Had you ever been punished for something that you'd asked to do?
What would you do if you have second chance?
Where would you go if you finally could make your own decision?
Home? Maybe not.
That was what Kariel did. She refused to come back home. Heaven isn't home anymore for her.
Kariel, a name that rarely heard before, even among angels.
Other angels, even Archangels thought that she was just a myth, because they never saw her. She never left her throne.
They thought being Seraphim was good, but she didn't feel that way.
They thought that sitting behind God, had their own thrones, had six wings, and being God's consultant were good. Well, that wasn't that good for her.
When her Father, God asked all angels to protect, help, and love humans, she thought that she could do the same but, no. God asked Seraphim to be neutral.
She couldn't.
Since the day God created humans, she fell in love with them.
When humanity started to fall, God was mad at them. He started to punished them. He sent them flood, war, conflict, disaster, and else.
She kept telling Him to stop, she kept telling Him that there was other way to bring humanity back to the right path.
Then one day, God himself throwed her out of heaven and she went straight to hell.
The question was, why?
She had no idea about that.

- January 6, 2019 -
She was sitting at the front seat at the empty church, staring blankly at the big cross hanging on the wall in front of her, waiting for answers.
Hundreds years feels like forever for her.
She started to remember all things that happened in her life.
When He sent her to hell, she thought that she might be torture there, but no. Lucifer didn't let that happen. She doesn't have to taste the eternal fire or being cut into pieces, or anything that can hurt celestial being creature.
He asked her to sit and watch all the human souls that came to hell got tortured. That was her real punishment.
She prayed and cried every day to her Father to stop that, hoping that He would help her, but she got no answers.
Until one day, Gabriel, the Archangel visited her and told her that she could return to Heaven in one condition, but instead of asking about how to go back to heaven, she said 'Screw you, kiddo.'
She made her way out of hell after hundreds years. Alone.
One day, God came to her, He said that humanity couldn't be saved. He said that Humanity was His biggest failure.
She told Him that she still had faith on humanity. She said that she'll proof Him wrong, that Humans deserves chances.
"Kariel..."
She rolled her eyes when she heard someone behind her called her name.
"Wow... You do have a lot of spare time, don't you?" She said sarcastically.
"you've visited me a lot these days."
She doesn't need to turn her head just to see who it is. She knew him.
"I want you to listen to me, Kar-"
"Why? Why should I? Because you're His favorite? Or because you're the Great Michael?" She asked.
Yes... it was Michael, the Archangel Michael.
"I'm your brother" he answered.
She stood up slowly, then she turned to face Michael. He had a well built body, blue eyes, and his suit were really did great job on his body. Their eyes met.
She hissed at him "brother huh? We don't really know each other that well. You didn't even know that I was exist before you met me, right?"
Michael was just stood there without saying anything. Facing one of the highest angels will never be easy.
He took a deep breath, "listen, I came here to talked.. "
"There is nothing to discuss!" She said as four black wings showed up behind her.
He saw anger and pain in her eyes.
Michael startled " wh- what happen to your wings? It should be... Six." He walked toward her. He reached out to touch her wings but she stopped him.
"You better leave" she said coldly.
"Kariel.." He whispered. "I need you to lis—"
"No, I'm not gonna buy any crap that you're about to give, and if you really have a lot of time to waste, why don't you ask your Father about where did I do wrong."
"He is our Father!"
"Yours.. Not mine.. Not anymore!" She said, "Since the day he ditched me away, I was suffering in hell, I lost a couple wings too! What kind of father that would do something like that?!"
Michael was mad because she didn't respect their Father anymore. He turned his back and was ready to leave.
"Oh, Michael... before you leave, I wanna know about what are you guys doing up there? People are suffering here, you know" she stopped him.
"they're praying to you, to your Father that they called God, to anyone up there who might be listening, but since nothing change in their life, I can assume myself that maybe you guys are too busy playing basketball or other things"
"Seems like you start to forget about your real mission." She said.
"Everything has it's time" he replied.
"Oh.. Really? I would tell that to the homeless guy that just died a few days ago because he was poor, sick, had no family and had nothing to eat" she said "he used to came here, he prayed, he was asking for help and forgiveness everyday"
Michael stood still without saying anything. For hundreds years, he thought that she might change, but she didn't.
"And guess what, I heard something from my guy in hell this morning that he saw that poor guy there. Well, I'm not surprised, this not the first ti-"
"why do you care?"
"what do you mean with that? Of course I care! I can hear their voices in my head just like you!" she walked toward him "you know what, if I can help them, I will.. But what can I do"
"then don't do anything! you just make it worse!" he growled.
"THEN YOU DO SOMETHING! HELP THEM!! THAT'S YOUR JO–"
Michael left before she finished talking.

"Leah, you free this Sunday?" asked a man named Jason that came out of nowhere.
"gimme a second, Jessie–" she typed a few words on her computer.
"it's Jason" he said. He stared at her even her eyes were locked to her computer screen.
His name is Jason McKingley, an IT guy in MorriSun Company.
"I know.. I Know.." she rolled her eyes then looked at him. "look, Jason.. I'm a bit busy right now"
Jason he crossed his arms on his chest "Sunday, Leah.. There is still 3 more days to go" he explained.
She shook her head in disbelief. This guy had tried this since 2 months ago, and now she starting to run out of reasons.
She looked at him then sighed.
"alright, I have 4 hours in Sunday morning, how about that?"
"morning? No dinner?" he frowned.
"how about breakfast? Take it or leave it" she said coldly.
"alright, Sunday then.. I'll meet you at 9, how about that?" he smiled.
"perfect. " she nodded then flashed a fake smile to him.
"I like women who play hard to get" he said as he left her room.
She shook her head then looked at him from the corner of her eyes as he left. To be honest, there was nothing wrong with Jason, he was nice and attractive. It was just her, she didn't want to be too attached to someone, because in the end, she had no choice, she had to leave.
She is Kariel, or maybe Leah for some people now.
