The Ark Of Aokigahara

"The blood helped you and four other kids. You five are connected now. Without it, those four would've been dead. And with this comes another thing you have to learn; to control your power. The blood within you doubles every day, so there's an overflow of blood now," explained Tomoe.

"An overflow of blood means that there's going to be an overflow of Elemental Energy in you. And when a delicate container has too much to hold, the container will explode. Thus, we have to put your excessive Elemental Energy into good use. Or anywhere else but your body," added Mavislin.

Midori looked worried as Mavislin described the situation. It was then that both ladies created the Blood Mastery Skill. A skill that forces the user to bleed to create spells or physical weapons. It can be used to enhance other spells as well.

But the main goal was to stop so much blood from multiplying within Midori's body. The first method worked, but it would be messy to be bleeding all the time constantly. Thus, Mavislin settled by giving Midori a green ribbon as a hair tie and limiter.

That was when she sneezed, scaring Mavislin and Tomoe. Not because of the sneeze but due to Midori changing appearances. A set of foxtail and ears sprouted within that instant. It was the first time Tomoe that he'd seen Mavislin look so stunned and couldn't speak.

The shock was so great that it forced the Valkyrie's body to turn into a child without her saying anything. Tomoe quickly caught the Valkyrie in midair, using his hands to hold her waist. Midori opened her eyes to reveal two emerald orbs and looked at the two Mages.

Her hair had switched from black to snow-white, similar to Tomoe's hair. But unfortunately, the child had not been named yet when the conversation was happening. After a moment, Mavislin switched back to her teenage form and inspected Midori's transformation.

"She kinda looks like you, Tomoe. A female version of you," commented Mavislin, eyeballing Midori.

Tomoe looked into Midori's eyes before glancing away hurriedly.

"That's absurd. She doesn't look anything like me. I've got violet eyes, not emerald ones," refuted Tomoe, crossing his arms across his chest.

Midori had no idea why she was looking back at those particular memories. But she felt confused and upset when she recalled Tomoe's face at that point. She adored the Kitsune, so when he made that expression, she felt something in her shatter.

She thought he'd hated him and had no clue that it was because of him she got to be selected to be in the Barren Pillars. The only reason why he had that expression was that she reminded him of his late brother, Mizuki. It brought back bad memories for that moment.

The more she thought about it, the more she felt lost and hurt. She wandered until she could find a stone and sword. Similar to the legend of King Arthur, Midori found herself drawn to the blade. The sword wasn't anything flashy or extravagant.

It was a regular katana with a golden handle, pommel, and ferrule. The sleeve on the handle was black, and the blade looked chipped and rusted. But Midori had no choice. It was the only weapon she could find. She held onto the handle and tried pulling it out.

As she finally mustered the strength to pull out the sword of the stone, the area changed drastically, starting from the rock breaking apart. Then, as an enchantment was forced onto Midori's mind, a sea of greenery began to swarm the barren land. Her mouth was itching to chant the words out.

"Grow, the Sea of Trees. Turn this barren wasteland to the lush Forest known for suicides and death—home to wandering spirits and many legends. Now then, engulf the area! Aokigahara, Blue Tree Meadow!" yelled Midori.

Within the physical realm, Rina had to brace herself as an influx of Elemental Energy and Aura was released from the young girl's body. Dust was being kicked up and was gone in an instant as Midori swung the katana with her right hand. She stuck her left arm out to the side.

A black sheath appeared in Midori's grasp. She then took a side step to face Rina. As her foot touched the ground, her emerald eyes glowed, and a flash green blinded everyone. The grass floor had vanished and was replaced by clumps of moss on the ground, coupled with dried leaves.

The training session was in an open field, but it has become a forested area. Sure, there was a forest surrounding the field, but this new area was different. Unfortunately, Z's dome had disintegrated the moment the location changed. The kids started to worry as they huddled behind Ashley.
