Lia heaved a sigh of of accomplishment from what she did just now. She even grinned in victory while checking out one schedule of Jason's on her tablet given by the company for its employees. Working in Twilight has its own privileges too.
She giggled to herself while imagining Jason's dreaded face inside the room. Just for everybody to know, Jason is not the only student inside the training room. Overall, there are four more of them inside, with Jason to be added, there are a total of five students there.
That was all the information she knew of. For there identities she has yet to discover them, as they are obviously not mentioned in the novel. Maybe because they do not have any significant roles in the novel's story, they were not brought up.
Another reason she has yet to meet them, is because they are managed by different managers in the company. Including Annie, there are now five managers. Managing one trainee per manager.
Lia picked up herself and stood up ready to go to her office to let Annie know that she already sent Jason to his first class and work her butt off some more files and tasks to do.
She was humming to herself while walking on the hallway when she bumped into someone familiar.
"Good Morning Ms. Ivy" Lia smiled and greeted as enthusiastically as what she did earlier in the morning.
Right now, she was behaving like a good student trying to impress her teacher, painting a good image. Yeah, so accurate.
"Morning"
Ivy replied in her usual platonic, indifferent voice.
'As expected, Ivy Chen really is the same Ivy described in the novel. Detached, indifferent yet classy type of woman. She was the type of woman, everybody in the novel would always look up to.' Lia nodded as agreement to her expectation of meeting Ivy in actuality, real and alive.
With that thought, Lia was reminded of Ivy's cool moments in novels. She also strayed to certain scenes where men would admire this untouched CEO.
She was about to walk off with her thoughts, when she heard Ivy's voice once again.
"Wait"
She stopped in her tracks and snapped out of her moment of 'reminiscing'.
"Yes?" With that, Lia turned her soles to face Ivy. Her courteous smiling face was immediately put on.
"Why are you here?" Ivy raise her eyebrows before giving her a questioning look. But to Lia, she thinks there was more than that to that look she was giving her.
'Am I in trouble? Somehow?' She also questioned herself inside her mind if she did something wrong. Her brain automatically searched of things she did these past few days and nothing 'bad' came up.
With her smile still there, Lia replied. "I sent Mr. Jason Han to his class just now and heading back to the office to inform Annie."
Lia was almost sure her answer was satisfactory and she can go now. Well that is until Ivy had a frown formed on her sophisticated eyebrows.
'Uh-oh' Lia had a foreboding feeling that she may not quite like what Ivy was about to say to her.
Ivy pivoted her feet so that she was now facing Lia fully.
"You were supposed to join other trainees in the training room right now. Didn't Annie tell you?"
'Damn you, Annie.' Although she was still smiling outside, Lia was 'slightly' cursing Annie inside her mind for forgetting such an important note to her.
'Why does she always forget things?' Lia glanced downwards to hide an irritated flint on her eyes.
'Wait.' Lia's appearance outside faltered a bit before returning to its previous state. She properly processed the information.
'You were supposed to join other trainees in the training room right now...now.....NOW?!' Ivy Chen's voice was still ringing on her head. And to say the least that she was surprised would be an understatement as her heartbeat went really fast from shock.
"Well, looking from your face, Annie did forget." Ivy went off after saying her piece, turning her attention now on her ipod.
Now Lia was alone in the hallway, standing frozen in shock, still.
Well not exactly shock, she was having a moment of mulling and assorting her thoughts off.
"What did she mean by going there too? Is that part of the job of an assistant too? But why? What? Wait, does that mean I'm freaking late??? WHAT?! LATE?!'
After a 'ding' sounded in her brain, she began sprinting back to the 3rd floor. She muttered a series of curses under her breath. She was in a pickle and in so much hurry that she didn't even bother to take the elevator and just began sprinting her ass off down to the staircase.
'Good thing I chose to wear just 2 inches of heels. Or else I'll be damned.' Lia even managed to think about her heels in such a moment. Well, thinking about it, running down the stairs coming from the 6th floor down to the 3rd ..... would be quite funny if she fell down in a hurry, in heels and pencil skirt at that.
"Wait, but why me too though?!" Her 'slightly' raised voice echoed down in the empty staircase.
