"I don't have much power shooting out from me now because Mother Mav gave me a limiter for my powers. She said I was starting to develop a fever because I've got too much Elemental Energy in me. It's the green bow behind my head. Mother Mav says it transfers excess powers to her."
"That way, my Elemental Energy won't go to waste. And I don't end up dying either. However, if I am heading into battle, which requires me to use copious amounts of Elemental Energy, I can do so by taking this out," said Midori, with a glare and smile at the Headmaster.
She proceeded to take off the green bow and allowed her hair to flow freely in the wind. She stuffed the ribbon in her pocket. Instantly, her powers were shown. A large tree sprang out from the area behind Midori, shocking all the kids. And her Aura resembled a tree as it covered her back.
Her Aura was forest green with a lime outline. Luckily for them, the Old Chapel existed in a dimension that could not be seen outside its confines. Meaning to say, the tree and Aura could grow and shine like a beacon, and no outsiders would see.
However, this doesn't apply to other Mages. If the Elemental Aura of a Mage within the Old Chapel's area is large enough, the Mages on the surrounding area outside can detect the Aura. As such, Mavislin and Raiyen could feel Midori's Elemental Aura from where they were.
Elemental Auras can create pressure on those who have Elemental Powers. The larger the Aura, the more pressure it creates. It's like getting suffocated from a huge blanket. If two Mages are facing off, the one with the larger Aura would ultimately win.
But, if the power difference between the Mages is too much, the weaker Mage may just die from the Elemetal Aura alone. And it is a death brought on by compressing the physical body into dust. To elaborate, the losing Mage would turn into dust.
"I'm surprised. I didn't think Midori would have so much power. Perhaps she can help us out with this project," commented Raiyen, wiping the sweat off his brow.
"Why? Are my powers not strong enough?" asked Mavislin, glaring at Raiyen.
The Time Mage felt shivers down his spine as he turned to face Mavislin's angered eyes. Luckily, his lady wasn't as angry as he had predicted. Instead, it looked more sad and disappointed than upset and angry. Raiyen turned his body slightly and cracked his stiff back.
"No, I didn't think that. I think that maybe another set of hands would be beneficial here. But if you think she's too young to help out with such an important spell, then I will respect your decision. After all, I'm only helping out here. So I don't have a say in who is helping."
Mavislin nodded, and her expression reverted to her usual calm self.
"She was helping us for the whole time. Not physically, but her Elemental Energy is channeled to mine whenever she has the green ribbon. Her situation was like Bryan, so I decided to give her an object that can transfer excess Elemental Energy out to me," explained Mavislin.
"But why? I thought you could make a weapon for her, and she can use it for battles," quizzed Raiyen.
"Why don't we take a short break? Since Midori is using her powers now. And no, I will not be giving a child a weapon as her first gift," replied Mavislin, sitting down by a tree.
The Time Mage had forgotten that Midori was still a child. She may be the most powerful in the abundance of Elemental Energy, but she was still a small kid. Mavislin would not give the kid a weapon without a good cause.
Back to the training session within the Old Chapel's grounds.
"Well, I should've known that Mavislin would do such a thing. After all, she loves kids more than anything. And... Wait a second. Did you call Mavislin... 'Mother Mav'?" asked Z.
"Yes. We call her that because she's like our mother. After all, she's been tucking us in for the nights that we've been here. Do you have a problem with that?" asked Midori.
Everyone shook their heads. Midori slowly took center stage as she closed her eyes. She placed her hands in front of her chest, similar to how she would have held a sword. The grass around her started to increase, clinging onto her slim legs.
Her hair began to sway with the wind as Rina readied her spear. Continuing the pattern of her other friends, Midori's vision transports her to an alien world. And the world was quite conflicting to her Element. Her Element was Earth or Gaia, to be specific.
