The target merely ran away while still sending arrows to greet the already annoyed Marksman. Ashley gritted his teeth as he crouched down and slid one foot backward in a sprint position. The Pillar concentrated his Elemental Energy to fortify his legs.
"Lynx... Burst!" yelled Ashley, propelling himself from the spot and traveling at bullet speed to his target.
His opponent caught on to what was happening and quickly took a sharp turn. Ashley missed the turn at first but could chase after the enemy later. The Marksman used a random wall to push himself to the correct angle to follow the target.
The force of the push was so strong that it completely decimated the stone wall, and the shockwave caused the nearby walls to collapse. Once Ashley was at close range with his enemy, the Marksman held nothing back as he swung his rifle's barrel at the enemy's neck.
The enemy slammed into a nearby brick wall while Ashley followed him. The Marksman was indeed one with his weapon as he had no problem tossing the rifle into the air and leaping upwards. Ashley caught the gun and pulled the trigger while using all his might to throw it toward the enemy.
"Lynx Eyes; Round Six! The Semestral Blast of Okeanos!" yelled Ashley as six bullets flew out from the barrel.
Streams of aquamarine Elemental Energy surrounded the bullets as five shots moved to cover the thrown gun. Finally, a few beams of Elemental Energy connected with all the bullets and created a giant water ball.
Finally, after so many attacks from Ashley's side, his enemy has decided to use a spell of his own... But, the enemy was a move too late as he was forced to meet the attack head-on using nothing but his weapon on hand.
Ashley landed far from where his foreseen target would be and waited for the blade to die down. The Marksman snapped his fingers, causing the rifle to return to his hands.
"You are the Hawkeye of the Old Mafia clans of the Five Domains back in the day... And even though you are a sniper, you used that gun as if it was a spear or melee weapon," said the unknown archer, standing up from the rubble.
"Yea... Well, if I hadn't learned other fighting techniques like using a lance or hitting people with my punches, I would have never seen the light of day during my time in the Mafia. I don't think I would've even been accepted to the clan, let alone become the Mafia Head of all Five Domains."
"And fighting using a sniper rifle is boring... Sniping is meant for backline fighting, not in a one-versus-one duel. And certainly not in a close-quarters battle arena like this! If I hadn't bashed through that wave of arrows, I would have just left this place!"
"I hate when my enemy doesn't want to show his face to greet me... It's a great insult to me as a Pillar!" roared the Marksman as he swung his sniper rifle down, dispersing the dust cloud from the earlier attack.
The archer said nothing as he drew to full height, revealing himself as the Knight of Lamentation, Tristan. His armor was quite not as flashy or prominent as compared to all of his other peers, just enough to pass the bar for a Knight in war. He also wore a dark purple cape.
But the Knight's new eyes and hair truly shocked Ashley. Within the original profile, Tristan had short, shoulder-length hair with beautiful chestnut color. And his eyes were supposed to be brown. However, Tristan now had long, dark green hair and red eyes.
The whole person looked like death as his muscular build was significantly slimmer than the one noted in the profile.
"What a sad tale to tell... What a tragedy that has befallen upon me to have you as my opponent," said the Knight of Lamentation as he held onto a small golden harp.
"Well, I can't say that I'm sorry, but I think you are better off facing me because the rest of my team aren't so nice. Not to mention that the Valkyrie of the Arks are on our side," replied Ashley, cracking his neck.
Tristan widened his eyes before he crushed his harp in half, causing Ashley to back away. It was like a trigger being pulled as Tristan's Elemental Aura appeared as a swirling cloud of green. The Marksman was about to pull out his side pistol, but he halted.
The broken harp was morphing into a large, black bow with several bowstrings. Ashley cringed at the sight of the bow, which was made of grey human bones. It was hard to process that a Knight from the Round Table would have such a horrendous weapon in their arsenal.
