4. Blood

Marie's POV:

I shake with hunger as Zander attaches the huge box trailer to the truck. "I need to feed." I state darkly. Zander stiffens for a moment then plays it off as if it's nothing. His heart beat starts to rise along with his temperature. "Okay here." He says holding out his left hand with his wrist exposed. In one swift move I'm in front of him biting into his wrist.

Immediately I feel as if im taking a breath of fresh air and feel stronger with each suck. This time instead of just taking a few sips I indulge myself. I enjoy the warmth of the blood sliding down my throat. It's so rich and full of life. I just want to endulge in it forever. Yasss I could bathe in it. I wanna make love to it. Dang it's just so good. This blood makes me feel alive, satisfied, but full of lust. I keep drinking until I feel Zander's legs shake beneath him then snap back into reality. I quickly pull back and lick the wound. I smile as I watch the wound mend back together.

Zander looks pale in the face and I can tell I weakened him, probably a little too much. "I'm sorry I didn't mean to drink as much as I did let me help you." I say as he takes a wobbly step forward. He shakes his head no. "No I'm fine but your driving now I need to eat and rest." Zander says then starts walking towards the truck. I watch him as he slowly gets in the passenger seat. For some reason I can't shake the feeling I'm being watched.

I sniff the air and smell the dead. In an instant I run towards it and find a little girl zombie, probably about 10 years old. She's covered in blood and from the looks of it her hands were chewed off. I quickly grab the sides of its face then dig my nails in and pull her face apart. Blood squirts everywhere as I can't help but feel bad for a slight second. What a shame. That kid should have never been a zombie. None of this should have ever happened. The world is sick and full of death. Who knows who is alive anymore? I've killed so many zombies today it's messed up. If I wasn't a vampire I would be such an emotional mess right now. I'm alot stronger mentally, well physically, actually everything honestly then when I was human.

I thought people would have put up more of a fight. That was so many people who died it's unbelievable. We have to save as many people as we can but first we need to get the necessary things to survive. The only place I know that has everything you'll ever need. Walmart.
