bit wet.

William was so shocked that he dropped the 'rock' he was holding and in turn making a loud sound which attracted the attention of the defecating beast. He and the monster made eye contact. "Shit!" William quickly ran out of the cave. He regretted his decision of coming here. 'I should've given this task to Boris' He screamed in his mind. William ran as fast as he could possibly be, but the beast is too fast and was already at his tail despite his head start. William ran until he arrived at a jagged cliff.

He sighed, he knew he had no other choice but to fight the beast that's chasing him.

William turned around slowly as he looked at the giant beast right in the eye, his staff on his side as he prepares to fight. "First you made me touch your shit and now you chase me to a corner!" He looked at the beast fearlessly. "Come here motherfucker!"
