Island 2 Cluster, Asteroid Field.
"Everyone! Get ready for battle," Henry's voice boomed across the field. The one-hour break had passed in the blink of an eye.
Combat soldiers sprang into action, flying out of their temporary camps and swiftly taking up positions among the asteroids.
"The enemy will be here in 10 minutes. Brigadier Evelyn, you lead the combat soldiers and set up a defensive perimeter.
Air Commodore Samuel, support Evelyn with your battleships.
Major General Li Wei, join me in battle," Henry's commands rang out, clear and decisive.
"Yes, Sir!" Everyone responded in unison. Major General Li Wei, one of the decorated combat Generals, stood among them. His combat prowess was next to Henry's. Li Wei's suit, called "Taurus," was a 4th gen Atom suit, a towering 43 meters tall red giant. Its main weapon was a double-sided ax, one of the most destructive weapons available. The ax was thick and heavy, capable of both cutting and smashing through enemies with sheer force. While the suit excelled in raw power, it sacrificed agility in return.
Steam puffed out from his nose as he prepared for combat, his determination evident. The elite soldiers stood poised and ready for battle alongside him.
Henry then communicated with his command post.
"Send in the Battlestar I! And prepare the UVA bombs," Henry ordered, his voice resolute.
"It's ready, Sir!" an officer replied from the Warship Battlestar I. Warships, as their name implies, are designed specifically for large-scale wars. Human forces possess only 9 Warships, highlighting their rarity and the challenges involved in their production.
"Buzzz… ."
"Buzzz… ."
"Buzzz… ."
"You can hear the buzzing sound coming from every direction, drawing closer and closer. The soldiers were getting nervous. They had never faced such a large number of enemies, let alone ones much more powerful than them."
"Good lord!" the soldiers exclaimed, seeing seas of Entomons coming from every direction. Never in their dreams would they have imagined something this outrageous.
There were many Entomons which they had never seen before, slowly closing in. Right when the swarms of Entomons approached within 100 miles...
"Fire!" Henry shouted.
The Warship then fired rounds of UVA bombs (Ultra-Violet Antimatter bombs). They traveled at the speed of 27,000 miles per second into the void, piercing through the sea of Entomons. Everything went quiet for a moment.
The new swarm of Entomons was led by a large Stag King. When he saw something ominous coming towards them silently at an incredible speed, he suddenly felt restless. His instinct told him that it was something extremely dangerous.
"SCREECH… ."
He let out a loud screech, telling his army to get away from the light, but it was all too late.
"BOOOOM… ."
There was a flash of blinding light.
The clueless Entomons were dazed as they looked at the blinding light passing through them, turning them into dust. The blast ripped across space, killing billions of Entomons. Those within the radius of the fireball, approximately 18,500 miles, were turned into dust, while radiation burned some of the smaller and weaker Entomons to a crisp. The air blast blew away all the remaining Entomons. The explosion was more than 5,000 times stronger than the Tsar Bomba, a 100-megaton bomb, and equivalent to the one-year energy output of the sun. One of these missiles could destroy Earth. The missiles ripped ten large holes into the swarm of Entomons.
The success brought a momentary relief as more than half of the Entomons were wiped out. Cheers erupted among the soldiers when they witnessed the miserable condition of the remaining Entomons. However, the realization dawned that they had no more UVA bombs left. Each Warship was allocated a specific number of UVA bombs, with higher-grade Warships like General Rick's Battle Star II receiving more, while the rest were stockpiled on Earth under heavy security. The cessation of mass destructive weapon manufacturing seemed like a grave miscalculation now, given the current circumstances.
The old and less powerful Uranium Antihydrogen bombs, also known as Antimatter Hydrogen bombs, are stored in secure locations due to their harmful nature to the environment. Many of these bombs have already been dismantled and repurposed for fuel. Uranium, being a rare and limited resource, is only formed in specific conditions on planetoids, leading to its depletion long ago during the earlier stages of civilization. Alternatively, it's possible that the farming of Uranium was made illegal, and newer, more efficient minerals have been discovered as replacements.
