|Thunder Storm|

"SIRE, STORM SPOTTED! TO OUR ARISTERA! BETWEEN THE STAR AND OUR PHANTOM MOON!" A voice shouted from above the vessel.

"CAN WE AVOID IT?" A large being yelled back.

"WE CANNOT! IT IS TOO LARGE TO AVOID!" The voice yelled back. "SHALL WE TURN BACK?"

"Bollocks." The large being muttered to himself. "Looks like this voyage is not a peaceful one. We are too far from land and our cargo is needed by our client as soon as possible." He sighed and yelled back, "WE CAN'T! WE MUST BRAVE THIS STORM."

"YES SIRE."

The large being shot a glance towards the stern of the boat. "We can't go back. This cargo must never be acquired by the wrong hands. But how do the daenons know of this secret voyage?"

If anyone from earth saw this ship, they would think of the ancient ages, where boats where made of wood and pushed by wind. But the strange thing would be the 3 glowing crystals around the boat. One at the bow and two by the stern. They glowed an unnatural red color with no visible power source. If anyone saw it, the first thing that would come to mind was 'magic'.

"May the fallen guide our souls" The being muttered to itself as it went back into the captains cabin.

Arctic Sea|November 24, 20981|1301

Paulina and the poor soldier enter the moon pool. She dismissed the stunned soldier and rushed to Vardan.

"Admiral!" She shouted,

"Ah, Officer Paulina, what is the issue? Didn't I task you to look after the weather?" Vardan says as he looks at a tablet.

"Yes admiral, you did. That is why I am here." Paulina said with a deadpan face.

"Wonderful, so you have an explanation as to what we saw earlier in the morning?" Vardan asks finally looking up from the tablet.

"No admiral, not an explanation, but an update." Paulina said with a heavy voice.

"You could have called me-"

"I know, but I thought this was something to be told in person." She interrupts.

"Alright, brief me." Vardan commands, seeing the troubled look on his officers face.

Paulina briefed Vardan over what she was told by Chester and Lucio.

"That indeed is a problem..." Vardan stroked his chin. he turned around and yelled into the submersible. "Chauncey! I am leaving for a short moment! The R&D team will be here any moment now so go ahead and start your tests without me!"

"Gotch-OW!" A loud bang could be heard as Chauncey hit his head against the submersible. "Ouch, I'm fine, go do whatever you need. I can handle myself."

"Are you sure?" Vardan questioned.

"Yes I'm sure. Now go, I don't need that to happen again."

"Alright, I'm looking forward to good results."

Bridge|1313

"Admiral on the bridge!!" An officer shouted.

Vardan entered and sat on his chair. "Open the windows. Lets see some scenery, shall we?" He instructed.

"Roger, opening windo-"

The ship starts shaking violently knocking everyone on the upper decks of the ship off their feet.

"Holy shit! Is everyone alright?" Vardan yells once he got use to the shaking. "Officer Paulina?"

"I'm fine, just what is happening? Enemy assault?" She asks as she hangs onto the back of the admirals chair.

"I don't think so, the only parties that know our location would be the USNA, UEN, and the SEAA." Vardan replies, "I don't think anyone of those parties would want to start a fight against us."

The shaking stops just as fast as it started.

"REPORTING!" One of the officers who got used to the shaking yelled. "All systems nominal, no signs of anything on the radar or sonar. If I may suggest?"

"Go ahead." Vardan nodded towards the officer.

"I suggest the shaking is from an underwater earth quake. Though such earthquakes would have subsided a few minutes ago." The officer spoke.

"I agree, take a team with you and launch an investigation."

"Yes sir!" The officer saluted and left the bridge.

"Officer Leeman!" Vardan calls out.

"Yes Admiral!" A young adult stood to attention. He is a caucasian male, with short black hair, a look very common look in North America and some parts of Europe.

"Conduct deep radar scans and communicate with our scout ships. Ask for a sitrep." Vardan ordered, "Sound of blue alert 1. Get the HALO jets to launch and provide recon around the ship."

"Yes sir!" Leeman shouts and scrambles away to complete these orders.

"Officer Paulina, call the moon pool, see how the test is moving along. Chauncey should be underwater right about now." Vardan turned to the pale lady. "...Are you feeling alright officer?"

"F-f-fine admiral, just a moment." Paulina pulls herself up and straightens herself out. "I'll go ahead and call them."

She puts her fingers by her nape, just below the ears and starts speaking."This is Operations Officer Paulina calling moon pool, requesting situation report about the test."

"This is Chauncey" A agitated voice responded, "This is incredable!!! The device works wonders!!!"

"Chauncey, care to explain?" Paulina asked, giving a smirk to Vardan.

"IT WORKS, IT FUCKING WORKS WHOOOOOOOO!!!!" Chauncey yelled, lost in his own ecstasy.

Paulina hung up on him and held her forehead.

"So, how is it? Did the test succeed?" Vardan asked the defeated lady.

Sighing, Paulina responded warily to him."Hes yelling 'It works! It works!' and thats about all that he is saying right now. Can we pull him up and knock some sense into him?"

"Soon, but let's wait for him to get a full load before pu-"

"REPORTING!!" Officer Leeman runs into the bridge, gasping for breath.

Vardan turns to the young man, holding his ears and retorts. "We have radio communications, you could have reported through there."

"*huff* *huff* Oh *huff* yeah." Leeman clutches his chest as he realizes the blunder he just made.

"Well since you're here, might as well tell me what made you run all the way here." Vardan sighs at the young officer.

"Oh...RIGHT!" Leeman starts to shout again, "WE HAVE LOST ALL COMMUNICATION TO OUR SCOUT SHIPS AND TO OTHER NATIONS! I tried long range radio, phantom communication, satellite communication, and wartime emergency broadcast signals, all of which are dead."

"What?!" Vardan was shocked at this information, "Are you sure? This is not a joke you can simply make."

"I swear this is not a joke." Leeman reported, "Even I did not believe it, so I ran each signal 4 times. All 16 tries have all been met with static."

"Very well, dismissed." Vardan replied, "Stay here on the bridge, continue to monitor the comm station."

"Yes sir." Leeman saluted and walked to a nearby computer.

Vardan sat and stared out the window at the wall of clouds, swirling around the ship. He looked down onto the deck as Z-388 recon jets were latched onto catapults and launched into the sky.

"Hmm... can it be?" He muttered to himself.

"What?" Paulina, who was checking something on her tablet, thinking the admiral said something.

"What do you think of this predictament we have gotten ourselves into?" He asks vaguely.

"I don't know sir, this is a definite first for me." she replies loosely.

An alert came through the radio from the recon jets.

"Times 1 contact, 160 from the boat tagged alpha. Times 78 contact, 130-200 from the boat tagged beta. Both contacts headed straight towards the boat."
