After the Slayer had said goodbye to his teammates, he stepped into a heavily forested area. Bryan was afraid that he would end up in such a place since he hadn't seen a forest in Albion before. He then continued to walk around, trying to find his target.
"The relic of Avalon is within me... Maybe I could use it to my advantage? But, I don't think that would be possible..." whispered Bryan as he felt the connection with Avalon finally completing.
The more he walked around, the more he felt that the forest was not typical. The fog was hanging around, essentially blocking out the sun. But the whole atmosphere of the area felt so... Mystical and strange... If Bryan were to turn the corner, he might come face to face with an actual fairy.
"This place should not be opened to you, Mage of the Arks," thundered a voice that shocked Bryan.
The Slayer instantly summoned his scythes and looked around to find the source of the sound. A glint of metal caught Bryan's eye just in time as a being with shadowy Elemental Energy shrouded his figure. The Slayer knew his physical defense wouldn't be strong enough against this foe.
Thus, Bryan made the quick call to disengage from the clash and leaped backward to create a distance between his foe and himself.
"Interesting... You knew that I was going to push you back, so you decided to do it yourself..." said the voice as he finally stepped out and into Bryan's vision.
The person had matched the description of Sir Gawain on the profile given to Bryan, but there was something off about him... The most glaring thing was the armor that the opponent was wearing. It was black with its crevices glowing in red. The next would be his eyes and hair.
In life, Sir Gawain had blonde hair and turquoise eyes. But now, the being standing before Bryan had white hair and red eyes. Bryan held his attack stance, ready for the next move. Silence befell the two as Gawain made the first move and lunged towards the Slayer.
Bryan quickly used one scythe to block the attack and knocked the sword out of balance. But Gawain wasn't falling for the trick as he stomped his feet into the ground to keep the clash steady.
The Slayer said nothing as he pulled back his scythe and used both blades to strike at the giant sword. Metal clangs reverberated through the mystical forest as the two men fought.
As Gawain brought down his heavy sword to hack off Bryan's leg, the Slayer skillfully dodged the attack by flipping himself to stand on his hands. Then, seeing the chance, Bryan brought down his legs to wound Gawain.
In turn, the Knight of the Sun grabbed Bryan's legs and swung him into the nearby tree. But thanks to Bryan's fighting style, he quickly recovered and changed his landing to his favor. Once he touched the tree, Bryan propelled himself forwards with strength enough to destroy the tree.
Gawain was being pushed back with the flurry of attacks from the Slayer as Bryan continued to strike his sword in various places. Since Gawain was a Knight, his fighting style mainly was for slow but heavy attacks, while Bryan loved to use his skills as a covert assassin to finish his targets.
As Bryan hopped around to get to high ground, Gawain held up his sword to block the diving opponent. The Slayer smiled as he clashed with the Knight, creating a massive shockwave and enough power to make the Knight break the ground.
"For a skinny little boy, you've got quite the strength behind your attacks..." praised Gawain as he slowly got the upper hand by pushing back the Mage, who was still in mid-air.
The Slayer remained silent as he quickly switched from armed to physical combat by kicking Gawain in the lower jaw. The Knight flew towards the side instantly and crashed into a tree. The being slowly stood up and gripped his sword, only to find himself at Bryan's mercy.
The Slayer did not hold back as he delivered another solid kick for Gawain's blade and forced his opponent back. The force of the lift was powerful enough to send the Knight crashing through several trees.
But Bryan wasn't done with the Knight as he gave chase and continued to strike his opponent using both blade and kicks. Thinking that Bryan would run out of fuel, Gawain decided to be bolder and thrust his sword towards the Slayer's head.
To the Knight's surprise, Bryan merely caught the charging blade while he gazed at Gawain's eyes without a hint of emotion. Bryan pushed the sword away and contorted his body to kick the Knight's jaw, completely rupturing it.
