"Why did you need my help, Lady Roydon?" asked Tomoe.
"I'm not researching the mission yet since I would be one of the last ones to head out. Instead, I'm digging deeper into the history of these kids and trying to find the Mage that gave Midori that special blood. And I need your help to search up the Knights of the Round Table."
"Especially that Merlin Mage, I know it's going to be impossible since you aren't familiar with the archives, but you can at least filter out some relevant information for me," instructed Mavislin, shifting some screens around.
"Filter out?"
"You are a Kitsune, so false information should be easy to find out. In those days, the retellings of major historical events were based on the bias since you could be killed if you wrote something the King did not like. And you have a knack for finding such things."
"So you want me to sniff out the fake information to search for the truth?"
Mavislin nodded.
"Alright, but may I ask why?" asked Tomoe, moving away from the wall next to Mavislin.
He then touched the tabletop, which popped up a holographic screen with kanji characters. It would seem that the room was answering Tomoe's native language, which he found eerily creepy and amusing. The fox began researching and tapping into the archives about Arthurian Legends.
"There's no reason behind it. Plus, I'm so close to perfecting this Blood Mastery of theirs. I need a bit more information and tries. These are all the skills relating to the Blood Element and Blood Mastery, but there are still some differences. I need to complete the Blood Mastery for the kids."
Tomoe paused his tapping and glanced at Mavislin with a confused gaze.
"I thought the Blood Element and Blood Mastery are the same things, with the Blood Mastery being a lesser form of the Blood Element? We've agreed with Midori to deal with the growing blood within her. So what else is there to do?"
"Blood Mastery is a derivative of the Blood Element, but it isn't the same thing, just like how the Fire Element comes from the Life Element. In simple terms, the Blood Mastery is the aspects of the Blood Element that could be used without being a descendant of the Blood Mage."
"By right, the Blood in these children should only be used offensively. So when I learned that Duncan was using other ways like what we've seen for yesterday and today's matches, I knew I had to change the properties of the Blood Mastery."
"However, I had no clue how he could override my work. A child was able to change the Element I've created... How many times do these kids need to impress me? Anyway, I'm getting side-tracked. I told them that the Blood Mastery is the lesser form of the Blood Element."
"It is almost true yet not too much. To prevent the children's original Elements and the newly created Element from clashing, I had to split the characteristics of the Blood Element across the five of them. But still, Duncan shouldn't be using his Blood Mastery defensively."
"His Blood Mastery was supposed to mix with the Element of Decay like how Circe's Blood Mastery creates flames and Amani's creates ice. Onyx should have been used to inflict the concept of 'Death' onto wherever the blood touches."
"Means, if it lands on a living being, that part would start to decay and rot if the person's defense isn't at a certain level. And yet, this kid is using it to heal wounds the size of him! On top of it, he hasn't used his Blood Mastery to attack, which wholly frustrates me..."
"At this rate, I can't tell if you're angry at Duncan for progressing so quickly or just tired from the overall projects you've been working on for the past few days..." said Tomoe, gently placing a hand on the stressed Valkyrie's shoulder.
"I can't be angry at those kids for bending the rules if they can't help it. It's only human nature to explore things of the unknown, but this is beyond tiresome to handle," answered Mavislin while searching up the suspect list.
Z pretended to continue his work while overhearing Mavislin's conversation with Tomoe. Z had warned the Valkyrie about creating an Element with such weak foundations from the very start. And that it could get out of hand very quickly, especially when there is more than one test subject.
And the truth about the twins having other spirits in their bodies was also considered before deciding to create an Element using their blood. Then, when the children were asleep, Z ran a test on all five kids and found that Midori and Duncan had dual Elemental Energy pools.
