Did you know?

272 AD

It was winter and our small wooden house is fully covered in snow, the fireplace barely gives us enough.

Although it's hard to bear the sensation of the coldness especially outside, yet despite all this, a lone figure of a child climbing a hill could be seen.

"Haaa! haaa!"

"Mom and Dad is really going to kill me this time"

Exhaustingly said Lark as he trudge along the small hill now covered with snow.

"I'm almost there Mr. Oak tree!"

Excitingly said the the 5 year old Lark, as he saw the lone figure of the tree gradually getting closer to him as he trudged down.

"Here Mr. Oak you're not alone anymore hehehe"

"And here's a candle I'll light it up for you, so you won't get cold"

Lark crouched down in the snow, in front of the tree as he put down the candle that was in his winter clothes pocket and lit up his matchstick. spark spark~

"There finally!"

Said Lark as he tried his best to light the match stick, in which actually miraculously lit up despite the snowflakes gradually falling down.

"Here we go!"

Lark covered the matchstick that held the tiny flame with his left hand and proceeded to light the candle.

"BOO!"

"AHHH! NOO!"

As the flame was about to touch the wick of the candle it soon flickered out, because of the sudden shake of Lark's hands who was jumped at.

"DAD!!?"

"Why are you here?"

"Before I tell you that, you forgot your scarf"

It was Lucas who was looking at his son playfully

"What? is it wrong to find my missing son?"

"How did you know I was here then? I thought you were sleeping?"

"The spirits woke and guided me here, hehehe"

"Oooh! spirits?"

The innocent son looked admiringly at his father who was clearly saying nonsense.

"Where? where?"

*cough*

"You'll see them when you close your eyes"

"Lemme try! lemme try!"

Lark childishly said, as he jumped around excitedly then tightly closed his eyes.

"Where are they? I can't see them?"

Lark this time was doubting his father like the time when he kicked Dean's future generations.

"Try and clear your mind, maybe it will work?"

Lucas teasingly smiled at his doubtful son.

"You tricked me again!!"

Lark opened one of his eyes and saw that his father was making another mocking smile that can always be seen when his son was tricked, because of this, Lark angrily yelled at his father in embarassment.

"What are you saying?"

After saying this Lucas suddenly became serious.

Lark felt his sorroundings increasingly colder, he felt all his hairs on his body was standing on edge, as he stared at his father who was rarely serious like this.

"Don't you know most of the beautiful things in the world, can't be seen, but felt in your heart?"

"For example when you're praying or kissing someone you always close your eyes, right?"

Hearing his father's serious tone, Lark calmed down and listened to his father's advice, although he doesn't know if it's just nonsense, Lark always felt that his father was right.

"Now close your eyes and feel the wonderful things this world can offer you"

Lark closed his eyes but was soon hit by a snowball made by his father.

"Now you've done it old man!!!"

The pair kept playing and decided to go home in sundown. That night the son and father recieved a 2 hour long sermon from their lady of the house.
