Excerpt :-
"Let me shield you from the rain, even if I couldn't, then let me soak in the rain with you",we're the words Brian told Lily on that night while shielding her from the rain.

 'I don't want anything more than that, more than you!' were the words that stuck in his throat but he couldn't voice them out. 

Lily looked up, and said, "You want to save me? From rain?" and laughed sarcastically "People who are already drenched, can't be saved. So don't waste your time".
And she left.

Brian slowly looked at the petite figure walking in the rain and sighed. He left his umbrella on a bench and walked behind her. He was going to stay true to his words, even if he couldn't save her, he'd drench with her.



Synopsis - 

Unlike others, her fight was not with others but with her own.
 Her own family whom she loved and cherished pushed her into the dark abyss with no return. 

Lily Jones, was the epitome of an elegant lady with a pure heart, but something changed her forever. Once a sweet little carring girl was now a stone cold hearted woman with now warmth in her heart. Or is it a facade just to shield herself from the vicious world. 

But even this cold hearted woman had a die hard admirer, Brian Green. The youngest and most respected cardiac surgeon in Country A. 
Will he be able to thaw the cold heart of lily? Or will he be left with a burn for the rest of his life?

Is a love story really possible amongst the two people with opposite personalities, a famous doctor and a fierce businesswoman?
What will the fate bring to the lives of one who doesn't believe in love or affection, who only believes that every thing had a price while the other who is the epitome of happiness, who's life depends on love.
 
Will both of them fall in love? 

Or 

Fate will play a cruel joke on both of them?

No usual plots but a simple story of two people who will go to lengths just to be together.

Her Bane or Destiny ?

While looking at Lily, Brian paused abruptly and this made him collide with the couch and he was about to fall when Noah saved him from falling flat on his face that too infront of the woman he is  interested in, "Don't fall bro! Not yet"!


This earned Noah a glare from brian, but he was  quick enough to mask it.


But this little interaction between two friends didn't go unnoticed by a pair of old eyes. Elder Green was quite amused to see such a reaction from Brian, he undoubtedly was quite playful and such a scene between him and Noah wasn't something new for them. But, him behaving such in the presence of lily was quite shocking, but it also defined one thing, that he doesn't consider lily as an outsider. 


'Well, that's new for someone who runs at the sight of women'. Elder Green had an amused expression on his face.


 Although he always wanted to pair Brian up with Lily, even from the time he first met lily, but looks like now he has to let time take its course, or may be Brian! 


It took a minute for Brian to calm himself down and then he went to Lily, "Miss Jones", while extending his hand in pure professionalism, as if meeting a business client! 


It took Lily by surprise, how could someone change their character 360° in a second but then isn't she the same... So she put on a very professional smile and shook his hand, "Mr. Green". 


"Guys, we aren't here for business deals... Let me make the introductions", Noah chimed in while rolling his eyes. 


"And please for god sake! Drop the last name basis" he said it so dramatically that even Lily couldn't help but smile a little. 


"Brian, here, these are my friends Lily and Amelia, whom I met in college, and who's name you have heard but are meeting for a second time!" 


"Lily, he is Brian, my childhood friend, whom both of you already know through my stories", Brian made a quick introduction and waited for Lily to react.


 But lily was quite hesitant and Amelia sensed it. It wasn't easy for Lily to make friends, only if she was the Lily five years back, the situation would have been different. 


So, Amelia extended her hand first, "Hi Brian! This is Amelia" 


Brian shook her hand and replied with a smile, "Hi Amelia". 


Even though Amelia took the lead, lily couldn't bring herself to do it. It was a mere handshake but she couldn't bring herself to do that. 


While being in a dilemma, she saw a hand extended towards her,  "Hi Lily!" 


When she looked up, she saw Brian's hopeful eyes and she couldn't bring herself to not react and she ended up shaking his hand, which even she found weird. As if she was compelled to do it just by looking at his eyes.


 "Hi Brian! Nice to meet you!, she said with a small smile, without the slight idea of what her smile is doing to the man holding her hand! 


All the other five people in the living room could sense that their was something between these two, which can't be expressed in words. It's just a matter of time. Because all of those could feel Brian's eagerness and Lily's hesitation, which wasn't a usual characteristic of these two people. 


The moment his name left her lips, Brian could feel a tingling sensation. He never knew he is capable to such emotions, but he felt his name felt so good when she takes it. But he was too quick to mask his dreamy eyes and left lily's hand and went to greet Lily's mother. 


"Aunt Flora", Brian greeted her by placing a quick peck on her hand. 


"I hope, I can call you aunt", Brian asked hopefully and Flora laughed and caressed  his cheek while nodding, "Ofcourse son!" 


This cute interaction between both of them brought smiles to everyone in the room and then Elder Green said, "Okay now! I'm starving... Let's go eat!" 


Not yet!
