Who Do You Think I’m?

The lights were turned off in the VIP room. It must have around three or four in the morning when the sound of rain pouring outside and hitting the ground like rocks creeped into the room. A loud, sharp like rumble was heard. The thunder had began.

Rumble.

Cool sweat dripped down Suzy's face as her whole body began to shake. A sense of loneliness and vulnerability rush through her. Her hands clutched the fabric underneath.

"No..no, mama they are coming! I am scared....don't go..!"

Rumble.

"It's okay I am here, look mommy is right here! Take mommy's hand.."

Rumble....thud...

Without realization her hand had flung the flower vase next to her bed. Suzy opened her eyes, with a sense of shock ran through her, she looked down at the broken pieces of the beautiful vase. Quietly seating on the bed she stared out the window. In daze, she walked over towards the window, avoiding contact with the broken pieces. The cool breeze swayed the curtains next to her soundly. The street was surprisingly busy at that moment. As the cars drove on and splashed the wet rain across the road a sense of utterly chilliness hovered over the room. It was as if the wind and the wet rain had transferred through the window and bowl right through her. Flashes of light went past her eyes, she stared at the little droplets of rain that hit the window.

Pitter-patter...pitter-patter.

Suzy's expression shifted, her face became cooled as ice and her hands slowly formed into fists as her eyebrows knitted in frustration. How did she end up this way? Where did she go wrong? Why was it that she would have the same dream over and over? What did it mean? Absurdly, it had some connection to lightenings and rain. Additionally, who was that woman in her dream...she couldn't have been her mother, she looked nothing like Go Young Kim. So, then why was she calling her...mother? She continued to stare outside, until a sense of sleepiness drove her back to bed. Bending down next to the bed, she stared at the pieces for sometime before picking them off the floor and throwing it in the trash can.

...

The next morning Suzy's best friend, Han Ji-ae came to visit her. She stormed in with an enraged look on her face.

She walked in and slammed the door shut behind herself.

Click.

"God damn, I cannot believe that bitch! I told you she was up to no good from the moment I meet her! Suzy you dare tell me this now!" She rushed over to Suzy, held her by her shoulders and started shaking her.

Actually, Suzy did have the guts to tell her the truth. Although, Ji-ae and Suzy had only meet each other in college, it had already been around 10 years. They were so close and honestly to Suzy there was no one like her, Ji-ae was there with her through everything. Knowing she would have been hurt, she did tell her until this morning when she woke up. A slight smile appeared on Suzy's face.

"Hey! Why are you smiling....can't you see you're laying on a hospital bed...looking ugly as shit. How could you laugh....." Ji-ae sobbed as she stared at her best-friend. "When I fined that bastard I going to give him a piece of me!" She continued to sobbed as her hands circled around Suzy's wist, "fighting!"

"I didn't think you would come so soon, it's only 9:30 in the morning now...look who has become a morning person!" Suzy teased her as she released herself from the hug.

"Who do you think I am! And morning person my face. Since you're getting released today let's hurry up and get out of here. I, Han Ji-ae will give my best friend the makeover of her life, so that both that bastard and his bitch can rot in hell just by looking at you! Got that!" Suzy's eyes opened wide, her eyebrows raised as she started laughing...."thank you, my aein!"