The Stag King, despite being flung back by the radiation, and many of the Noble Entomons managed to survive the blast relatively unscathed. As long as they remained outside the direct vicinity of the fireball, they could withstand most attacks. Despite suffering casualties among their ranks, their resilience remained a formidable challenge for the humans.
"SCREECH… ."
The Stag King screeched in agony as he witnessed many of his subordinates writhing in pain. Seeing half of his swarm reduced to dust filled him with fury. The loss of his comrades only fueled his determination to retaliate against the humans with even greater force.
"SCREEEEECH… ."
The Stag King let out a long, piercing screech, rallying his remaining forces to charge straight into the heart of the human defenses. With the swarms following behind him in a frenzied manner, they sought to unleash their wrath upon the humans in retaliation for the devastation caused by the UVA bombs.
"Everyone! Release everything you have." Henry shouted.
As the Entomons charged relentlessly, the human forces unleashed a barrage of firepower in response to Henry's command. Bullets and lasers tore through layers of the Entomon swarm, creating chaos and destruction in their wake. However, despite the onslaught, the Entomons continued their advance, drawing ever closer to the human armies, now only a few miles away.
"Brace for impact!!!" Shouted Henry. The Noble Entomons charged through the barrage of bullets with astonishing speed, their thick armored exoskeletons deflecting the projectiles effortlessly. The Atom suits, designed to withstand formidable forces, were no match for the sheer power and ferocity of the Noble Entomons. With each strike, the Entomons tore through the once-impenetrable defenses of the human soldiers, rendering the Atom suits useless against their onslaught. The soldiers could only watch in horror as their last line of defense crumbled before the unstoppable force of the Noble Entomons.
As the Stag King and his subordinates rammed through the human defense line, chaos erupted on the battlefield. They went on a rampage, tearing through anything and everything in their path, leaving destruction and devastation in their wake. Despite the human forces' efforts to hold them back, the sheer force and ferocity of the Entomons overwhelmed their defenses, scattering soldiers and destroying equipment with alarming speed.
The emergence of these new, stronger Entomons posed a grave threat to the human forces. With their increased size, strength, and numbers, the Noble Entomons, led by the formidable Stag King, presented an even greater challenge than before. Standing at towering heights of 50 meters and more, they loomed over the battlefield, instilling fear and uncertainty among the human ranks. As they charged forward with relentless aggression, it became clear that the human forces faced a formidable adversary unlike any they had encountered before.
"Bzz… Bzz…"
"BAM… ."
Henry's order rallied the CCS3 and above Atom suits to confront the Noble Entomons head-on. With their advanced weaponry and enhanced capabilities, these elite soldiers engaged the towering Entomons in fierce combat. Each clash sent shockwaves reverberating through the battlefield as the Atom suits and Noble Entomons clashed with unmatched intensity.
Henry, leading the charge alongside his elite soldiers, displayed unparalleled skill and determination as they fought against the formidable foes. Their coordinated efforts aimed to cripple the Noble Entomons' advance and turn the tide of battle in favor of humanity.
Amidst the chaos and destruction, the clash between the Atom suits and the Noble Entomons became a symbol of defiance against overwhelming odds, as Henry and his forces sought to stem the relentless tide of destruction unleashed by their monstrous adversaries.
"Bam…"
Winter Wolf and Taurus, piloted by Henry and Major General Li Wei respectively, became formidable forces on the battlefield. With their immense strength and advanced weaponry, they charged into the fray, their towering figures striking fear into the hearts of the Noble Entomons.
Winter Wolf, with its agility and precision, darted between the towering foes, delivering devastating blows with its razor-sharp claws and powerful energy blasts. Each strike was calculated and lethal, as Henry skillfully maneuvered the suit to exploit weaknesses in the Entomons' defenses.
Meanwhile, Taurus, towering above the battlefield, unleashed its sheer power with each swing of its double-sided ax. Major General Li Wei's mastery of the suit allowed him to cleave through the ranks of the Noble Entomons with unmatched force, carving a path of destruction through the enemy lines.
