The Ark Of Rina's Faith

Rina stepped back with caution as she remembered Mavislin's parting instructions not to get feared by the Knight's looks or words. But it was hard since Bedivere was pulling his hair by the clumps.

"If Mordred hadn't met that damned Valkyrie, our Camelot wouldn't have fallen! So why did she have to meddle with our affairs?! Our kingdom was perfect; the King's reign was great! We won so many battles and helped so many people... WHY DID THAT VALKYRIE HAVE TO RUIN IT ALL?!"

"Whoa, there; Mavislin has nothing to do with your kingdom! Especially about the downfall of it because it was your King's fault for not controlling the Knights. Lady Roydon-"

"You don't know what happened, so you should shut your mouth! If it hadn't been for that Valkyrie to steal Avalon and Clarent, Mordred wouldn't have risen against the King! The sheath would've protected the King. My King wouldn't have died!"

"Your King died! Have you not realized that?! So Mordred's rise to rebellion wasn't because of anyone but himself because your King refused to relinquish the throne to him!"

"That wretched Valkyrie gave Mordred the weapon that wounded my King... How dare you say Mavislin did not have a hand with my King's death?! It may have been indirect, but it was still the same outcome; my King is dead because of your Valkyrie!"

Rina dropped her stance and weapon upon hearing that revelation. Was that the truth, or was the Knight of Loyalty toying with her faith in Mavislin?

"You don't have a clue of the person that you are serving... So you have no right to insult my loyalty to the King!"

The Flower Mage stepped back in fear as she realized that she might not have understood or known about her boss, unlike Bedivere and his King. But the Flower Mage remembered what she had discussed with Bryan while the Founders had an emergency meeting.

"Do you have a plan against your opponent, Bryan?" asked Rina as she finished placing the last child to sleep.

"Me? Well, I'm going to have to improvise because I can't fight very well against proper swordsmen..." said Bryan, slumping down onto a dark corner of the room.

"What do you mean? I thought you were working under Marquess Minwoo and the Five Kings. You need combat expertise to be accepted into that group, right?"

"Correct, but they didn't specify which type of combat. I got in because of how I fought within the shadows. I used daggers with an intent to kill my opponent for money, not swinging huge swords in the name of chivalry. Those two combat skills are very different."

"Even the ideology of why we enter combat is different. So once I clash with a Knight, it will be curtains for me."

"Aw... Come one, didn't you train with Tomoe to use the sword given to you by the late Marquess? I thought you would've more confidence in facing sword users after fighting Tomoe..."

"I didn't train with the Kitsune... I was horrendously beaten by him using a rusty blade! It didn't matter if I had faith in myself because Tomoe was a master of the sword while I could do only small attacks with tiny knives. But I could win against my target as a Mage... But how about you?"

"Uhm... I haven't thought of it yet... I hoped we would move in pairs or as a group."

"That would be impossible with the time and people we have on our hands... So expect to fight solo."

"Hm... I guess that's true. But I'm still curious about the whole thing, the Knights of the Round Table resurfacing. Why would they do so after being dead for so long? Did they find out about Mordred living in Midori?" asked Rina, looking at the sleeping child.

"I don't think that's the case... Or else they would've attacked the Old Chapel directly. I thought that the Round Table was familiar to our Barren Pillars..."

"What the hell do you mean by that?!" yelled Rina, swerving her head so fast that it could break a human's neck.

"Shh... You'll wake up the kids if you continue yelling like that..." complained Bryan, covering his ears.

"The Knights of the Round Table was an organization dedicated to the Briton Domain in the fifth century. Their King drew the Sword of Promised Victory and slain the evil dragon, Vortigern, holding Camelot's people hostage."

"They fell because of their personal affairs. A Knight had fallen in love with the queen, and they had an affair. Mordred, the son of King Arthur, found out about this and decided to incite a rebellion, causing the ultimate downfall of the Round Table and Camelot."

"That organization has no connection or similarity to our Pillars!"
