The Ark Of Let Sibling Love Blind Me

"That sounds like a fantastic plan... Are you going to unleash another Frame of yours?"

"Yes, but once I do, we've got a five Tick window to finish the job. Or else Lancelot would forever be unbeatable. How about you? Are you going to use the Clarent move again?"

"I can, but I was thinking about something more dangerous and flashy... Something that will guarantee the job gets done. Ever heard of fusing two spells?" asked Mordred, grinning evilly as she placed a foot forward, ready to take over the fight from Duncan.

"Make sure that I see my sister alive after what you plan to pull off!" shouted Duncan as the Knight of Rebellion charged forward.

"What an annoying brother you've got, Midori. If I used too much of your power, you would die. But, of course, it's something that I can't allow to happen," answered Mordred as she casually blocked Lancelot's overhead attack.

"But Mordred... What are you planning to do? What do you mean by fusing spells?" asked Midori within her fictional world.

The Knight of Rebellion sighed before holding her sword to the young girl.

"Using my power from Clarent and your power from the Final Seed, we can invent a new spell that can pulverize our enemies into ashes. It's something that I did when Mavislin and I needed to take down a fearsome beast. I am sure that it can work..." answered Mordred, with a proud smile.

"How sure are you, Mordred? I'm worried that we won't have enough power for the next stage of the Mission... Remember we still have to save some Elemental Energy for the final fight?" asked Midori, fearful that her Elemental Energy supply wasn't enough.

"Yes, I'm aware, but we have no choice now. If we don't pull this off, we won't get to the final enemy. And this plan can't work if Lancelot is using..."

Mordred's words were cut short as the monster began to draw power from his surroundings and raised his blade over his head again. The same attack as before, letting out the power of Arondight. But this time, the fallen Knight aimed at Duncan, who was still maintaining Tartarus.

The Knight of Rebellion cursed as she had no choice but to protect Duncan. Everything happened quickly as Lancelot unleashed a torrent of black Elemental Energy toward the standing boy. Before Duncan could process what had happened, Midori shielded the boy with her body.

"Midori, stop it this instant! WAIT!" roared Mordred as Midori forcibly took control of her body to save her brother.

Blood splattered everywhere as Duncan saw his sister get slashed by the attack. Then, for the first time in so long, the apathetic child felt fury pumped through his veins as he saw Midori falling to her knees and the ground with her blood spilling everywhere.

"What the hell were you thinking?!" yelled Duncan, dropping his scythe and rushing forward to Midori.

"I was thinking of protecting my little brother... Because no matter what, I will not let you get hurt anymore. We'd pinky promised, right? Besides, I did it so you wouldn't take your focus from keeping the area stable so get back to it," whispered Midori, coughing out blood.

Duncan clenched his fists as he nodded, picking up his scythe before the area could collapse. Meanwhile, Lancelot was still howling in victory as he prepared to kill Duncan next. But the boy of Darkness was raging at the sacrifice of his sister; who knows what he'll do next?

At this point, even the Ankou couldn't stop Duncan as he decided to be merciless to the fallen Knight. The Reaper felt anger deep within but could not show it. With a straightforward command, Duncan became the monster he was always meant to be.

"This is an order, Reaper. You are to use your supply of Elemental Energy to hold down Tartarus; I will leave your scythe here to do so," commanded Duncan, stabbing the scythe into the ground to ensure it wouldn't fall.

In his mind, Duncan handed the scythe to the Ankou, who had leaped off from a gravestone. The Reaper loomed over the young boy with a stern face.

"Are you sure you are not letting your rage blind you?" questioned the Ankou, placing a hand on the weapon.

"If my sister could allow her love for her sibling to blind her enough to protect me, then I can allow rage and pain to blind myself to do the same!" roared Duncan as his eyes were red with fury.

The Ankou sighed as he took the weapon, and Duncan was back on the battlefield. Before Lancelot could touch him, Duncan had used his filmstrips to hold back the Knight. However, Duncan was unfazed as the Knight broke free and continued his advance toward the boy.