Together, Winter Wolf and Taurus formed a formidable duo, their combined might turning the tide of battle against the relentless onslaught of the Noble Entomons. As they fought side by side, they became beacons of hope amidst the chaos, inspiring their fellow soldiers to stand firm against the overwhelming forces arrayed against them.
The Stag King finally notices Henry and his team slaying his warriors. He becomes furious and charges straight towards Henry, followed by his two Protector Entomons. These Protector Entomons are middle-class Noble Entomons, standing 53 meters tall with additional spikes adorning their bodies. The Noble Entomons are divided into various classes, each with hierarchies akin to monarchies. The Stag King rampages, destroying everything in its path as it charges directly at Henry with its scissor horn.
Henry had already prepared for this. He smashed nearby Entomons into pulp and flew off to a distance.
"Li Wei! Hold off those two bugs… I will treat you to a bottle of wine if we survive this," Henry said and took off to a nearby asteroid. He landed on the surface and waited for the Stag King, ready to duke it out. His strategy was simple: get the Stag King away from the battlefield and fight him somewhere deserted.
"I will take your word for it," Li Wei replied, eyeing the two gigantic Entomons approaching.
Li Wei halted right in front of them, blocking their paths. The two Entomons grew furious and attempted to grab Li Wei with their scissor horns, aiming to crush him. However, Li Wei swiftly dodged their attacks and swung his ax down on one of them.
A deafening noise reverberated across the battlefield as the intense clash of titans commenced. The Protector Entomons was struck with such force that it was sent hurtling across space, crashing violently against one of the asteroids. Li Wei, with a resounding stomp, propelled himself through space at incredible speed, landing squarely atop the Protector Entomons buried within the asteroid's surface.
"SCREECH…"
The other one became enraged, feeling ignored. It screeched and charged straight for Li Wei.
The battlefield intensified. The overwhelming number of Entomons failed to deter the humans, who stubbornly defended their positions. Battleships brought down large groups of Entomons with their highly advanced weapons, deploying many miniaturized missiles stronger than Tsar Bomba at 100 megatons, dealing significant damage and holding back the swarms.
Rapid bullets and lasers tore through the battlefield, shredding the Entomons into pieces. Spitter Entomons unleashed highly corrosive acids at the Atom suits, reducing them to liquid. Bio-suits burst out of the Atom suits and retreated from the front line, using guns and lasers to fight back and contribute to the war effort.
Leviathans crash down into the humans, sucking up a large number of them into their gigantic mouths by the hundreds.
The Warship and the mothership release their heavy weapons, dealing massive damage to the Leviathans, but they are too big to be taken down by just a few shots.
Watching all of this aches Henry's heart.
"Activate the UV-Beam. Notify all of the Motherships to target those Leviathans," Henry orders, activating his blue energy shield as soon as he speaks.
"BAM…"
He took a hit and slammed against a rough mountain."
He stood up and gazed at the Stag King, who was poised for another assault. Without hesitating, he planted his foot and charged straight at the Stag King. Anticipating the move, the Stag King opened its sharp and spiky scissor horn in an attempt to ensnare Henry. However, Henry swiftly dodged the attack and aimed for the Stag King's neck.
Unbeknownst to anyone, a sharp, 7-meter-high-frequency single claw emerged from Henry's knuckle and drove directly into the cracks between the Stag King's neck. Fortunately for the Stag King, its thicker shell limited the penetration to a depth of only 3 meters, much to Henry's surprise. Typically, he could effortlessly slice through Noble Entomons, but this one's shell proved thicker and harder. Nonetheless, he managed to carve through a few meters, which he knew was sufficient. At least now he knew he could kill this Stag King.
"ROOAAR... ."
The Stag King roared loudly, consumed by frenzy. He slammed into Henry with his massive body, attempting to crush him under his weight, while blue blood squirted from his neck. However, after a few seconds, the bleeding ceased, and the tissue began to repair itself. Henry clung onto the Stag King, astonished as he observed the wound. Surprisingly, the shells didn't repair themselves.
"I guess the shell takes a lot of time to heal," Henry thought as he pierced straight through the gap between the shells.
