The Ark Of Two Mages Vs One Knight

"Fourth Sun: Scorching Bones, Flare Up!" shouted Tomoe.

The Kitsune swung his blade upwards in a circular motion to create a massive slash of blue flames to hurt the incoming Knight. Mordred snickered as she merely used a single hand to hold her blade and put it across her back.

That stance caught Tomoe off guard since he thought it might be a good opening for Bryan to launch an attack.

"Stars of the Water Bearer... Aqua-"

"Too slow."

Before Bryan could launch his spell, he found that Mordred had another hand free and was facing frontwards. The Slayer could barely figure out what was happening as he was forced to be on the defensive side when Mordred gave a powerful kick to his scythes.

As for Tomoe, Mordred lifted her blade upwards to knock their clash off. The two male Mages landed safely at the further sides of the arena as Mordred grinned while placing the sword on her shoulder.

"Two Mages with high praises from my best friend can't match my standards... And I'm using a faux body for this... Hah! Mavislin's taste in warriors has become weaker in the past few centuries! Or have I grown stronger in a child's body..."

"Anyways, you both should be ashamed that you are getting your backs pounded by a mere child!" laughed Mordred as she shook her head in disappointment.

Ashley noticed something was off with Midori and continued to scope into the fight. When he realized that Mordred had taken over, Ashley prayed that two Mages could subdue her before things got out of control. If not, he had to jump into the fray.

"No way... That sword of yours shouldn't be so light to be used with only one hand... You are going to break Midori's arm if you continue swinging that overgrown blade around!" shouted Tomoe, angered that Midori's body might be hurt during Mordred's fighting spree.

"Eh? I'm never hurting the kid, so don't you worry... But I guess you should worry about stitching some wounds after I'm done with you both!" snarled Mordred as she thrust her sword towards Tomoe, forcing the Kitsune to hold up his katana.

Mordred had thrown the sword in a way meant for a spear to pierce through shields, causing Tomoe to fly back. Then, without any space to react, Mordred appeared in front of Tomoe again.

"If you are the master of your weapon, then handling it like it's a part of you should be child's play!" yelled the Knight of Rebellion, kicking the pommel of the thrown sword.

"What?!" shouted Tomoe as the kick's power was so great that he was forced to disengage the clash.

The Kitsune cursed as his arms flew upwards and couldn't change his position. Then, with Mordred's sword in the air, the Knight leaped up and grabbed it. Mordred then somersaulted and slammed her heavy weapon right at Tomoe's head.

At least, that would've been the case if Bryan hadn't saved the Kitsune at the right time.

"Thank you. I owe you something," said Tomoe, getting up.

"No problem, we've got the same opponent, so naturally, I'm going to help you."

Mordred smiled as she held up her sword towards the sky. A bolt of red lightning struck the Knight, shocking the two male Mages. The arena shook as Mordred's sword had red sparks surrounding it. Bryan was slightly worried as the Knight' Elemental Aura was getting higher on the danger scale.

"How can a dead person have so much power?!" asked Bryan as he backed away.

"Don't let the Knight's taunt fool you! No matter how high her Elemental Aura goes, Mordred is still using Midori's body, so she's got a limit. We must ride this thing out until Midori gains control again," explained Tomoe, narrowing his eyes at Mordred.

"You think I bullied Midori into letting me take over? Don't be so absurd! I would never do that to my poor girl... She was the one who agreed with the switch so she could freely take back control. Right now, Midori wants me to go ham on both of you so that she can learn how I fight."

"So let's teach her, shall we?"

"This isn't too good..." said Bryan as Tomoe was the first victim to get hit by Mordred's pounce.

The two sabers duked it out as sparks flew and clashes were exchanged. Tomoe was defensive because Mordred's attacks were too strong and unpredictable. Upon every hit, the Kitsune feared that his katana might shatter.

In addition, the attacks after the appearance of the red lightning made Mordred's movements more powerful and erratic, making the previous clashes seem like she was using Midori's power instead of her own. Was Mordred in her past life that powerful? Or was she a Mage from the beginning?
