When we arrived home, the old man was waiting for us. We bowed for respect then he called the maids to tend to our belongings. He gestured to the terrace and we followed. We settled in the big circular table as the old man started to speak.
"So, are you really sure about this" he asked.
"Well, its dangerous but it has to be done." Dean replied.
"It will have costs and I dont think its worth it" Brandon.
"Then why push the plan?" Mr. Dela Vega
"We have to, Old Man. It will complete us." Golden. "Besides, if anything bad happens we know that we will always come back to you remember that". she added
The old man nodded and looked at me, waiting to hear from me.
I let out a deep sigh and threw my hands in the air.
"Its actually pathetic. I mean you've been our dad for so many years, Old Man. Heck we dont even call you dad because you wont let us! Because you believed that one day we'll meet our parents and fill the gaps in our lives. Now, we believe in what you believe and I respect you thats why I agreed about having an investigation even if I think that meeting our parents is not necessary because we're doing fine without them " I paused. "And now that your little investigation has been fruitfull, thanks to your incredible connections, were now going to London to find and see who our parents are"
"Yay" Nessa said shrugging.
"And can you not like ask us if were sure or not? You're the one who wanted us to do this." Golden rolled her eyes.
Dela Vega chuckled. "Believe me children, you will thank me for this. In fact, you should be thankful that they are alive, all your parents are. Unlike my wife. I'll never meet her again in this life" he said smiling at us sadly.
"Here comes drama" Dean muttered. "Ow!" he howled as a heel dug on his shoe. Golden glared at him.
"I dont think we would thank you for this, Old Man. Were just doing this because you want us to." I added
"Yeah, even if you make it look like were the ones who do" Nessa said sarcastically.
"Are we finished here? I feel bored already" Brandon yawned.
"Also, we've already given you the answer that you want. This will complete ourselves. So like can we go now?" Golden repeated to the old man.
"Okay then. I was just making sure that your decision is final. I'll make sure everything is going to be fine in here. Now, we had a promise. We'll keep each other updated about everything. Things has been settled for you. Your decoy flight is ready."
"Were gonna miss you. Take care of yourself old man. Well be home soon." I said as I kissed him on the cheek.
The others bowed down for respect then we headed to the airport.
The cars were waiting outside. Ten cars. Each one containing the things the we will be needing .
We rode on our own cars as the assassins drove to the airport before us. When my siblings drove away, I stepped out from the car and went to the old man watching by the door of the mansion.
"Sir, I don't know about your plans, but you know as well as I that we don't want to do this. What do you want us to do when we meet them? Beg them to be the parents that we didn't want? Were doing fine with you as our guardian. But why still do this? Its a waste of time, really." I explained.
"Alex," he smiled caressing my cheek. "You and the siblings are the best things that happened to me after my wife died. I love you all with all my heart. I'm getting old you know, I can't die without seeing you guys completely happy. You guys have to at least meet your parents so your souls would be completed."
"Woah, woah! Okay old man, I get your point. I'm not going to argue with you this time. Besides, I don't want to talk about souls. Come on, they'll be wondering why I'm too far behind. Give me a hug."
I tiptoed as I received the hug and went to my car. I drove away from the mansion without looking back.
"Tsk. The old man is dying..." I murmured.
*
When I arrived at the airport, the cara were being hauled into the plane. Were going to include our cars because there are built in systems to our cars that will help us with our little escapade.
"Master Alexandra, the others are already inside waiting for you," Jarvis, the Hood's personal butler told me as I handed him my car keys.
"Thanks, Jarvis. Is everything okay according to our plans?" I asked.
"Yes master. So far so good."
"Okay. I'll go in now"
As I entered the plane, the siblings has already settled down on their respective seats with their gadgets. An attendant gave me my earpiece and eyeglasses. I murmured my thanks and went to my seat. I opened my laptop and signed in to the Hoods website.
The others were already busy on their own world. Hmmm let me see. We have 50 assassins with us on the plain. Fifty five including the Hood. Ten snipers. Five samurais and the others are nonsense decoys. Flight 565 is a decoy flight after all. No other people is in the plane but the Hood and staff. This is the first time that we did this. When we arrive at London, we will become students in a prestigious academy known worldwide, doing their final internship at the said academy. We will become new members or exchange students in the university and were going to stay for a month.
The catch is, well pretend that we don't know each other and that we haven't even met each other before. We'll be total strangers to each other. We'll go our separate ways at the airport and live our separate ways. The people on the plane was actually our staff that will assist us in times of need only but will not help us unless we become injured or lost control of ourselves. These people will also act that they don't know us and they will observe us so they could report our movements to the old man at home. Looks like a movie setup to me.
The five of us were given gadgets from the company that has special functions so that communicating between us will be easier. The phone, the watch, the earring, the ring, the necklace, and the earpiece has its own special function. Its has our own insignia to avoid confusions and for quicker recognitions from our observers. Only the assassins will be the one to answer us in case we needed help physically. The 50 assassins were divided among us. They also wear an insignia so we could recognize them easily.
Quite exciting eh? Its not the first time that we'll go undercover but its the first time in London. We don't know the place. We don't visit here because we knew that our roots are from here. We've only seen the Eiffel Tower through photographs. We've separated ourselves from the country to avoid things that bothers us and news from our parents bother us. The problem is, majority of our investors are English and Frenchmen. We have to be careful so they won't recognize us. The good thing is that they don't know that we'll be coming to London. They've only seen us a couple of times anyway.
I closed my laptop and settled on my seat. This 15 hour flight will wear me down so I'll have to rest. London Heathrow Airport is still a long way to go....
