The Ark Of The Pillars' Sting Operation

"Yes, Headmaster," chimed the group as they proceeded with the next stage.

"So the plan is to have someone hold down the King to ensure he doesn't escape our range. Is there anyone who wants to volunteer for this task?" asked Mavislin, standing up.

"I can use my Flower Dance to stop the King from moving. But I can only hold down for at most two Tocks. Is that alright?" offered Rina.

"You are not planning to use that spell again, right?" asked the Valkyrie, concerned for her underling.

"No... I'm combining Wolfsbane and Buttercup Kids to hold down the King."

"Buttercup Kids? I have never seen or heard you use that spell... What is that?" asked Bryan, suddenly speaking.

Most would've forgotten about the Slayer since he was quiet throughout most conversations, but the man was still there and hadn't moved an inch.

"It's the second spell of the Flower Dance in which I split my spear into five different pieces. Each piece would morph into little bulbs of Buttercups with butterfly wings. They are the cutest since they are my minions. In a way, you can call them my Familiars."

"The kids represent the Five Stages of negative emotions from my Flower Dance. I will be using them as anchors to hold down the King while using the Wolfsbane as ropes to hold down the King," explained the Flower Mage as her eyes flashed purple.

"Represent the Five Stages of negative emotions? Are all your Stages named after an emotion?" quizzed Ashley, who also had been mute for the past few discussions.

"Yes, they are. The emotions are Malevolence, Anger, Hate, Childishness, and Separation. But those Buttercup Kids are fractions of my power, so don't expect them to do any more than they could."

"That sounds fair... Does anyone have any objections?" asked the Valkyrie.

The room was silent as the Valkyrie continued with the planning.

"According to Mordred, we need someone to brave the King's blade, but it requires at least two Mages. Because Excalibur is considered to be one of History's most powerful weapons," explained Mavislin as she lightly tapped onto the table.

A picture of a long sword with a silver and gold hilt popped out from the tabletop. Several miniature screens popped out from the blade, indicating the forgery and History of the item.

"The legendary sword that King Arthur used to fight countless battles was once created by the first Mages that were created by the Earth's Core as a defense force. The humans called these Mages; Fairies, but we call them True Earth Mages. They were a good bunch of people."

"When the world was struck with disaster from the other planets that wanted to make Earth their home, these True Earth Mages appeared on the battlefield and helped to defend Humanity. As a huge threat came to them, these Mages bonded together to create a weapon."

"A powerful weapon that could shatter the beings as powerful as Bahamuts. If used correctly and without restraint, Excalibur can wound a Valkyrie, as I've heard from the late Empress. My mother had come to Earth to check out the area when she battled the Fairies."

"It was safe to say that my mother thanked her lucky stars when she didn't bring my twin or me along because the Fairies unleashed Excalibur onto her, destroying her left leg. It is said that the wishes of Humanity forged the sword. It could annihilate planets if needed."

"The conditions for Excalibur to show its tremendous power must be that the enemy is a threat to Humanity. But now that the King holds an opposite of the Sword of Promised Victory, I don't know what to expect. If I used the correct mentality, everything would be swapped," explained Mavislin.

"So the Sword of Promised Victory becomes the Sword of Cursed Defeat? Yea, you mentioned it a few days back... But would Excalibur be weaker because of the revival? Or will it be the same?" questioned the Slayer, staring at the sword.

"That's the thing; I've heard the Mages that battled the King said it was weaker while others said it was on par with the Holy Sword. So I don't know who to believe now..." sighed the Valkyrie, feeling quite frustrated.

"We're lucky that the King hasn't used the true form of Excalibur, or else we would have been dead meat. Unfortunately, even with the help of my Familiars, they can't seem to analyze that sword to give me a rundown about its stats," the Headmaster added.

"Well, they can't if you are not Divine. Excalibur can only show its stats to those who have the affinity to be called Divine or victims who will die from the blast. There's another Skill called Concealment, and the King loves to use it on his blade, so there's that issue."
