"Relax a bit. We are around. No one's going to die. However, you are no better than your older brother if you don't allow the juniors to fight to their potential. After all, Rina is your junior. I'd like to see if she deserves her title of Spearman."
"It would be a shame to Mavislin if she can't fight properly. On the other hand, you should have more faith in Rina. Mavislin took a chance and invited an enemy to join the ranks of the Pillars in just a few days."
"But if she can't perform as a First Seat, then I might have to kick Rina out from her ranks," noted Z.
A dangerous Aura emitted from the First Seat Marksman.
"Why is there a menacing Aura coming from my side?" asked Gillian, looking at Ashley.
Z had eyes as big as dinner plates as Ashley glared daggers at him.
"Listen up, buddy. I will not tolerate you talking bad about my juniors. I am part of the Barren Pillars. And I will only listen to one Mage, which is Mavislin. But, if need be, I will stop them. By hook or by crook. And certainly not from your judgment!" shouted Ashley, loading up some bullets.
He then pointed the loaded gun towards Z as Gillian tried suppressing a laugh.
"And I won't hesitate to do you in to your grave. May you be in heaven half an hour before the devil knows you're dead. And by the way, duck!" yelled Ashley, unloading the gun at the dueling duo.
Meanwhile, the flower Mage had turned around instantly and got ready to fight against the boy. To her surprise, Amani was armed with a single dagger. But Rina noted that it wasn't an ordinary dagger. It didn't look like one.
The two duked it out with Amani using a shrunken Leviathan to move around. Z stood up once more as he tried to see the weapon Amani was holding. It had a curved blade and handle. The handle also had three indents for Amani's fingers to get a good grip.
"Hey! That's a Karambit! Since when did he have that?!" asked Z, confused.
Ashley's bullets flew through the air and were about to hit Amani. However, the kid abandoned the idea of attacking Rina to defend himself against the flying shots. The glint of Amani's curved blade could only be seen as he cut down the bullets from Ashley.
Ashley looked at Amani with awe and walked towards the fight. Before Amani could return his attention to Rina, Ashley raised his arms to draw on the duel. Amani's beast vanished while Rina retracted her spear. But the boy's Karambit was still in his hands.
The weapon fused with his hands through an icy substance, to be more precise.
"You used your blood to create this weapon? How'd you find out about this?" asked Z, looking carefully at the weapon and the boy.
"I just happened to see the Karambit on one of the books lying around. I liked it, so I copied it. And Blood Mastery can be used to enhance initial attacks. But it could also be used to create makeshift weaponry. But it won't last very long. See," explained Amani, as the weapon vanished.
"So mixing your blood with your Element creates weaponry? You're gonna die if you keep that up!" argued Rina, pale at the information.
"Yes, but we know our limits. For me, I can use Blood Mastery a total of five times per day," replied Amani.
"Still, it doesn't give you the right to use it all the time. Five times can be quite adjustable. What happens if you'd already lost a lot of blood prior? Listen. I don't know what that skill is, but it's going to cost your life if you don't manage it properly."
"Likewise, using your blood to enhance the performance of a spell is dangerous if used unwisely. Blood Mastery is what you both called it, but I've got no clue how to deal with it," added Z, placing a finger under his chin.
"I understand," said Amani, walking back to the rest of the kids.
"Alright then, let's get Midori out for the next turn. I'd like to see what sword you've got," said Rina, pointing at the young girl.
Midori's ears twitched, and her tail moved as she heard her name being called.
"The next Swordsman Pillar, I wonder what she'll do..." asked Z, getting high hopes for the child.
"Well, she was picked by Tomoe and Raiyen. And it was the first time that the two of them had agreed on a decision, so I don't think she would be letting us down. Then again, I don't feel much power coming from her," whispered Gillian, not wanting to let the child hear him.
