Welcoming

Days passed and Aleksandra's blue hazel eyes piercings through the midnight darkness of the room. As she tried to moved, she heard the sound of steel scratching iron, "Don't move," Theresa said sitting in the shadows slowly drawing her sword from the scabbard.

Aleksandra slowly stopped after recognising the voice and asked, "where am I?"

"You're in the Royal infirmary," she answered, "just know if you try anything I will cut you down."

She closed her eyes before Theresa slides back in her sword. Hours passed and Aleksandra felt an intense burning around her body when she open her eyes, she stood in the middle of an open field staring at a wild fire. Through the dancing flames she heard a faded sound, " Aleksandra, get out of here."

Moments later another voice said, "Aleksandra let's go," before she was lifted from behind, her head still facing the blaze as she was been carrying further away. Piercing through the fire she saw two silhouettes fighting in the distance as one silhouette fell, she shouted, " Papa."

Leaping from her sleep, heart rate racing with death, her breathing complementing the terror in her eye. Where a gentle hand slowly wrap around her chest, she was shocked but need the comfort with tears running down her face.

The king slowly lifted her up, then he sat on the bed resting Aleksandra on his lap. When he saw her face, using his finger he gently wipe away the tears, "don't cry little one, you are safe now, it was just a dream," he replied as he stares into her eyes with a sun bright smile upon his face, "I wanted to know if you had time to think about my offer?"

"No,I haven't," she answered after lifting herself off his lap.

"Take your time," he replied as he stand up, "let's go,"

"Where are we going?" She asked as she trailed behind the King holding the tail of his jacket.

"Do you care to hold my hand?" He asked before her head shook no answering the question, "to your room."

"In this castle?" She asked gently pulling on his shirt to get his attention.

"But of course you are now a new member of the family," he answered as he slowed down.

As they walked down the hall, before turning left, there were paintings hanged from wall to wall. She stopped and staring at the last painting from the collection, the king's silver white hair with his cold icy stare, the queen's golden blonde hair with her sunny bright smile, a young child formally dressed but distracted by wild imagination and a baby a well of end possibilities she thought to herself before he said "do you like it? that's a painting of my family before the war," dragging her attention back to earth.

They continue walking when passing two guards and a man where she heard the faintest of voices saying, "did the king loss his mind, inviting a Polandian here especially a street rat like her."

He stopped, "Sir Marquess Zajac the III, insulting my guest is an act I as the king can't overlook," he stated, " apologise at once."

Cuffing in shock then biting his lower lip before saying, "My king, you can't be serious, a man of my status apologise to her."

"Sir Zajac because of your past history within the Royal court, you will not loss your tongue from your lack of hostility but get on the ground and ask for her forgiveness," He said with just the tilt for his head piercing over his shoulder at the Marquess.

As Zajac lower himself, Aleksandra dragged the jacket's sleeve to grab his attention as she look at the man shaking her head. Where the king interpreted his apologise, " you are forgiven Zajac better not let this happen again," he said as he continue walking.

The rest of the walk was silent before he stopped at the door before opening it, "this will be your living quarters,"he said holding the door for her, "you should clean up, Miss. Goldnish will be down shortly with a change of clothes, if anything you may ask her."

As he tried to left she gently grab his hand and said, "where are you going,"

"I have business that need to be clear up," he replied before he continue to walk out, closing the door behind him. As she slowly remove her clothing she think to her about all the events that lead to her here. Minutes of her bath a gently knock on her door followed by a feminine voice saying, " Hello Lady Aleksandra, may I enter?"

"Who is it?" She asked only dressed in a robe left of the queen sized bed.

"My apologises Lady Aleksandra my name is Miss. J. Goldnish," she answered.

The twist of the knob followed by Aleksandra welcoming Miss. Goldnish where she was met with a wardrobe of dress on a rack. When she wheeled the rack in she started to lay multiple dresses on the bed. "What is all of this Miss. Goldnish?" Aleksandra asked in confession.

"These are the dresses for Royal plus the king is hosting a banquet," she answered running through different dresses comparing each in-font Aleksandra, " it is for the victory of Polandia; everyone is invited to the castle, the king is the best thing that ever happened to this nation after the lost we endure at the hands of the alliance."

Before Aleksandra could replied to Miss. Goldnish, another lady walked into the room. Her red peppery hair, Dark brown eyes who was dressed in a scarlet red dress," Lady Sofia," Miss. Goldnish said I shocked after seeing her.

She walk over gently picking a white with sky blue trims and a pair of pale blue ballerinas with a pair of white ribbons, " your blue hazel eyes and pale blonde hair will fit perfectly in this dress," she asked with dress in hand,"thank you Miss. Goldnish but I'll take it from here."

"Very well,"she replied as she carry the rest of the dress out the door, " nice meeting your Lady Aleksandra."

"My name is Sofia Katz, I'm one of the king's personal advisor," she said as she extended her hand toward Aleksandra, "And you."

"Aleksandra Zielinski, nice to meet you," She replied holding and shaking her hand.

As Aleksandra sit down and Sofia began to comb her hair, while Aleksandra asked, "Miss. Katz, what do you think about king Ungeheuerlich?"

"Not so formal you may call me Sofia, but for your question Klaus did something I never thought possible, he took a break country and inspired hope to it's people," she answered as she gently brush back and cutting her split-ends , " as a king he truly cares about his people and will lay help life on his dream so to answer your question I know he's a great man."

"Thank you, Miss Katz," Aleksandra said before correcting herself, " I meant Sofia."

"Thank you for what exactly?" she asked as she begun to wrap the tip of Aleksandra's hair to produce curls.

"For your honest answer," Aleksandra answered, " may I answer another question?"

"Very well, what is it?" She said as she help Aleksandra into the dress."

"Why did you came?" Aleksandra asked.

"Simple Klaus asked me to after what happened early with Marquess Zajac, he would like to avoid another situation like that from happening about," she answered.

"I see," Aleksandra replied before she looked down thinking to herself, " even there I'm not wanted, he'll just get rid of me."

"Are you alright?" she asked with a worried tone in her voice.

Aleksandra's face spring with life, a sunny smile glued upon it, " Yea I'm just fine," Aleksandra answered.
