I holstered my pistol, giving them a friendly smile. "It alright. We're not bad." I told Josh and Raymir to holster their guns to.
"Who are you?" One asked. A woman with pure red hair, probably dyed, and green eyes.
"We're no harm to you. We aren't actually one of them." Raymir said from behind me. He also slowly made his way into the room. They slowly eased down, making it easier to talk to them.
"We're regular survivors working together to take this place down." I said to them. The woman let out a sigh of relief, so I'm guessing she trusted me, but the guy kept giving me dirty looks. "My names Xander, this is Raymir, and outside is Josh. We tracked these guys down after a gang of them killed my cousin a while ago, we've already taken down one of their checkpoints near that little 'city' Logan made." Surprisingly, the woman knew what the city I was talking about was talking about.
"I lived there for a few days. I should have stayed, then I wouldn't be here. I went out north and got captured at the checkpoint I think your talking about." She walked towards me, putting her hand out for me to shake. I took it and shook her hand. "My names Grace. I've been here for a few weeks now."
She pulled her hand back and I saw the guy start walking towards the door way. I put my hand out, expecting a hand shake, but he just passed me and groaned. "My names Darrell. Thats all you need to know." I looked at him and knew I was going to get tired of him quickly.
"Well, if you three truly aren't one of them, I guess it's safe to let you in on the secret?" She said, looking at Darrell. He shook his head no. "Why? The aren't one of the slavers!" We all shushed her, not wanting our cover blown.
"If you must, let them in on it." Darrell sighed and leand up against a nearby crumbled support. Grace smiled, turning back to us. "We're starting some. A rebellion. We've gotten a few other slaves in on it, but only a few of that few have joined. Having people with access to the armory would be very helpful." I nodded, knowing where this was going.
She continued. "Thats where you three come in. Not only can you bring us weapons, but you can rome freely around the work areas, making it easier to spread the word. Slave numbers here definitely out number the slavers, and they have enough arms for us to arm everyone with at least a small arm without the disappearance being noticed." I nodded and looked back at Josh and Raymir, nodded at me when I did.
"We're in." I said to her. She smiled and let out a happy squeal. She gave me a hug, which was a little strange, but I understood it kind of. She was just very happy. She realized what she did and let go of me with an awkward chuckle.
"Sorry..." She said, brushing the hair out of her face. "Its alright." I told her calmly, giving her a friendly smile. She flashed one back and turned around, back to Darrell.
While she was was walking towards Darrell he gave me a dirty look. "You better not mess this up." I was starting to get ticked off by him. "I'll mess you up if you don't show some damn respect." He slimmed his eyes at me and looked away out of the nearby window.
Grace gave him a very angry look and began silently arguing with him. It was starting to get a bit awkward.
"We're gonna go. So Im going to meet the smuggler here?" I asked. Grace nodded and waved goodbye at us. Darrell nodded at us and we walked back up to the tops.
