A New Decision

Teresa leaves the room waving at me before shutting the door. I turn to my side on my comfy white bed, staring out the window watching leaves fall as if it where autumn. I hear the wind blow against the window as I feel myself slowly drifting off to sleep by the soothing sound.

Night steadly over shadows me in my deep slumber; resting my aching pains away. Suddenly, I hear someone groan next to me, I peek across my room laying on my pillow. I can see a shadow standing tall over by the window.

"You're probably tired of me, all I do is make you angry"says a male voice.

"Odin?" I say in a whisper. The shadow turns facing my direction.

"Yes it's me I didn't mean to wake you, I haven't had a chance to see you since your injuries"he said.

"Thats alright, sorry for pushing you" I turn around on my bed facing him.

"There's no need, you saved us that's all that matters". Odin lowers himself to my face then kisses my cheek, before I can say anything he leaves the room. I didn't get to tell him anything but maybe there isn't much to say. I felt at peace with Odin after talking to Teresa and it made me remember the time we had a moment in Eric's humble home, before ever stepping foot into the underground world.

I thought the bitterness I had, left me. It returned knowing Grith was here, which tourtured me. I was affraid the tramua from Grith's schemes brought me to my knees, even today I almost died if it weren't for my power. I fiddled my fingures as I continued to think while looking up at the ceiling. I have made a conclusion, I believe peace has settled upon me now that Grith is dead and Teresa cleared some misunderstandings. I have learned how selfish I can be, my people are more important than my own desires or misleads. The path I choose matters, how can I reunite the torn pasts of my kingdom if I only focus on myself? I drift back to sleep after my thoughts dwindled in my mind.

"Sir, our people are tired, has there been any information on the Queen's condition?"said Erza questioning Mathias.

"I am aware of your worries, but please remain calm. The doctors say she is just resting" Mathias snaps his fingers and Erza's men quickly line up in response.

"Listen all of you, the Queen is resting due to her recent injuries, the enemy has finally been dismantled and we-". The ground starts to shake as the birds fly away. Erza and Mathias stare down from the mountains leading past the path where the battel field began. The tremours increase, the ground ripples open.

"This is bad where gonna die!" said one of Erza's soilders.

"No where not we still have time" says Mathias. The roaring of the ground suddenly settles.

"Mathias, must we call for a drill?" Mathias looks around.

"Not yet, we have to warn the Queen and figure out our next move"he states nodding his head. Erza rounds her men back into their tents for them to rest.

"All of you must rest, we need our strength for whats to come, we may need to evacuate more people out of the city"said Mathias.
