"He uses the hatred and negativity of people to power his attacks and gets the Elemental Energy to survive in duels. And I've got a feeling that Rina dwells on the same thing for restoring her Elemental Energy. So I'm not too sure, but I think the Flower Mage uses the anger of others."
"The angrier she gets or if the people around her are angry, she becomes more powerful. Maybe you can try dueling with her again, see if I'm right," said Z.
"No, thank you, I'd like to keep my soul nice and tuck inside my body."
"For Ysabeau, anything that creates wind would suffice for her. If the battlefield is in the sky, Ysabeau has the combat advantage against every Mage in the Universe."
"The higher she is in the sky, the more powerful she becomes. On the other hand, Gillian relies on people's words to provide him with the boost he needs. But for human Mages like you and I, we need to adhere to our physical bodies."
"But I can't lump in the Time Mage since he has established himself to be a Time Master from last night's incident. So soon, all the Time Mages across the planet will be flocking to see him," explained Z, reminding himself about last night's alarm.
The Galaxian Mage shook his head as he recalled falling out of the bed when his system went haywire and started the alarms when he was about to drift off to sleep. Z kept trying to find out what was going on until he honed into where the Orphanage site was located.
The Elemental Energy was massively skyrocketing by the moment as Z tried to calm the Familiars down so they wouldn't attack the Founders and Mordred. After Raiyen finished the spell, the archives freaked out as a Time Master had been established for so long.
The Slayer stopped chewing and looked at Z with widened eyes. So it was comical to see bacon slowly sliding out of Bryan's mouth that the Galxian Mage burst into laughter. Then, after calming down and getting a hold of himself, Z asked why Bryan had that expression.
"I haven't heard of a Time Master for long. I thought it was a myth handed down through generations and folktales. The Mages I've met know so little about Time Magecraft that they thought it doesn't exist anymore. Until Raiyen became more active in town," replied Bryan.
"But do you know what Time Masters do?" questioned Z, curious that a young lad like Bryan could have heard about the existence of a Time Master.
"My mother told me about it, and Minwoo mentioned it against me during his journey to meet with you guys. He said the Time Boy was the hated thing since Raiyen would always be sticking to Mavislin. I wonder why Minwoo was overprotective of Lady Roydon."
"That's a story for another time. For now, we've got a much bigger problem in our hands, and it's as huge as the Six Rogue Mages Mission."
"Well, to answer your question, Time Masters are Time Mages who are the most powerful within the Time Period they are in. A Time Period is the length of a century, but Time Masters can last for more than that. Their job is to oversee the century's events and see that the timeline isn't broken."
Z closed his eyes and nodded.
"You are not wrong about that fact, but you aren't fully correct either. First off, the Time Mages do not change their Time Masters every century. So the 'Generation' that they refer to is the descendants of the first Time Mage born on this planet. Thus, Raiyen is Generation XXI."
"Secondly, there's no such thing as a 'Time Period' only certain events that can alter the history of the Earth. And a Time Master's job is to go to these events and make sure nothing abnormal happens. If something abnormal happens to an event in history, the Time Master must step in."
"If the event is a major point in Time that could destroy Earth itself, the Time Mages dub it as 'Singularities.' These are fixed in points in Time that can never be tampered and there's no definite number to how many of those can occur. But other than these facts, you're right on the money."
The Slayer pouted as the information he had provided was wrong.
"If Raiyen becomes a Time Master, what will happen to the Arks?" asked Bryan, stirring his morning cup of coffee.
"Well, as I've stated earlier, the whole planet's Time Mages will converge to this location and find that they can't locate their Time Master. But, believe it or not, there are about over a hundred Time Mages on this planet, even if you can't see them. When Raiyen emerges to them..."
