As Mei stared right into his eyes, he held his breath. Silence engulfed the room for a moment.

"Let me go. I don't want to see you even for a moment." said Mei.

"I will give you sometime to recover. Lets continue when you have calmed down."

Su Lin turned around to leave only to hear a loud 'THUD'. He turned around to find Mei lying down as the floor started to slowly dye red.

"Bring me a doctor right now. Hurry up. What are you waiting for?"

He rushed towards her, only to find her loosing her conscience. He picked her up and laid her on the bed. He took his shirt off and pressed it down on the wound to stop the flowing blood.

Mei had slowly tried to get up supporting the wall only to loose her hold and fall down. She hit her head at the edge of the nightstand near the bed as she came down.

As the blood poured out profusely, she could hear Su Lin shouting to bring in a doctor. As she could feel a stinging pain from her head she thought, ' Ah, I should figure a way to leave. This is annoying.' She could slowly feel her conscience fading away.

He rewound the videos to catch a glimpse of her face. Wang Lei stood right behind him like a shadow.

"Her movements are simple, but they are quite effective"

Hui had collected all the possible clips available to find who helped Liling.

"Consciously or unconsciously, she is pretty good at evading the CCTV's."

He watched it again and again to get a lead only to end empty handed.

"I feel like nothing is going the way I want it to. Anyways any leads about the last incident in the alley? "

"We are still working on it."

"I will look forward to it. I am heading back. Keep me updated."

He went to the parking lot and turned on the engine. He slowly stepped on the accelerator and drove away.

As she slowly opened her eyes, she could see a disheveled head beside her. She looked around her, 'That might have been a quite a shock for him'.

The pain from earlier slowly creeped into her senses. She held her head feeling the pain.

She pulled out the drip needle. Her actions woke Su Lin up. She got up from the bed and walked near to the window. She looked at the premises around her. The outside till the end of the horizon seems to be bare land and nothing else.

'An escape could mean a long run without knowing the end. But I would rather take the risk than be confined here.'

"The doctor said that you will need a lot of rest. It seems like you lost a lot of blood due to the fall. It could tire you out really fast. Why don't you lay down and rest?" Su Lin tried to convince her with his words.

"I will keep that in mind. But I would love if you could just leave me alone. I get a bad mood just by looking at you." replied Mei.

He decided to step out and leave her alone, "I will have someone to check you up. Make sure that you take the medicines."

'It's better that I start to move right away. I should keep track of my stamina or else I will exhaust all my energy.'

She decided to take action as discreetly as possible. She ripped of the bedsheets and wrapped them around her hand. She broke the vase and collected the big shards and sharpened the edges. She pulled out the plastic tube from the drip bottle and coiled it up. She took the drip needle and hid it between her hand wraps.

She made a belt out of the left out sheets to hold her tools. She then took the IV stand and took off the top and bottom to separate the staff. She tied her hair up with a piece of cloth and sketched out her future movements.

She packed the medicine and some cloth pieces before making the move and repeated in her head, 'Minimal effort and maximum result. Keep it short but powerful. Make anything and everything your weapon.'

She then patiently waited for someone to open it.

When she heard foot steps she slowly hid behind the door, 'Lets fight all the way down.'
