Chapter 7 Black Dragon List

Charlotte told Nightin "Be more careful next time all right?"

Nightin replied with a nod and stood up after Charlotte was done tending to his wounds.

He went to the bathroom to take a quick shower before falling asleep on his bed.

The next day,Charlotte and Nightin went to the canteen together for breakfast. Just when they were queuing up for their meal,the announcement sounded off.

"All low ranked members are to report to the assembly hall right now. I repeat,all low ranked members are to report to the assembly hall right now."

Nightin and Charlotte gave up on their queue for their breakfast and walked to the assembly hall together.

About five minutes later,everyone had arrived at the meeting location.

Instructor Casper stood at the front on the stage,telling everyone "I'm sure all of you are curious as to why all of you are suddenly called for. The reason for this sudden assembly is to inform all of you about the Black Dragon List that's taking place next year. Our Assasin Hall will be selecting the top 5 members to participate in the Black Dragon List."

A student stood out and asked "Have our Assasin Hall ever won any championship in the Black Dragon List battle?"

Instructor Casper shook his head and replied "No. The strongest participants are usually capable of contending against a average spirit apprentice cultivator at the third star. The reason for it to be named Black Dragon is simple. Only the strongest spirit gathering realm cultivator below sixteen is worthy of the title as the head of the Black Dragons..."

"Half a year from now,the Assasin Hall will be choosing five representatives out of everyone present here. If there's nothing else, everyone can get dismissed. Nightin and Charlotte are to stay behind."

Everyone dispersed after receiving the command to. Leaving Nightin and Charlotte alone with Instructor Casper.

Instructor Casper told them "I hope that the two of you can secure a spot in the top five and win the Black Dragon List on behalf of the Assasin hall. Is that fine with you guys? I'm sorry for the sudden notice,but I have my own reasons."

Nightin and Charlotte nodded their head and replied "Yes."

Nightin walked up and told instructor Casper "Don't worry instructor Casper,I trust that you have a reason for doing so."

A smile formed on Instructor Casper's face. He took out two bottles from his pocket,passing one bottle to Nightin and one bottle to Charlotte.

Nightin wasn't able to tell what it was but Charlotte expression shows otherwise.

Charlotte looked at instructor Casper and said "This is too precious for us to accept." Before pushing it back to instructor Casper.

Instructor Casper however didn't take the elixir bottle back and told them that the elixir is useless for him.

Instructor Casper vanished right after pushing the elixir bottle back into Charlotte's hand.

Nightin and Charlotte had no choice but to return to their room first.

When they were back at the room,Nightin asked Charlotte out of curiousity"What's within this elixir bottle? Why were you anxious to return it to him?"

Charlotte replied "It's known as the meridian cleansing elixir. Though it's only a second grade elixir, it's rarity isn't lower than that of a seventh grade elixir due to the scarce materials needed to refine it. Furthermore, its effect isn't weaker than that of a peak eighth grade elixir.

Nightin looked at her,seriousness over his face "We can't afford to let instructor Casper down,it definitely wasn't simple for him to get us this elixir."

Charlotte nodded her head and they both swallowed the elixir down.

One day later... Both Nightin and Charlotte had absorbed the elixir.

For Nightin,not only did his cultivation breakthrough to the second star and ,his cultivatation speed was also twenty percent faster compared to before he absorbed the elixir.

In Charlotte's case,her cultivation did not make a breakthrough,however she reached the peak of the fourth star,being just one step away from the fifth star;her cultivation speed was also fifteen percent faster compared to before she absorbed the elixir.

Training for all members had been cancelled so as to allow every single member to train on their own. Every member will also be given ten spirit boosting elixirs every month. One spirit boosting elixir,can increase a cultivator absorption speed by about 10% for two hours.

Nightin and Charlotte both decided to venture into the Nine Volts forest together. Only by pushing themselves to their limit will they improve quickly,compared to cultivating safely in the Assasin Hall. Not only that, they'll also gain combat experience which is best experienced through life and death battles.

Nightin and Charlotte decided that they will depart two days later from today,so as to finish up using their spirit boosting elixirs.

Two days later... Though both Nightin and Charlotte cultivation barely improved,they still made an improvement.

For Nightin,his intent broke through from 5% to 10%,meaning that he'll be able to further make good use of his intent.

While Charlotte's Improvement is more noticeable as she condensed her bow intent. The Sky Hawk intent,giving her the accuracy and precision needed to shoot at a target far away. At its peak, it's capable of skipping three stars to kill an enemy. She has also gain enchanced vision through it,giving her the ability to better see through illusions and understand her surroundings.

With this,both Nightin and Charlotte left the Assasin Hall and ventured East,where the Nine Volts Forest is...
