Chapter 3

The Andrusa Kingdom was located in the far East of lumberry forests. It was dominated by mages and represented itself as a valiant force of justice that abhorred evil.

The current hot topic in the kingdom of Andrusa was the sighting of a walking skeleton within the deep forests of lumberry. It was at first dismissed as a joke, but due to multiple witness accounts, it was starting to get treated seriously.

It all began three years ago when a group of newbie mages that had gone adventuring got themselves lost into the deep forests of lumberry although they had found their way back later, they couldn't erase the horrified look on their faces as they proclaimed to have glimpsed a walking skeleton in the forest.

Few months after that incident, another group of adventurers reported to have seemingly sighted a walking skeleton as well, but they weren't too sure as they were quite a distance away from the 'creature'.

Such sightings accumulated over the years and a total of six sightings of a "walking skeleton" had been reported to the Adventurers Guild in the Andrusa Kingdom. What was initially dismissed as a joke, now had to be considered seriously by the higher-ups of the Adventurers Guild.

There were three forces that dominated within the Andrusa Kingdom: The Royal Palace, The Mage Guild and lastly, The Adventurers Guild.

The lumberry forests were labelled as "medium-difficulty" by the Adventurers Guild, due to the fact that the wild beasts there were relatively weak and occasionally a few strong ones would spawn but they wouldn't make much of a difference overall and hence lumberry forests were also often used to train the young growing talents of the Andrusa Kingdom.

But a seemingly huge variable had been brought into question: the possible presence of an evil creature lurking in deep forests of lumberry. If the problem was not dealt with properly, it could jeopardize the safety of those that entered the forests.

Angmund Roy, A five-tier water mage sat around a round table and glanced at his fellow peers as they pondered over about the evil creature. They were all the hotshots of the Adventurers Guild, their strength and fame was without question.

After a while, Raymond Roy, Angmund's brother and the Vice-President of the Adventurers Guild offered the best solution: "If an evil creature truly exists, then it, of course has to be eradicated. But first we need to track it down. We should send a scout party to keep a lookout for the evil creature, if we find it then we will move to eradicate it."

After the suggestion was agreed upon by majority, the plan was pushed to the next stage: setting up the scout party.

Given that the scout party's purpose was to lookout for the evil creature, they of course had to be excellent individuals with great capabilities.

After a fierce debate, a scout party compromising of five young mages was decided upon. The leader of the party was Anssa Roy, A three-tier water mage and the daughter of the Adventurers Guild President, Angmund Roy.

The next day the scout party left the Andrusa Kingdom and proceeded towards the deeper parts of the lumberry forests to trace and track the evil creature.
