The lonely hours

It's been days since I saw Becky last.

She hasn't been at school and if she was then she wouldn't talk to me, but hang out with her classmates. Even in gym class she wouldn't show up.

I'm beginning to wonder why Becky must keep things the same and not do anything about it.

Carly has been sitting at my table during lunch, but I don't pay attention when she talks to me.

I am way off my edge in classes. I am a huge wreck without Becky.

The time of the last week of school before Christmas break came and Becky still isn't talking to me.

I went to my locker when I got to school.

There was an envelope on my locker door with my name on it.

I opened the envelope.

Inside was a note that read:

Merry Christmas. I hope you find everything in your need.

Carly

P.S. Meet me at my locker after the first bell.

After the first bell, I went to Carly's locker.

"Hey October." Carly says.

"Hi. What's this?" I question.

"Can't I say 'Hi' to you Geez." Carly questioned.

Carly looks up, then at me.

"Mistletoe." Carly states.

"You're crazy. I'm not falling for it." I barked.

"Christmas rules." Carly ordered.

I groaned.

Carly pulls me in and kisses me.

When she pulls me away I blinked quickly.

"Carly, I what I wanted to say was that I will go to the dance with you." I say.

"Are you okay October?" Carly asked.

"I'm fine." I replied.

"Are you on drugs or something," Carly asks

"No! Heavens no." I answered.

"Walk me to class and I'll tell you what the requirements for me are." Carly says.
