Arguing all night long, an answer was still not yet to be found so the best thing to do was to just let it go and hope that nobody will know the truth. Since there was no place to go for Haru, Aki let him sleep in the house for the night. It has been quiet for a while until he decided to break the silence. Laying down on the ground with just his bag to act as a pillow, he was still creeped out by the symbols on the wall and some old papers that looked like it was ripped from a book. It made him feel uncomfortable, he feel some shivers when we decides to close his eyes so he asked a question, even not knowing if she was still up.
"Umm, hey why does your house look a bit of.. odd?" it took some time for him to receive a reply so he was already going to sleep until he heard her voice.
"I love the supernatural, I love to learn more about ghosts and to know the secrets of their existance" she said
"But, have you seen a real ghost already? It took a long pause until she answered again.
"N-no" there was some hesitation in her voice.
"B-but I-" she rose up from the bed and looked at him. "I did everything just to see them!" her voice seemed to be a little bit louder.
"Oh so that's why you said I was a dumb looking ghost back in the forest huh. I actually don't believe it, just a bunch of bullcrap that old people tell in their stories" he said
"Hey! They are true!" she refused to accept his opinion. "They're true I know it!" she said
"But have you encountered one? No right? Wake up already from your delusions!" her ignorance reminded him about his children. He always tell them some scary ghost stories so they believed him but the memory of it made him mad, the memory will never happen again all because of his fault. It made him a bit mad, visible in the way he spoke.
"But I-" she wasn't even finish until he spoke again.
"THEY. ARE. NOT. REAL!" he shouted. With an angry face, he raised his body up to have a better look at her but instead of being angry, all he felt was guilty as he looked at Aki full of tears dropping from her face.
"I.. did e-everything j-just to s-see them.." her voice became faint and was full of sadness. He regretted doing that to her, the emotions that he felt for the past few days overcame him. All of the frustration, anger and sorrow that he felt, he accidentally let it out on her.
"H-hey Im sorry, I didn't mean to hurt you. I was just tired. Im sorry" he went to her bed and hugged her, she still continued crying but he felt that it made her feel better so he kept on.
"I did everything but why? Why I haven't seen even one of them?! Are they.. even real?" she looked at him with those teary eyes of hers. He couldn't say anything so he kept silent. Her cry echoed through the house as the moon was slowly starting to fall.
