The Farmer God

Blood flooded the mouth and poured down the throat as my punches landed on the gigantic tongue. Slowly the tongue started to go limp and I relaxed a bit, but as if to keep me in check another spear had been thrown. The spear pierced the top of the giant lizard's head and made an exit wound so big I fell through it. Remembering the disadvantages of being airborne, I let my instincts take over me.

My body took the form of a skydiver and sped rapidly towards the spear that was going to impale the ground. I thought my body would use it to defend myself while I was airborne, but when my body had gotten a hold of it, the spear was immediately thrown with all my might at a location that I immediately started focusing on. However, my efforts were for naught as I saw nothing in the direction where the spear had been thrown.

The sounds of wind brushing past my ears was constant while I had been falling down, but one thing out of the ordinary had entered my ears. It was the sound of flesh being pierced, I had kept my eyes on where the spear had been shot, but I couldn't see anything in the way of the spear. When I landed down I took a defensive stance expecting the giant lizards to barrage me, but to my surprise the giant lizards were all dead and lying on the grassy floor of the forest. What was more bizarre was how the corpses had already rotted.

Not wanting to be distracted and unguarded against the mysterious spear thrower, I paid these things no mind. I returned my gaze on where my body had thrown the spear, my eyes widened as I saw blood materializing on the spear shaft. It was different from the giant lizard blood that was already on it, the new blood was mostly transparent and had a foggy white color.

I headed towards the spear I had thrown, but my body had another plan as it sent me a ton of weird feelings that told me to punch behind me. I immediately obeyed as I sent the hardest punch I could muster,

"You kno..."

A voice I hadn't heard before sounded, but unluckily for him he had been punched before he could say anything. I couldn't see what I had punched, but I could see on the floor that two lines had dug into the ground. I knew that they were from the thing that I had just punched, and made from holding himself down to the ground to fight back the force from my punch.

The two lines stopped extending and a loud boom came from a tree as it had a crater struck into it by my punched victim. In the middle of the crater a humanoid lizard or reptilian started to appear. I jumped in front of the crater, grabbed the lizard by the neck, and threw him onto the ground. I put him into a headlock and started to ask him a question,

"Are you the spear thrower?"

"Y-yess"

*Crackk*

His head was turned 360 degrees, and his tail twitched for a moment before stopping slowly.

After the lizard had died, a voice resounded from the darkness.

"What if he was innocent?"

"Why would an innocent person sneak up behind me?"

"Hmph!"

The voice had come from another humanoid lizard that accompanied the lizard that had just been killed. He pounced at our mc, Loki, who himself did not even know his own name yet.

The dead lizard, who had been twitching just a few seconds ago, started to release a giant mist of colors that rushed out of him. Shocked by this unknown event taking place in front of him, Loki quickly retreated back away from it as fast as he could. His movements were greatly enhanced due to his power [Liar].

(Due to fighting with only his fists at the start, the lizards had believed that Loki had only trained with his fists, but that belief was quickly pushed aside when Loki grabbed the spear that had been thrown at him and took a stance with the spear that suggested he was accustomed to using spears. This in turn scared them into thinking that the already incredibly strong Loki was hiding his true strength, which in a way he was. This allowed for Loki to feed off their beliefs and strengthen himself).

As Loki retreated, the lizard who had pounced at him landed and created a crater, where Loki was standing previously before retreating. The dead lizard's corps was destroyed along with the ground. Enraged further more by being "tricked" by Loki into destroying the body of his old companion, the lizard charged at Loki with all his might.

Although the lizard had been invisible he had lost himself to his rage and completely discarded his one advantage he held over Loki,- his invisibility and stealth.- Even if he hadn't rushed at Loki, the lizard had been completely revealed by the colorful mist that revealed the silhouette of a humanoid lizard.

Seeing the lizard charging at him, Loki was not the least bit concerned. What really bothered Loki was the mysterious colorful mist, he wondered if it was a last stitch effort to harm him.

Loki quickly sprinted away from the quickly approaching lizard and giant colorful mist. With every step Loki took a chunk of the ground and dust flew behind him. He sprinted towards the bloodied spear he had thrown, as soon as he reached it he pulled it out with all his might and fired it at the lizard. The spear perfectly pierced the head of the enraged lizard, and the lizard fell face first and his legs and tail bent in a way that made him resemble a scorpion.

