The Ark Of Lowered Stats

"I thought that Mav should lead the charge? After all, Mavislin is more experienced than the team, so I would trust her to pull off the stunt. I do not doubt your abilities as a first-rate Knight, Mordred, but I'm just worried about you heading straight into battle in a child's body..."

"Perhaps the plan might still work if Mavislin headed in there first and provoked the King to unleash the weapon?" offered the Headmaster.

Mordred blinked rapidly as she didn't know if she should be irritated at the Headmaster for disrupting her plan or embarrassed because he called her a first-rate Knight.

"What's wrong? Have I offended you, or do you have something to add to my suggestion? Not to worry, I'm not angry at you... You may have been dead for nearly half a century, but I have lived for over a few thousand years."

"So I've got the patience of an old man playing chess," said the Headmaster.

"It's hard to see or call you an old man when you look like a young man but whatever. You didn't offend me... You called me a first-rate Knight, but I'm only a third-rate at best. If Lancelot hadn't gone mad or turned into that monster, I would have never defeated him."

"Hell, the poor Knight of the Lake became the Knight of the Puddle judging by how weak his attacks and blocks were. I don't have healing powers, so I rely on Midori's Blood for the work. When I got hit on the shoulder, it felt weaker than normal."

"And I was counting for the Corruption Element to bring down the stats of the Round Table Knights because Lancelot was known as one of the stronger Knights..."

Mordred stopped herself from saying anything else as her eyes widened after realizing what she had said. The Knight of Rebellion scared everyone as she slammed her hands onto the table and stood up.

"That's it! Their stats are lower than normal! I'm not talking about Magecraft or Elements but their defense and attack. Their strength behind their combat were weakened because they aren't brought back to life using their bodies."

"So we don't have to compare the King of Knights to the real one from the records," said Mordred, scanning the room.

After everyone had recovered from their shock, the Headmaster nodded at the Knight while Mavislin smiled at her little fox.

"I think we can be more specific than that. We can find out the stats of the King based on the new data we've gathered, thanks to the five of you. Well done," chimed a Galaxian Mage, leaning against the doorframe.

"Oh? I thought you were busy trying to get away from the kids downstairs. So what are you doing here?" asked Gillian, with a raised eyebrow.

"I happened to be on break, so I decided to have a good walk around. I've been sitting for hours, telling stories to those rascals... Anyways, give me a few Tocks, and I can analyze the final data to give to you. It might have enough to determine the King's stats."

"See you in a bit," said Z, heading off as quickly as he appeared.

Everyone looked confused about what had happened as Gillian shHeadmasterad. The Heamdaster cleared his throat before steering the conversation back on track.

"Uhm... Well, that was a surprise... What were we saying again?" asked Gillian, looking at Mordred.

"About who was going to lead the charge against the King? I still think that I've got a chance against him since I've known the King for longer than anyone," answered the Knight of Rebellion, pouting.

"How about you, Ankou? Would you like to fight the King first or join later?" questioned Mavislin, who caught the Ankou dozing off.

"Hmm? I want to fight by Midori's side if it's possible. But that's for Duncan's promise. On the other hand, I don't mind if I stayed back for the climax. I don't like rushing into battle too much like Crimson Spark over here," replied the Ankou, pointing at Mordred.

"Then how about this? Mordred and I head into the battle first, and we try to force the climax as soon as possible. It should be easy since I'm planning to go against that King."

"So if we are nearing the area, the rest of the group must be ready to launch the attack," instructed Mavislin, glancing at her Pillars.

Everyone nodded as Gillian clapped his hands twice, loud enough to get everyone's attention.

"Very well, I will allow this plan to proceed. First, however, you must do it before sunset, or else it would be impossible for you to fight the King if she unleashes the Husks. So complete the Mission and get home for dinner, alright?" asked the Headmaster.
