Chapter 4

Anssa Roy and her group of brave mages began their adventure with a heroic purpose of tracking and eradicating the evil creature. Days passed by and their group encountered various wild beasts but let alone finding the evil creature, they couldn't even find a single trace of it. Nevertheless, they didn't give up on their pursuit.

Deep within the lumberry forests, there was a small cave inhabited by a bear-like beast,or rather, it was inhabited by a bear-like beast.

Currently a skeleton could be seen using his sharp bony hands to tear away the fur from the carcass of the bear. Jaime had long gotten used to his life in the lumberry forests, he was like an undisputed king in the forest but as glorious as he might seem, his life was rather dull with no source of entertainment. As such Jaime resorted to hunting powerful beasts for fun and collecting their fur. Among his fur collection the best one that he deemed was that of a white snow wolf, it was beautiful like snow and smooth as silk. He loved wearing that fur around and had at times tried to track down more white snow wolves, but he hadn't even seen another one ever again.

Jaime soon finished tearing away all the fur from the bear carcass and moved towards his abode. This was a secret place that he had found by accident: it was a narrow space on top of a lush green hill and it led to a relatively big chamber. Jaime could not help but get astonished at the wonders of nature when he stumbled upon this abode.

Currently his abode was filled with furs of various types of wild beasts, occasionally the skulls of some very rare wild beasts could also be seen hanging by the walls of the abode. Jaime gave a toothy grin as he proceeded to wash and dry the fur before long placing it among the rest of his collection.

"Time to practice my magic.", Jaime muttered as he walked up towards a poorly made wooden cupboard and pulled out his staff. Initially Jaime was just a commoner with no magic talent within his village, but over the years he noticed that his magic talent had increased steadily as he was beginning to sense the elements around him with ease. This paved a new road of hope for Jaime.

Since many adventurers from Andrusa Kingdom came to the lumberry forests on a daily basis, there were sometimes some that didn't make it back. After finding and pillaging through the carcasses of such people, Jaime obtained various foundational books about magic.

Various elements existed in the world: light, dark, water, fire, earth, wind and wood. These were the common and known elements, but there were also a few lesser known elements like: lightning, space etc.

Over a period of five months, Jaime had just focused on the magic knowledge after which he tried to find out the most suitable element for him, or rather the element he could keenly sense the most: it was not a surprise as it turned out to be the dark element.

Although he found many magic casting books of various elements when he looted the corpses of the dead mage adventurers, he never found any for the dark element. As such Jaime could only fumble his way around dark magic.

"Heed my call and obliterate my enemy: Dark sphere!", Jaime chanted and the dark elements gathered into a sphere and floated in Jaime's hand. The Dark Sphere spell was something Jaime had crafted all on his own, moreover it took him a little over a year to completely perfect it. With a twist of his hand, the floating sphere shot towards a wooden practice dummy inside the cave abode and followed by a huge explosion, the wooden dummy was completely obliterated and it's surroundings charred.

"Not bad.", Jaime marveled at his perfected spell. He had derived this 'Dark Sphere' spell from a magic spell of fire magic called 'Fireball'.
