Cold

Creaakkk...

Opening a door has never been that horrifying for Jason's life. Well, except his first day in high school as a transferee and how he recalled being called to the principal's office once for being involved in a ramble.

Oh, but never mind those. This moment was truly a nerve wracking experience for himself.

His hand were shaking a little on the door's handle while opening a small little gap to the training room of the agency.

"Go on kiddo, open it."

"Come on, open it already. If you don't open it now, you will be LATE."

Meanwhile, a devi-- ehem Lia was urging Jason on the background with a smile. People couldn't even think if she is somehow mocking him or encouraging him because of her words and smile not mixing up together. Hmmm...

"Uh" Jason scrunched his face before facing towards the door. He made a resolute face for a second before...shutting the door close.

Lia was going to have a moment of happiness before it distinguished into smithereens. All the while, having a courteous smile on her pretty lips.

'This kid has been going at this for a whole 5 minutes already. Three more and I'll just push him inside.'

"Fine" Lia sighed with exasperation and pulled the skittish boy to a nearby seat.

"What are you afraid of?" Lia finally erased the smile of 'courtesy' on her face and exchanged it with a serious look. A look of that a superior.

She crossed her arms and looked towards the Jason who sat opposite of her, with his lips pursed, guilty of his cowardice action.

"I-uh" He hesitatingly paused thinking hard on what to say when he heard a slightly cold voice in front of him.

"Sit straight young man and tell it to my face why are you so nervous." Lia finally said her piece with her aura of 'courteousness' long gone. She herself have little patience at times especially when she's not negotiating with someone regarding business.

This time, she showed a teeny weeny bit of her dominating aura in front of Jason. Why you think?

Well, her OCD was acting up again. She didn't want to be scolded for a petty reason of being 'late'. If anything else, she hates being reprimanded for being late. And she wouldn't allow that in this case.

Upon hearing her slightly disgruntled voice, Jason somehow reflexively straightened his posture and stared right front of Julia, in which he regretted looking at her.

Right now, she was oozing a slight bit of her aura, which kinda scared the poor chick.

He gulped down his saliva from being scared of Lia right now. Cold sweat ran through his hands and he didn't dare to move. His nervousness was gone...because it was replaced with fear.

"I-i-i-i uh, uhm, s-s-sss-scared from t-the s-screening." He gave a sigh of exhaustion that he wasn't even aware of doing, from just finishing his sentence in front of Lia.

'Hn, anyway, why is the screening the first thing I have to do.' Jason whined a little in his mind, knowing he will fail big time later on.

Lia raised her eyebrow upon hearing the reason why he was afraid. She already knew part of it was his insecurities and anxiousness, 'But why the screening though?'

After a second Lia spoke once again.

"Don't tell me, you didn't prepar-."

She haven't even finished off her sentence when Jason somehow got a courage from who knows where did he picked up from to cut her off amidst speaking.

"No! Ah n-no. I prepared a little piece." He strongly denied at first but when he realize he slightly raised his voice he got timid again, barely even hearing his last sentence.

"Hmm. Then are you afraid the company will regret picking you when we see your performance later on?"

'Spot on.' Lia smirked when she saw that he didn't reply, even more when he flinched at her question.

Jason darted Lia a timid glance before looking downwards to the ground. By now, her tense mood was now lessened by half when she finally got the answer of what she wanted.

She contemplated for a bit before darting a glance towards her wristwatch.

'Two minutes left. Better wrap this out.'

She stood up and Jason followed hastily.

She stopped by the door to the training room and faced Jason who was following her like a chick would follow the mother hen quite abruptly.

"Well, let me tell you Mr. Jason Han." Lia smiled rather gently before grabbing his hand 'slyly' unto her's. She patted his back and 'slightly' pulled him beside her so now he was facing the door, the same as her's.

"You don't need to worry about the company's arrangement. It's already final when the Boss says you are in." She looked at him with her growing smile.

In Jason's eyes, that smile was very saintly and gentle. Well, not until he was forcefully pushed into the training room, hearing the last sentence before going into panic mode.

"So when you're in, YOU ARE IN."

Thump!

The door closed. With him now inside the room.