"SCREECH..."
The Stag King screeched in pain. He rolled madly and crashed into a small hill. As he rolled, Henry was flung away by the force, slamming into the hill and creating a cloud of dust. Bugs had one weakness, and that was their flexibility.
The cloud of dust settled down slowly, revealing Henry and the Stag King locked in a tense standoff. The Stag King was now completely cautious of Henry's moves. He looked around and saw his subordinates were not faring well either.
'This human is too strong. He is not only fast but very cunning as well. I cannot defeat him alone... The Stag Queen will be here in an hour. I have to prolong this battle. There is no reason for me to fight this insect to the death,' he thought. He steadied himself and waited for Henry to make a move.
Henry was surprised. He didn't understand what was going on, but he couldn't afford to prolong this fight any longer. You never knew when another swarm of Entomons would show up. He slammed his foot and charged straight for the Stag King. Both of them started clashing again. This time, the Stag King was in a defensive position, so Henry didn't have the opportunity for lethal blows.
On the Mothership...
A group of people focused on the task of firing up the heavy weapon.
"UV-Beam is ready, Group Captain!" One of the technicians reported.
"Lock the target on those Leviathans!" Group Captain Aaron ordered.
"Target locked, Sir!"
"FIRE!!!" Group Captain Aaron shouted.
"Zzzzoooooom… ."
"Zzzzoooooom… ."
"Zzzzoooooom… ."
Multiple flashes of light illuminated the battlefield. Space seemed to warp as the Violet beam passed through. Suddenly, everyone was distracted, looking up at the bright flashes of light. The energy was so intense that their souls vibrated. Before they could comprehend what was happening, they saw two Leviathans floating lifelessly in space, with large holes in their heads. Additionally, three Leviathans were critically injured, their bodies burned by the beams but missing vital organs. They couldn't heal or regenerate from such wounds, and it was only a matter of time before they bled to death. The remaining Leviathans, frightened, retreated far from the battlefield. The Violet beam had torn through the Leviathans as if they were nothing.
"Group Captain! We have 75% energy remaining," reported one of the pilots.
"Charge it again!" ordered Aaron.
"Group Captain! 11 Leviathans are heading towards our direction. Their target is all of the Warships and Motherships," one of the cabin crew hurriedly reported.
"Dispatch every battleship we have and order them to attack their sensitive spots. Tell them to distract the Leviathans for 2 minutes."
"Yes, Sir!" replied the crew members.
The reserve battleships were dispatched and headed for the Leviathans.
On the battlefield...
Li Wei was struggling. The Protector Entomons proved tougher than he had anticipated. His attacks weren't inflicting enough damage. Though he noticed several small cracks in their shells, they weren't life-threatening injuries.
Dodging and striking with his giant two-sided ax, Li Wei aimed for their heads and crevices, but his efforts only seemed to enrage them further.
"WHAM…"
One of the Protector Entomons slammed him into a rocky mountain.
Li Wei grinned and rose from the crumbled rocks, facing the two charging Entomons. Gripping his ax tightly, he shouted, "Come on, you bastards! Show me what you've got!"
With a mighty stomp, he leaped forward, smashing his ax onto one of them while activating his energy shield.
"BAM…"
He was smashed by the other Protector Entomon.
This time, he suffered heavy damage. His suit was damaged and needed to repair itself slowly, consuming materials and energy. The fight was at a stalemate for now, but he wasn't sure if he could win this battle.
On the Mothership.... ...
"Group Captain! The UV-Beam will be ready in 30 seconds," the technician reported.
"Lock the target on those incoming Leviathans, and inform Lieutenant General Henry that this is our last UV-Beam. Our energy cannot drop below more than 50%," ordered Aaron.
"Yes, Sir!" the crew replied.
"Sir! Three of the Leviathans seem to be heading straight for us, despite all of the firepower," one of the crew members reported hurriedly.
"How long until it's fully charged?" Aaron asked.
"21 seconds, Sir!" replied his crew member.
