The Clash of Elements

The day of the black sky, the heavens weeping for the death of a good man, Jack S. Ames. Three knocks and the door slowly crawled opened, "Brother, you requested to see me?" Theresa respectfully asked as marching through the door.

His face was one of a ghost, blank and unreadable. "Close the door, Mrs. Ungeheuerlich," he answered.

"Is this any other personal mission?" Theresa asked after the closing of the door then approaching the King.

"No, Jack Ames is dead," King Ungeheuerlich answered as he rose from seat then walking to the window avoiding his sister's eyes, "you can visit his grave, it is located in the Royal cemetery under the willow tree beside of the our parents' graves and that will be all."

"He is dead, how did he die? She asked with a lifeless look upon her face but with no answer her pose quickly changed, her face reflects her rage, " brother I demand an answer."

The silence slowly drowned out by the sudden rain,"I said that will be all soldier, you may leave," He said as he stared in the distance. One could wonder what could be passing through his mind but shocked on his response she was paralysed until his reflection staring dead into her eyes. Her rage incomparable to any known or unknown source existing nor non-existing on this planet, storming out the room with a monstrous slamming to door. When she left he said to himself, "Jack my friends, I am haunted be the thought I am the reason for your death."

"My lord, the jobs are done," a voice said from the centre of the room.

"Good and I trust you found someone," he said as he continue to stare out the window.

"Yes my Lord, a young prodigy named Aleksandra Zielinski, she is an orphan," the voice stopped at the sight of the king's hand which slowly rose.

"Thank you, I will need a detailed report on this girl but for now have her attack my sister, she is on her way to the cemetery," he said.

"Has you wish my lord," the voice said as with each word the voice slowly faded.

Any soldier who saw Theresa knew to avoid her path, at one seek the guards immediately opened the front gates. The tears from above pouring down crashing to the land slowly she walk along the castle's wall. The beautiful Calla slowly open fully blooming in the rain leading her path the cemetery's gate. With the single willow tree arched over the graves. As she walk toward the grave kneeling in respect with her hands joined together praying.

The rain suddenly stopped in place around Theresa the droplet quickly changing shape to thin needle like projectiles as they were be launched she cleared the attack zone with unmatched speed. Resting her hands on the katana before being bombarded by ice needles. Drawing her sword from the scabbard countering most of the needles but the rest reap through her uniform with thin scrape to her body. Faster than they could reform she cleanly destroyed each needles. When she destroyed the last needle, the last rain droplet crash onto the grass but the assault didn't ended there.

Octopus like tentacle quickly formed from the water droplets on the grass, at the sight of this weapon she firmly gripped her blade, the lightning jumping off the long narrow strip of steel and charged at the tentacles. With each attack from the tentacles she easily countered evaporating a tiny amount on just contact. This one sided attack quickly changed after five minutes as the tentacles fell back to grass and the water flow underneath her feet; in one motive the water suddenly enclosed her, then freezing. A figure leaping from the willow tree the ice tomb immediately broke open, ramming the handle of her sword into its stomach.

As it laid on the ground in pain, she swinged her sword up toward cleanly slicing the mask it wore in half then place her blade inches away from its neck. Using the surface of the blade she slowly rose it's face, she only stare into this girl's eye, this girl looked no older than she was but when she closed her eyes. Theresa twist her wrist repositioning her sword toward her heart and jab it with her intention to kill.

Before she could land this blow,

Klaus grab her arm then rising it to sky, " what is the meaning of this Klaus?" she asked before spinning around trying to shake her arm free but he easily grab the other arm. As he looked down on her, he could see the pain in her eyes as he kneel to her level, he began to hug her it took some time but her arms finally slowly wrapped around him.

As this girl slowly pick herself off the ground, Theresa slowly distance herself from Klaus preparing to attack. The girl, her left arm wrapped around her stomach and her back bended due to the pain, " Aleksandra stay down," Klaus said, "you exhausted your pneuma; you are at your limit."

"Wait you know this girl?" She asked.

"Yes, She was an orphan and I asked her to do this," he answered.

"Why," Theresa asked before she slide her blade back in the scabbard.

"She will be your new partner," he answered, "and this is a way I could assess both of your skill."

"This girl can't be my partner she is weak, a flower like her don't know the horror of war," she answered, " you will die if you go on the battlefield and I don't want another baby to protect."

Her knees like noodles, but her will forcing herself to stand, " you are suffering, I know those eyes all too well," Aleksandra said before collapsing inches from the ground but being l caught by Klaus.

"Theresa, I will take her to the infirmary," he said before he started to walking away with her unconscious body in hand, "it would be lovely if you join us."
