How can people detest candies

This time didn't even have sneakers. I ran bare foot on the rough roads of NYC. It was a horrible experience. The only hope that kept me going was freedom. Once I reach the police station I don't have to worry about Sarah's tantrums and Reyan's devilish control.

I was worried about Kenny, because he was the only one who seemed to care for me. I'll make sure to pay him back for his deeds.

On my way I fell a couple of times wounding my knees. Hands untied wearing a white corsage, I looked like a pauper. Dress was horribly stained .To catch my breath I sat down on a park bench for a while. I saw a two men walking in my direction in suits. I thought that I failed this time as well. I got up quickly spraining my left ankle. Numerous injuries in a day.

The aesthetics of NYC never failed to surprise me. Children happily riding their bicycles. Old couples walking on the side walks buying groceries. Everyone looked happy.

Suddenly I felt an adrenaline rush to my brain. My legs went numb and I kneeled on the sidewalk breaking down behind a payphone booth. Thankfully, nobody saw me. A little girl walked up to me with a tiny pink bag in her hand, straps hanging on her shoulder. She kneeled down next to me. I turned away to wipe my tears.

"Why are you crying? Did your mom not buy you candies?" ---- Her sweet voice brought a smile on my face ----

"No honey. She(Reyan) wanted to buy me candies(luxuries) but I denied her and ran away from her."

"You don't like them?"

"I love them, but I'm afraid of cavities (consequences)."

"You can just brush after having them." ---- She got up, smiled and then ran to her mother ----

The depressed me didn't seem to interpret the little girl's advise properly into the adult version. I got up with a smile and started walking. My leg ached and I had to limp. From afar I saw a policeman. I walked up to him.

"Help me sir. I'm an Indian. I was abducted."

"Miss let's go to the station."

"He took me to the nearest police station"

"Our officer is in that cabin. I believe he can help you."

"Thank you sir." ---- I limped into the cabin with full of hope ----

What I saw inside took me by surprise. This was not expected. A man in his late 50s, bald, about 175cm tall was standing. I assumed him to be the officer. There were two swivel chairs on the opposite. Two man who were sitting twirled to my direction.

A hand from by behind grabbed my hand and pushed me forward.

"Ouch … " ---- I turned around holding the hand, already knowing who it must be -----
