Dispelling the Illness

After reading through the other half of the book, Yulin quickly put it down and moved towards the other rusted books.

She needed to find a book that talked about illnesses and poison. She didn't have the time to waste.

An idea suddenly popped to mind! What if she brings those books with her within that space?!

But how would that work? Thinking about this, she decided to test how she would get those books inside the space.

She put her hands over the books and with a thought of transporting, the books immediately was absorbing inside.

This made her quite happy.

However, this time it seemed that doing so exhausted her body a bit.

She really needed to dispel that illness in order to grow stronger and be able to transport more things if she was to ever do that again!

Unbeknownst to her, such a dimension within space was precious and only two past cultivators were known to have one.

These two cultivators were known as the strongest and most influential beings! There were also little documentation of what those space were and why they were created.

If she was known to have something like that, she would be killed because such space allowed an infinite possibility of gaining time and power.

Those with evil intentions would not allow the beholder to have such advantages while they did not.

After transporting all the books she looked around the library and made sure no one saw.

If someone was to see this, it would cause a headache for her. Although it was quite normal for cultivators to carry space rings where they can store things.

However, she just didn't want any attention for now.

Other clan members in the library were busy focusing and cultivating, they did not have the time to look at anyone else. Once they found the book they were looking for they all left.

The library was quite huge but not many young clan members were there. Most were outside cultivating and trying to learn through practice and going outside of the city.

Outside of the city, beasts roamed and death was bound to occur.

After putting the books within that space, she touched the birthmark and entered as well.

It felt like decades reading those books.

However, she once did not feel bored. She learned about a lot of things and gained some knowledge on medicine, elixirs, and certain illnesses.

She also learned that her illness was called the mystic illness. Those with this illness were bound to die by 18 years of age.

That was why her parents wanted her to experience the world and hopefully find someone that could cure her.

Many doctors were invited to treat her but none succeeded.

Her family was in despair and had come to terms with that fact.

They also kept it from her because they knew it was better to not tell her. It would hurt her.

The mystic illness eats away at someone's energy and internal body. It's a worm that travels the body looking for a place with the most intake of energy, it absorbs the life out of a person.

That was why she was always so pale and looked fragile.

However, she was not born like this. At a young age of 7, she had been kidnapped by someone and disappeared for days.

When cultivators found her out in the deep woods, she was hanging on a thread barely alive.

She was easily identified and brought back to the Sheng clan. They invited many doctors to treat her but none were able to.

Thus, she was given pills to help alleviate the pain and give her some strength but never fully cure her.

Within that space she sat down meditating.

She allowed the spiritual energy there to course through her body following the worm where ever it went.

It felt like a long time sitting in that spot.

When she finally opened her eyes, she felt relieved! She felt like a heavy boulder was finally lifted from her body.

Her illness was finally gone! She checked her body and found that it was really gone.

Great! Now she can really start cultivating!

She returned back to the library and put the books back then left.

Right after she left, an elder of the Sheng clan appeared at the spot she was at. He stared at the books for a period of time and looked around.

"It seems someone is able to understand these books. It's been many years since that's happened. A great change is bound to happen to that person."