"How long until the Leviathans reach us?" Aaron asked as he looked at the Leviathans heading towards them. Thousands of Prugnator-Droids and SFJ (Space Fighter Jet) were shooting and bombarding the Leviathans, but nothing seemed to be able to stop them.
"15 seconds till they reach us, Sir!" replied the crew member.
"We don't have a choice! Put the Mothership in self-destruction mode within 15 seconds. Detach the Command post from the Mothership, and announce an emergency evacuation," Aaron ordered with a resolute face.
Union Commanders are known for their decisiveness in decision-making.
Within the mothership, chaos reigned. Those nearest to the command post rushed in, while the others hastened towards the escape pods. Although 15 seconds seemed brief, it was an eternity in the 26th century. With ultra-fast hover pods propelled by magnets and vacuum lifts fueled by air pressure, they could reach their destinations in mere seconds.
In the command post, an AI diligently scanned for life signatures, ensuring no one was overlooked amidst the warnings. Droids were dispatched to facilitate evacuation, creating an efficient system. In less than 5 seconds, everyone was making their way out of the mothership.
"All personnel, evacuate immediately from the vicinity of Mothership Centurion 3SA-734," Aaron broadcasted urgently. "The ship will self-destruct in 13 seconds. Maintain a distance of at least 50 miles from Centurion 3SA-734. Repeat: Retreat and maintain a 50-mile safety zone."
As the warnings echoed, everyone hastily retreated from the Mothership. The Command post, too, detached itself and flew away from the battlefield. Meanwhile, the main body of the Mothership, unyielding in its course, continued straight towards the incoming Leviathan.
"Impacts in 7 seconds..." Aaron's voice echoed through the speakers, counting down. "6...5...4...3...2...1...0..."
Before the Leviathans could comprehend the situation, the ship they were targeting charged straight at them.
"BOOOOOOOM..." The deafening explosion ensued.
The Leviathans and the Mothership collided, unleashing a horrifying spectacle. Simultaneously, the fully charged UV-Beam energy was discharged into the explosion, illuminating the entire battlefield. At first, it was a blinding flash of light, and then the aftermath of the explosion unfolded, painting a breathtaking scene.
The Leviathans, after the explosion, were left battered and charred, showing no signs of life. Their defeat was palpable.
"ROAAAR…" The remaining Leviathans roared with anger, their grief palpable. However, before they could fully grieve or react, they witnessed four bright flashes of light heading their way. In a blink of an eye, a large hole was burned through them, as if by an invisible hand. It was another four UV-Beam strikes, this time targeting the Leviathans. The death toll rose to seven, with three wounded warriors left, while one managed to survive the carnage.
Jubilant cheers echoed from the human ranks as they witnessed the demise of the Leviathans. With this victory, the humans had almost depleted their energy reserves, leaving the Warship with just a few more rounds of the powerful UV-Beam at its disposal.
The Stag King, witnessing the slaughter of his forces, was consumed by a fiery rage. With an army of over 70 billion subordinates, he had now lost more than half of them in this unexpected battle. Unwilling to accept this defeat.
He roared loudly and charged straight at Henry, attempting to snap him with his scissor horn. However, this was exactly what Henry needed. He had been waiting for the Stag King to open up his defense. Dodging the attack, Henry went straight for the previous spot where he had injured the Stag King. With his 7-meter claw, he bore a deep hole into the Stag King's neck. This time, it went all in. However, it still wasn't enough to kill the Stag King. His neck was as thick as his vitality was extraordinary. Henry clung onto his neck and slashed a few more times, trying to rip his head off.
"SCREECH…"
The Stag King screeched loudly and swung wildly. He finally felt a sense of crisis and an intense amount of pain, but suddenly he grinned with his big eye. His backup had already arrived.
Henry also suddenly sensed something. He felt a huge sense of crisis. His instincts told him he needed to leave fast. If he didn't, he would be dead meat. He jumped off the Stag King and flew away from the meteorite. The Stag King didn't chase him. Instead, he just bowed towards the Dark Abyss.
All of the Entomons suddenly stopped attacking and flew off into the Dark Abyss.
Henry's soul shivered as he looks at the incoming enemies.
