"What are you looking for here?"
"I don't know, maybe normal life?" She shrugged.
Gabriel shook his head "you're being ridiculous again."
"What do you mean?"
"There is nothing normal about you, and spending your time with humans won't make you any normal!" He replied.
"I'm not spending time with them, I'm protecting them."
Gabriel furrowed his brows, he sat in front of her "but, why? You think these people need protection? They don't need that!"
"You stopped the apocalypse whenever Raphael blew his horn! That was useless!! These people will never change, they gonna keep killing each other, or stealing from each other, cheating, and else!" Gabriel said.
"They will keep doing sins! You wasted your time, Kariel." Gabriel continued.
She sighed. "I know... Believe me, I know." She murmured "but, someone have to save them, and if you and the others won't, then I will."
"You can do this forever, until you sick of it, then you'll be the one who start the apocalypse."
She frowned, "what are you talking about?"
"I'm gonna make it simple for you," He said as his face turned serious, "a Seraph on earth, you... are the great Kariel, and you walking on earth now"
"I don't get it, so?"
"Your power is massively dangerous." He motioned his hand at her "you could probably destroy this earth— no, this universe in a second."
"Oh..." She stared at him "I never know about that"
"When you release your power, that's gonna be genoside! Everybody will probably gonna die in your hand"
"I have no reason to use my power or anything, so that's not gonna happen."
"You'll have one someday... Dad planned this, it's just about time" Gabriel said before he disapeared.

"Tell me everything that you know about Seraphim, Z"
"First of all, stop calling me Z, it's Zarakiel." Said the man who sat in front of her, "well, the rumour said that Seraphim have their own thrones, and you guys just have to sit with God."
She shrugged "That's kinda true, not a rumour..."
"Then what about my power—I mean, Seraphim power?" she looked at him curiously.
"Uh... Other rumour said that Seraphim was the last angels that He created, the last but special"
"How many rumour that you've heard?" Kariel asked.
"Tons of it" Zarakiel answered, "God gave Seraphim more wings, power, brain, and... soul, not like other angels"
"Soul?"
"Yup..." He nodded "so I can get it if you have feelings or emotion, you have soul, like human"
"But, why?" She asked.
Zarakiel shrugged "No one know, but I guess He planned this"
She told Zarakiel about what Gabriel said earlier.
"Look, every good movies have their own villain, and I think He created you as a villain, you looked like the protagonist while in the end you're the one who gonna end everything"
"Make sense." She nodded a little.
"Dad sense of humor kinda funny sometimes, you need to get used to it"
"You think that was funny? I still don't get it why He kicked me, and I know what you did back there in Heaven, I don't think you deserves to be punished too."
Zarakiel sipped his coffee while staring at her.
Zarakiel, the former angel of death. He used to reap people souls, but sometimes, he gave too many mercy.
He was betrayed by the other angel who wanted his position as the Angel of Death, Azarael told God that Zarakiel disobeyed too many orders.
Zarakiel ended up with being thrown away to earth and Azarael got his position.
He was an angel without wings, and human without soul, he had nothing except his pretty face.
"It's not fair, right?" Kariel leaned back to her seat, her arms was on her chest.
"What?"
"You didn't do anything wrong, and I was just following the order, but He kicked us both!" She said. She was about to hit the table but, Zarakiel stopped her.
"we're not His favorite, but at least He shouldn't treat us like this!"
"You right, we don't deserves this but, what can we do?" That was a rhetorical question. They both knew exactly the answer.
Zarakiel rubbed his own arms. His sleeveless shirt exposed all the tattoos in his arms. He looked more like a thug than an angel.
"There is nothing we can do, Kariel" he said "if we were at war, we lost already, they won"
She looked away from him. She dissapointed.
"Let's stop thinking about ourself, let's focus on human" He tried to comforted her. "Let's do our job like when we were still in heaven, the difference is just we do it on earth"
She looked at him then frowned "our job, huh? Isn't yours is to reap humans souls?"
"Oh... Yeah" he chuckled "well, how about we do yours? Together." He smiled.
"You mean protecting human?"
"Exact—"
"Leah?"
"Jason?" She looked at the guy who stood beside their table "what are you doing here?"
He looked at Zarakiel for a second then back to her "what about 'I have 4 hours in Sunday morning', is that rings a bell?"
"Oh my, I'm sorry, I forgot..." She stood to face him with a sorry looks on her face. She made that up, she didn't feel bad at all.
"Nah— don't worry, you never want it by the way" he shrugged.
"It's not like that, my brother just came to town this morning" she said as she pointed at Zarakiel "by the way, it's my brother, Zayn"
Zayn, that was Zarakiel other name.
Zarakiel stood up then offered his hand. Jason took his hand then shook it.
"Brother?"
She nooded "why? He looked like asian and I'm not? Don't judge, dude"
"We're adopted" Zarakiel finally helped her "well, seems like I'm ruining your date, so I'm gonna go now"
Jason furrowed his brows, "Did we ever meet? I think I ever saw your face before"
"No. I don't think so." Zarakiel said as he stood up and was ready to leave,
Jason motioned his hands to stop him quickly, "we can have breakfast together, please..."
"Well, alright then..." Zarakiel sat back on his chair and put a suspicious expression on his face.
She glared at him.
"What?" Zarakiel shrugged his shoulder then smirked "he want me to stay, sis..."
They ended up talked about some random things. Kariel and Zarakiel made up a lot of stories, and Jason talked about his life and his little brother, Matt. Their parents died in a car accident when Jason was still in a college. He took care of his brother alone ever since.
She didn't know why, she felt comfortable with Jason, or maybe she just feel bad for what happened to him, but still, she didn't want too attached to someone.
