FOURTH CHAP!

I composed myself and picked up my bag again. I went to my first class and saw the devils seating next to each other with an empty chair at the center, a reservation for my seat. The pattern had always been this way. Brandon next to Golden. Nessa next to Dean while the center seat was reserved for me. The rows of chairs in the room was five chairs so that's what we exactly wanted. I sat on my seat suspiciously after eyeing the four fiends coldly. It was also notably quiet in the room, the students throwing glances to the five of us either talking in French or in English. I almost regretted not learning French but I'm used to other people adjusting for me so I didn't bother.

We just stared straight not caring about any of them. We must have looked like a couple of weirdos. Golden played with her hair, Brandon closed his eyes as he listened to his headphone. Nessa was drawing on her notes again and Dean just looked bored like me. A few minutes later Elijah came into the room. Together with the professor. Smooth. I tapped my desk indicating that the prof was there. Brandon instinctively removed the headphone and we focused toward the front.

Elijah smiled at me warmly that I blacked out. He. Smiled. At. Me. Warmly. What should I do in this kind of situations? When random guys do that to me in the Philippines I stare them down. And they shiver under my cold stare. He must have smiled that long that he awkwardly looked away and went to find his seat. Nessa nudged my right shoulder with her elbow raising her brow. That meant "What was that about?"

I shrugged. I could feel the others looking at me too. Sensation much eh? I've been used to my unemotional facial expression and others misunderstands it as an attitude. My four siblings share the same facial expressions too that's why we were called as "The Cold Ones" when we were in high school. No one dared to talk to is unless we talked to them first. We were to be left alone wherever we went. Even the teachers and school staffs didn't dare too. The Old Man being the owner of the school, school staff were commanded not to interfere our daily routine at school. When we went to college, we had to focus on a lot of things and attending a university became too much of a burden to our schedules that why we requested the Old Man that we apply our courses online and he didn't argue about our decisions.

Dean whispered something and I read his lips very clearly. "He's behind you," he said. My back chilled as I turned around and confirmed that he really was behind me. He instantly saw my move and winked at me. Again. I turned to face the front quickly sweat trickling down my back. I could see the smirks on the sibling's faces.

I'll bet they're going to make fun of me. But still I can't be sure that he smiled at me right? Its just a smile. There are a lot of people in this room and I could be an assumer to say the least. This was the first time that a guy dared to make a move at me. I tapped at my phone secretly to one of my assassins and I told them to run a background check on Elijah... Geez, I don't even know his surname.

After a while, the professor sat down on his desk and faced the students to start his discussion. I held my pen to take down notes as he cleared his throat.

"Good morning," he greeted briefly and the students greeted him back. I felt a nudge again as Golden gestured towards the prof.

Did she just expect me to greet back? Gosh, I've been out of school for so long that I forgot how to he a student. I'm used to be the one to be greeted by my staff back at the Philippines.

"So we have five new exchange students this year," the prof gestured towards us. "Let them introduce themselves." He smiled at us and nodded. Brandon stood up first, his cold expression lightened as he smiled.

"Hi, I'm Brandon Van Derby. Nice to see you all." he sat down again stiffly. I heard a few girls giggle.

"And I'm his twin, Van Nessa Derby. You can call me Nessa." She smiled sweetly and even looked at some guys who stuck their eyes at her.

My turn came and I got nervous that I stood up too quickly my vision blurred. I clutched one side of my desk as I catches my breath. Golden grabbed my wrist to support me but I quickly lifted my arm to 'fix my hair' and her hand stopped mid air.

"I'm Amorah Alexandra Hildegarde. I look forward to be your friend." I smiled and revealed two dimples. The other students smiled too, looking at me in awe. See, I have that effect to people that's why I became a cold one. Whenever the five of us smiles or reveals our true emotions, people around us just smothers like idiots. We then decided to pretend that we really are cold hearted. We don't want to take advantage of our capabilities and step down on others. We could get what we want in just one look in the eye, with just one word, specially with just an expression. That's also the reason why the company soared through the years. We would lure investors and get contracts that we wanted without breaking a sweat.

But that is not the problem. We could lure people towards us, even the people that we don't want. People who are blood thirsty of power and wealth would kill just to have us. Old man decided to have watchers and assassins surround us so we could be safe and not to repeat previous accidents.

I erased the smile on my face as I looked down and sat on my chair. Golden was next.

"Golden Skye Summers here," She smiled and waved. The boys murmured, some even whistled. Geez these guys are very appreciative of girls. I snorted in my mind.

"And I'm Dominic Dean Goddard." The girls in front of him blushed as he revealed his perfect white teeth. Unbelievable. What if we didn't have good looks, I wonder if they'll even throw us a glance.

"Thank you, students. Now let us hear from your new classmate, he just shifted from his course and now hell be with our class...."

I heard the chair behind me gave a slight creak as Elijah spoke.

"Good day everyone! My name is Elijah Jaden Edwards. I'll be your new mate!" he said quite enthusiastically.

The day went by on a blur as we attended our classes. Thankfully two classes skipped introductions and by the time I arrived to my room to rest, I felt genuinely tired. I've made too much smiles for one day and I'm not just used to it. I dived for the bed and slept instantly.
