38 | The Visit
Y/N's POV
Taehyung and I stayed at his home in Daegu for a week, perhaps more, I lost count. When we headed back to Seoul, we took Yeontan with us, I felt horrible because Jeonggyu and Eonjin were puppy-eyeing me to let them play with Yeontan for one last time before we take him with us to Seoul
During our whole stay in Daegu, the Kim family had a reunion while Taehyung's parents would introduce me to their relatives, I felt at home because everyone was so welcoming, most of Taehyung's cousins were girls. A lot would also comfort me especially when they knew about Juhyeon's deeds
Mrs Kim would also embarass Taehyung in front of me several times by showing me his baby pictures and telling stories from when he was just a kid, which I found super adorable. We had a few movie nights and I had to babysit Jeonggyu and Eonjin a few times
Unfortunately, time was not on our side and our one week stay had come into an end, as of now, Taehyung and I are on a plane, Yeontan is in the cabin, I hope he's not that lonely there
I fell asleep on the airplane because of the calm music, Taehyung woke me up by the time we landed. By the time Taehyung and I were at the lobby of Incheon International Airport, we spotted eleven kids (yes, the six weirdos, including my brother, looks like children in men's clothing) waving at the both of us
Hoseok started running and hugged us very tightly "Miss us already hyung?" Taehyung chuckled
"Hey! one week without responsible people is torture!" Hoseok complained
"Don't overreact, the house is just in bad shape" Yoongi scolded
Wait, was I hearing things correctly? I looked over at Jimin who just gave me a why-you-looking-at-me-it's-their-fault look, he's supposed to be the responsible one since he owns the house!
Jin spoke up "Me, Yeonjun, Soobin, Kai, Taehyun and Beomgyu, gosh I need to call you five something, anyways, we've been cleaning the place but SOME people don't know how to act their age" He glared at his friends "You're not included, Jungkook"
"I was just working" Jimin defended himself "Hoseok, Namjoon and Yoongi hyung were the childish ones" He scoffed and earnt a smack on the head from the three
I just facepalmed and look at the five boys "Promise me that you won't end up like them" I begged, they all just nodded
"You can count on us noona!" Taehyun beamed
"I remember Jin hyung saying that" Kai mentioned
"I want to be like Jungkook hyung" Soobin said
I'm glad to hear those but time to be serious again, I'm sensing that Jin's worn out from taking care of ten kids in a week "Everyone.Car.Now" I said in the most serious way possible, oh and I gave them a very stern look to match the situation, I am not getting a headache on my first day back
Thankfully, they all managed to shut up and , wait, they rented a van? Well, good thinking I guess. Everyone entered the van one by one while I was keeping an eye on them, Taehyung and I were the last ones to get it, honestly, I didn't expect all of us to fit inside the vehicle
A few minutes had gone by, and everyone's still quiet, uh-oh, did I overdo the serious face? It feels weird if they're too quiet, even inside a vehicle! I coughed "All of you can act normal now"
They looked at eachother for a few seconds, and smiled widely "Yes!!!!" They beamed and started talking, well that was fast
"How was the trip?" Jungkook seemed like he was struggling just to look at the back
"Oh, it was fun" I smiled "We visited new places, Taehyung's parents were just lovely, oh, and Eonjin wishes to see you soon" I laughed at the memory. Taehyung never stopped scolding and annoying his sister the moment he learnt that she had a crush on our friend "You should've seen Taehyung's face when Eonjin confessed to us"
Taehyung just rolled his eyes "That's natural for someone like me, Y/N, besides, Eonjin's too young"
"Hmm, I wonder why that situation is familiar" Jimin chimed in, we all laughed. He's not wrong, I also feel the same thing "Except that, two weirdos had to keep secrets from me for a year"
"Move on" I stuck my tongue at him
The van, went to a sudden halt, I looked at the window to see where we are, we're just right outside the house, however, there was an unknown vehicle right in front of us. It looked like an expensive car, I'm sure that I have never seen it before
I looked at Taehyung and Jimin to give them an 'is-that-car-somewhat-familiar-to-you? look, they shook their heads, It looks like the house is in a perfectly safe condition, right now, I'm hoping that we know the owner of the car
Namjoon (I forgot to mention that he was the driver), parked the van in front of the garage and we started going down, Jin instructed Yeonjun and friends (let's stick with that for now) to go inside the house, they did so without asking what everything is about
Yoongi and Hoseok got big wooden sticks, in case someone bothers to attack? They look like ridiculous soldiers actually, but of course I have no plans in telling them that. Jungkook and Taehyung were standing in front of me (what the heck? I doubt that Juhyeon would order someone to attack us or something), Namjoon and Jin were by the garage, and Jimin? He was standing in front of the car, with arms crossed and a questioning look that shows authority, something that I haven't seen in a while
I walked past Taehyung and Jungkook, I was curious to see whoever wanted to visit us okay? By the time I was beside Jimin, the driver's window was opening. I was shocked when I got a full glimpse of who was inside the car, well, not because of the 50-year-old looking driver, but because of who was sitting in the passenger's seat
"Nice to see you again, Chaerin" I managed to say, despite my surprised state, Chaerin just smiled at me and looked at my brother who didn't have any sort of reaction
"I'm sorry for showing up like this, and I hope you don't mind if I would have a word with, uhm, all of you?"