Loki did not relax a bit since his original source of worry was from the colorful mist. His eyes widened as another colorful mist had rushed out from the recently dead lizard. It caught up to the already giant mist that was chasing after Loki, and became one with it. This caused the mist to expand in size, but its size did not slow it down at all, the opposite really, as it sped up a little bit in its chase.

Seeing what had just happened, Loki's eyes widened as he sprinted away from the giant mist chasing him.

Although the giant mist was colorful and alluring to the eyes, it did not give off any light. That didn't mean there weren't creatures lured by the mist though. As the distance that Loki ran increased, so did the amount of creatures that caught eye of the mist and then Loki.

After 7 hours filled with nothing but running and killing, the sight of a blood soaked Loki could be seen. He had a gigantic fang that he held onto in both hands and scratch marks all over his body and armor. His sprint soon became a jog, which then became a walk. He turned around to see that the colorful mist had grown so big that it started resembling one of the suns in the sky. He laughed to himself and face palmed.

The moment Loki had stopped sprinting, the giant colorful mist caught up to him and it was sucked into his body in the blink of an eye. Although it was quiet for a moment, the silence didn't last long as Loki started moaning and grunting in pain. His body was enveloped in a colorful aura, and in pain Loki started to roll around on the floor while crying out in pain.

****

The colorful mist had been soul force sucked out from the creatures that Loki had killed. He hadn't seen any of the soul force from the dead creatures previously because he hadn't killed them, and it was the lizard spear throwers that did most of the killing unintentionally. Since only the killers of the victim could see the soul force that came from their prey. This meant that the poor giant tiger that had its face turned to moosh was still alive and in pain.

Soul force could be used for a multitude of things: strengthening physical strength, strengthening ones own soul force, and or using ones own soul force to contain it in a way to resell it to buyers. This however was very wasteful since over time soul force would decay and return to the world, if it wasn't used in a day or two, depending on the grade of the soul force. The greater the soul force was, the harder it was to contain it.

Loki had forgotten this, not because he was dumb, but because someone had messed up his memories as they looked through it.

"I told you, that you should've helped me! My control isn't as good as you think it is."

*sigh* "It's fine, at least he got some good cardio workout, or something like that."

"I feel bad for wasting his time though."

"You're going to feel bad for a lot of things as time goes on, this is just the beginning. Especially since the branches on the world plants are growing. You're not that new to this, you know what's going to happen."

"I still feel bad though, they're all innocent people, they don't deserve what's going to happen."

*sigh* "How about this, I believe in your abilities Loki. Does that cheer you up?"

"Yes! Thank you so much master!"

"Good, just go back to your work."

"Okay!"

The person that had looked into Loki's memories was a green slime, who was desperately looking through Loki's world to see if there was anyone that could save his world from their impending doom. She had been searching everywhere, when she found Loki and his unique power.

With her size alone she could trample over the doom that approached Loki's world, but she was strictly forbidden to do that by the Farmer God.

She wanted to see what kind of character Loki had, by looking through his memories, but her insufficient skill in control had left Loki with faulty memory for a while. This was the best outcome for Loki however, since if even a little bit of her true abilities leaked out into Loki's world his world would have been destroyed. This was why the green slime had mostly been scanning through Loki's world and didn't do anything to it directly.

What stressed her out the most was her inability to help Loki, since Loki needed people to believe in him for [Liar] to help him, and she had little to no hope in the chances that Loki had standing against the great threat that was slowly approaching him. Which was why it made her very happy to hear that her master, The Farmer God, had believed in Loki's abilities.

After hearing her master's words she returned to watering the world plants, which were plants that held worlds in them,- as the name implies.-

She watered Loki's world with plenty of water, and also the world of Kai; which had a branch extending out and almost touching one of the branches of the world that Loki lived in. She believed that once Kai's world had touched leaves with Loki's, that both their worlds could unite to fight against the doom that approached all the world plants in the current field she was watering in.

When it came time to water the world plant that threatened all the other world plants, she tried to water it as little as possible. This was immediately noticed by the Farmer God, who had been collecting what looked like strawberries from another world plant.

"Glimmer, you know you can't have bias!"

Hearing those words, the green slime who was now known to be Glimmer, started to give the world plant the same amount she had given the others.
