The Ark Of Tarnishing A Legend

"I'm not shaming you for bringing back up against me since I was once a formidable foe... Looe up the archives now and ask around... If you mention my name, you can see them shiver in terror. Because I was the one who decimated the Northern Forest of Briton."

"It was a simple task of killing the target, but I got frustrated, so I burnt the whole area down instead. The village was small, so a simple fire and flour would be enough for the job. My then boss thought it was too much, but I came home swinging with Coins enough to feed me the month!"

"You sought to wreck chaos upon innocent lives when you were only supposed to hunt down one person?! Those who have killed for desire have no right to live! And you get to lecture me about following the Chivalry Code?!" roared the Knight Of Lamentation, slamming his bow into the ground.

Ashley sighed as he shook his head at the angered Knight.

"I didn't say that I killed for desire... That would be a madman's job. I went ahead and burned everything down because getting rid of the target's family was easier. Furthermore, you and I are very different. Even our family backgrounds are opposites of one another."

"I was raised with one concern; doing my job to keep myself alive. If I don't do things quickly, I will miss another job offer. And then, I would miss my pay. I didn't have the luxury of being trained by other famous people and could only learn by seeing what others did."

"So... You thought to burn the whole area down? Like it was... Nothing? And you are saying that you are suitable for doing such a despicable act?!

"I never said it was right for me to burn that village to cinders... It was convenient for me, and it's up to others to interpret that statement. For me, it has passed as one of my many jobs during my Mafia time to ensure my status as the Mafia Head."

"As for you, you were the proud member of the Knights of the Round Table, led by King Arthur, son of Uther Pendragon. You were known as the Knight of Lamentation since your whole tale was a tragedy from start to finish."

"And thus, by committing such crimes, you are tarnishing your legend," described the Marksman.

"I am not tarnishing my legend if I am working towards a future for humanity!" shouted the Knight Lamentation, clenching hard on his bow.

"That's just it! There's no future for humans in such a place! You are so far gone into your little goal of turning this Domain into some paradise without sin that you've forgotten about who you are!" shouted Ashley, tossing up his weapon and catching it to aim at the archer's head.

The entire gun started glowing in cyan light with aquamarine streams of Elemental Energy dancing around the weapon and the person. Tristan backed up as he tugged on his bowstrings, sending a few arrows towards the Marksman.

Ashley merely shot down the arrows with his bullets, much to Tristan's dismay. The Marksman then spun the rifle around his finger and reloaded it while still making eye contact with the bewildered archer. However, Tristan was not backing down as he continued pulling on the strings.

Arrows from all different directions came hurling towards Ashley as the man stood there, unwavering and unmoving. The Marksman his gun into the air and dashed about the area as fast as he could. The human eye would not have been quick enough to see Ashley's movements.

To Tristan, the Marksman vanished and appeared to the arrows' positions and back to his original point. The archer of the Round Table stumbled backward in fear as Ashley held up four arrows in his hands and caught the falling rifle with the other hand.

Were all of the Mages in the Arks this skillful and powerful?! Or was Tristan going insane and hallucinating? It had been so long since the Knight of Lamentation had returned from his trip, and now the mainland's Mages are this powerful?! Even Merlin would have difficulty fighting Ashley!

"How many times must you do this, Knight of Lamentation? Your puny arrows will never match up to my bullets," said the Marksman, crushing the arrows as if they were twigs.

"Impossible! Those arrows are heated up with the fury of our King! You are not supposed to hold them without getting scathed! Human skin can't handle the anger and Elemental Energy of a Corrupted King!" protested Tristan, fearing for his life and what stood before him.

Ashley grinned widely and began to laugh at the poor Knight's frantic outcries. It took Tristan a while to get why the Marksman went hysterical with laughter.
