Checking Outside

It's been week's I thought and stayed here in the underground with Jill. He was now playing with the dry fruit or trying to chew in it. I keep looking at her to make sure she doesn't swallow, it's just like a pacifier. And as for me I chew the meat and make my teeth loosen. When you are thinking how I feed Jill, well it was easy. I found a cup here or a testing cup with a squishy tube that can suck a liquid into the tubes, So I'm using that thing. 

I don't really know what time it is or how long we've been staying here. Let's find out outside, so I put a sleeping baby Jill that way she won't do things or make noise when I'm going out. Man my eye is having eye bags I couldn't sleep well. Because she keeps crying when I'm in the middle of sleep. 

Walking toward the staircase with my torch, I unlocked the door and the door was open in a slide way like the elevator doors. Once I came out I saw our home was pretty in ruin and a mark claw behind by the werewolf. Since the mechanism was broken, I couldn't close it. And what I did was grab a stone wall from our house and woods pillar I stuck everything their since I'm so small and couldn't let up the heavy stuff so made barricade the door while I also put some plucking stop door with a bunch of woods and stone wall I also left a small hole that can feet in my body for any emergency happening.

Once I felt the place was safe, I turned and looked at the after matt. I grab a necessary room of mama Cathleen where all Jill stuff like her clothes and others. I noticed when I was in front of bakery shop mama Cathleen and grandpa Vince wasn't there anymore. The only left behind was a blood trail where monsters took the body's of adopted parents. I cried in infront and after that I toughen myself cause I have someone to take care of. 

I looked at the surrounding shop and other buildings and it was pretty ruins rubbles everywhere. You can only be in a desolate place. I thought myself it might be pretty good scavenging from each house since no one's there anymore. I went back to grandpa's room where a big box was buried by a wooden pillar and some stone walls. It was pretty tough for me to remove this thing and took me around 30 minutes. Once I remove those woods and stones I grab the small bow, quiver and five arrows. I left behind the 7 arrows to save later. 

I started mama Magda house and looked around. It was smashed by falling roofs and walls but at least some you can still get through the gaps and look around for treasures. The first thing I saw was a painting with Grandma Magda and his son. Why we call her Magda cause her name was Magdalena so for short is Magda. and then some utensils, plates that were made from iron, the same as cups and so on I collected everything that I thought was worth either selling in the future or for the use of something else. I prayed to mama grandma and his son that to forgive me intruding their own place. I was hoping they might see me stealing their staff. While they looked at me in heaven.

After I'm done with grandma house I went back to my hideout. "I guess this is for the day" the sun was on west and was later in the afternoon. so I rush back, undo what I sat up in the entrance and get inside, and I lock the underground door. Once I'm inside, I heard Jill giggling. I rushed downstairs and saw she was waving her hand in the air like she wanted to grab something. So I said "Hi Jill, I'm back." Surprisingly she suddenly cried "Aya baby Jill don't cry don't cry your big brother is here now" so I carried her and made pat on her back. I also hummed to make a lullaby music whatever I heard on the streets before the ruins. (Jack didn't know they could see the spirit of her parents, Mama Cathleen and grandpa Vince, who were playing with her while he was gone. when he came out the spirits also vanish that's why Jill cried for sudden vanishment). But the spirit has left a message to Jill and she only knows what is. Well they might keep reminding Jill that way she won't forget what they said to her when she grew up.

Months and months passed by and Jill was growing. And thank goodness the milk in the barrels didn't expire. I guess grandpa Vince has put magic on it that can last for years or years. 

"Jill let's take a bath" I said to her. I picked her up and went to one the barrel that I cut in two feet heights and it became her own bathtub. I feel in with mild water not hot nor warm or either cold to make her comfortable. I also put some in a medical bath I read from where I found a noble's house where's a lot of books that have records of medicine on how to use any plants and other staff.

The medicine in her bath can make her bone strong, harden, and firm that way when she grows more she will have a basic physical body. Same Thing as for me, but increase mine little by little when I get used to it and I increase. After I took her bath, I also fed her some milk and she was holding a bottle of milk that was sucking the milk. I found this also in the nobles house.  Man, there's a lot of treasure they left behind in their own house. 

She was now five months old and that's how she was able to hold her own bottle of milk. "Jill you are so adorable" I touched her nose and pinch. She coughed "Oops sorry baby Jill" I apologized right away and carried her and swung her around. She almost cried so I did that action right away and played with her, she started giggling and clapping her hands. "Well have you enough baby Jill" I asked but I just continued what I said "If so it's for your nap time baby Jill" so I start seated on rocking chairs with her in my arm and start singing a lullaby and then a few minutes later she starts to fall asleep.

I went outside once more to look for treasures in the nobles' houses since their volts or treasure rooms have been empty or they were brought with them when they were escaping. I wonder how they brought those bunch of treasures. I arrived at the big mansion that once was a beautiful building and now it went down into ruins. I am careful looking around just to be safe if there's a monster left behind. In the past, I learned my lesson that not to engage in the monster who was stronger than I am. I almost got killed and thank you Gods for looking for us. Whatever happened back then it saves me from a dangerous life. 

So now I saw three monsters with a dark green color skin, three floor height or so, had sharp teeths, pointy ears, eyes like just a frog with a color green, they walk on their own two feet, and they have tattered clothes to cover their private area. They were goblins with a sword, daggers, and a short bow. They are almost just like humans because of their body structures. 

I duck behind the gates walls and bushes. I observe what they are doing in that building. I guess they also just like me scavenging for anything they can use also for treasures. They went inside the mansion, while they walked slowly. I guess they have precaution huh on their surroundings. I waited for them until I couldn't see them. 

Once they were inside, I started to sneak inside the garden where I saw a broken balcony. I climb the balcony at a height of around twenty feet or so. Once I'm on the top I could see goblins removing some rubles and picking up some stuff. I didn't attack them cause what a kid can do fighting this trio. and plus I don't like fighting close combats. Even though I sparred with Alex every end of weeks before, but now I don't have a teacher or teach how to fight properly. 

Thirty minutes passed by, the goblins start packing their staff what they took. weather from cooking, tables ware, and some sword and spear weapons they have only limited to carry so they pick what is necessary they need. After they went outside, I went down to the balcony and followed them behind them to make sure they were really gone. 

I double checked and they are really gones and now is time for me to scavenge here too. I started in the rooms where the people belong and put them in their own rooms. I got in one of the rooms, I looked around and noticed the room was in girly style so it might be from a daughter. Because I saw a dress lying on the ground and a pink curtain that had been buried by the rubles. 

I saw a doll has a fall of dust, I picked up and removed the dust or dirt. I thought to myself "Jill might like this doll." I save it inside my backpack for her presents. After that I took some dress that looked still okay like the broken drawer dressers. After I scavenged here, I went to the next room and what I first saw a green color of pot laying on the ground was buried by my stone wall or rubles.