"Don't look at me, it's Y/N that you should be asking" Jimin shrugged, I was dumbfounded, it's not like I'm angry at my old friend or anything, but it's just a random and awkward request that I can't answer properly, I'm sure that Chaerin won't do anything horrible though, I nodded
I turned around to motion the guys that we can go inside, they all went inside the house whilst me and Jimin waited for Chaerin before going in.
Once we were inside, I went inside the kitchen to prepare tea, Beomgyu and Kai came in to help me since they were bored, they also asked if they can play with Jimin's Xbox since they were bored and they didn't want to eavesdrop on our chat with the 'unknown lady' , so I agreed
When the tea was ready, I served it to Chaerin and the seven children who let me make the tea in the first place, after that, I sat down on a couch. Chaerin took a sip and sighed "I know that I've said this already, I'm sorry, I truly regret my actions" She looked at all of us apologetically "I also want to inform you all that I'll be living in the states, my family's decision actually, they think that I'm a lunatic that might hurt more people if I don't get treated yet" She added, I could sense that she was hurt by the way her family sees the situation "I'm just here for some explaining, then I'll leave, and you eight can forget me and move on with your lives"
"I was a horrible attention-seeking bitch who was very envious of Y/N from the start" She said in a heartbeat, I frowned, Chaerin was my childhood friend, we met at a playground and we'd do anything to spend time with eachother, we went to different elementary schools, but we were often classmates at highschool, and we went to the same college "By college, I wanted to be your actual friend, Y/N, but I couldn't help but feel angry when you told me that you and Taehyung were dating, I was also furious because of the fact that I was the reason why you two met in the first place" Chaerin bit her lip and went on "I was too desperate so I did my best to destroy your relationship, with the help of Juhyeon, and when I learnt that you had amnesia, I thought that it was the perfect chance to make your life hell, and I thought that I could steal Taehyung from you"
"My actions were too disgusting, I know, I was too obsessed, also, I'm sorry, Yoongi, for using your family's weakness to make you betray your friends, I'm also sorry, Jungkook, for trying to make you turn against Y/N several times" She hid her face from us
I looked at my brother and his friends, they all had the same serious face, I sighed, I know that they don't have stones for a heart, and that they forgave her already, but it'd be too hard for them to forget what happened
I stood up and walked towards my former friend. I hugged her, it was quite an unexpected move, but she needs it, she's also sincere with her words, and instead of saying 'apology accepted', I think I should let her feel that she's forgiven. I could never bring myself to get mad at Chaerin (okay ,maybe amnesia Y/N was very annoyed at her), after all, I still see her as my friend, and the thought of her being gone is, something I would be super disappointed about, especially since our friendship is-

"You should've told me back then, I would've helped you, I'm also sorry for not seeing it earlier" I whispered "I hope that you'll have a happy and peaceful life at the states, I hope you can find a friend better than me" I pulled away from the hug and smiled "You still have a chance to redeem yourself, and I know you will, the important thing is that you saw your mistakes, prove your family wrong, okay? Be the Chaerin that I used to idolize"
I saw a tear that almost fell from her eyes, but Chaerin wiped it immediately "I have to go now, my flight's tomorrow, goodbye" She bowed to all of us one last time and rushed out of the house, I watched my old friend go and sighed, I hope that Juhyeon will be like her, I want to experience being in a happy family, where me, mom, dad, Jimin, and Juhyeon, could go out together without having to act fake in front of one another, cheesy wish right?
