Meeting My New Family

How was the birthmark related to this space and her being able to rebirth to this world though?

It was hard to answer this question at the moment.

Thus, Yulia put it behind her mind.

If she didn't know the answer now, she will sooner or later try and figure it out. She's got all the time now, now that she was reborn to this body.

She continued to meditate by sitting down in a meditative position, like how she had seen in her past life.

All the books that she read about how to keep the mind and body pure and allowing yourself to become one with nature was now being put to use. This seemed quite easy for her.

It seemed like she sat in that position for forever or even years.

She finally opened her eyes when the poison had dispelled and her illness was thirty percent cleared.

Then she suddenly remembered that the maid had called for her before and the previous owner's parents wanted to see her!

Omg! I might have been here for maybe years!!!! They must be worried about me!!!

How to get out?

That sudden thought quickly brought her from the space back to her room.

She quickly got dressed and opened the door and looked around. The maid was still waiting for her outside which was weird.

Yulia quickly asked how long she had been gone for. The maid replied saying it has only been a few minutes and that she had to hurry up because her parents had something important to discuss.

Yulia's face was full of shock. She had thought by now everyone must have been worried because she disappeared for so long.

She thought she had been gone for years!

She quickly hid her expression of shock and realized that the dimension within that space probably had a time difference compared to the real world.

The maid looked at Yulia and seemed to find something off. Her young miss's face seemed to have a better complexion.

The day before, her young miss looked rather distant and quite pale. However, today she looked different almost full of vigor and a lot less pale.

Yulia noticed the maid looking at her and changed the subject.

"Let's head to the main hall since my parents are waiting, we should not be dilly dallying here!"

Because she had the memories of Yulin, she was able to quickly put together where the main hall was located and walk there with the maid following her.

Of course, she would have to know because if she didn't, it would be suspicious! How could she say she suddenly forgot the layout of their home or how to get from one place to another in here?

As Yulia walked there, she sorted out the memories of Yulin's parents, brothers, and relatives.

The city where they lived was called Xu City. There were thousands of people that lived here.

Her family were known as the Sheng family. Their status was one of a noble. There are four statuses in this world. The lowest one being peasant, noble, king, and godly.

One could rise up a status if they had the power to do so. If someone was a peasant, their family could become of noble status if a family member is able to cultivate to Xuan stage.

One of the Sheng clan family's top cultivator was in level 2 of the Emperor stage. Thus making their family one of nobles.

However, if one were at the stage of Dragon, they would be on the same status as a king would. Their value would quickly rise and be that of a kings.

Even the king would have to be respectful to them.

Within their city, there were five major noble families that held a lot of influence. The Leng, Huang, Ming, Li, and the Sheng family.

Each of these noble families held massive power and influence. They all have at least one expert in the Emperor stage.

Power meant everything!

Yulin's dad was the current patriarch of the Sheng family. Both of Yulin's parents were at the Xuan stage level five, close to breaking through to the Emperor stage.

However, they had been stuck at this stage for many years waiting for a breakthrough. But it hasn't happened yet.

While the head family was who was behind closed doors cultivating was of level two Emperor stage.

While all this went through her mind, she finally arrived at the main hall.

Yulin's dad, Sheng Nie, was sitting on the main seat along with Yulin's mom, Li Murong. Her brothers Mung, Zi, and Yan were also present.

"Yes, father and mother. What is it that you wanted to discuss with me?"

As she asked this question, her father replied with reluctance asking if she wanted to attend the Moonlight Academy.

"We know you've had a hard time and rarely leave your room because of your illness. Have you thought about what we talked last time on attending the academy?.....It might be hard on you but going out to the academy will help you and might allow you to get better. As you will meet new people and learn new things. Being locked up in your room all day is not a good thing."

There was little emotion shown on Yulia's face, if she was to go then that would be a great opportunity!

She might be able to roam freely without being limited. She had hesitated to speak as this was running through her mind.

During this brief moment, her parents looked at each other and was worried that she might try to harm herself if she was forced to attend the academy.

Last time they asked if she ever thought about meeting with other girls from noble families her age and she had a mental breakdown and refused to eat for days.

They had to assure her that they were never going to push her to meet people anymore, which stopped the hunger strike.

She was already so pale because of her illness and looked very frail, if she was to continue to not eat for days, she would die.

Her parents loved her very much and wanted to protect her but they knew having her stay in her room all her life was not good.

One day would come where they could not protect her anymore. Thus they had to quickly find someone that could do that for them.

One that would love Yulin unconditionally and protect her.

However, knowing that she had a low cultivation many male nobles would not fully love or respect her.

Her going to the academy might possibly help her make friends and find that special someone.

"Yulin don't think too much of this if you don't want to do it! This might harm you more. We will just protect and teach you things from the academy when we have time! Don't worry about it!"

Her brothers were rather quick to reply and tried taking this heavy load off her back. They didn't want to see her suffer more than she already did.

They knew about the bullying and gossip that went on about her and it broke their hearts every time they heard it. Which created a lot of fights between them and the gossipers.
