Did You Come Here To Gloat?

It had been touch and go between the two of them for a while. Romeo put Adrian in therapy thinking it would help but talking about what happened was impossible. He would get locked up too if he said anything about Rosa reading his mind, causing mental pain, or plaguing him with hallucinations.

Lying his way through a few months of therapy sessions had been rather difficult but at the end of it his father was relieved enough to largely leave him to his own devices. That had been nice.

"Look, it isn't like that," Adrian insisted. "I'm curious about her but I would never date a tele—I mean someone like Rosa. I'm an adult and I'm going to go see her whether you want me to or not. I can find out what I need to know another way if necessary but thought it would be easier if you told me."

Romeo sighed heavily. "I know I can't stop you but I don't want to see you hurt again."
