Chapter 2 The academy and KI

Grey woke up immediately, when his soul returned to his body and saw he was in bed. He got up and looked at the cloak on the counter and saw it was four in the morning. Class would start in four hours. He walked to the bathroom and took a shower to get the dried up blood off his body. After his shower he grabbed a towel and found his suite case. He got his clothes from there and put them on.

He walked back to the bedroom and took off the sheets that had blood on them. He put his sheets from home onto the bed. He walked into the living room and noticed there was no blood on the floor. He saw Liz sleeping on the couch and picked her up and took her to the bed and left her there.

He went and started training in the living room doing ten thousand pushups, sit-ups and squats. While doing his training he kept of think of what Gabriel had said.

What was his real goal, what did Gabriel want him to say, Did he just say that because he didn't want me to have his powers?

At seven-thirty Liz woke up and noticed that she was laying the bed. She immediately thought she was sleeping next to grey, she turned and looked but he wasn't there. She got out of bed, got her stuff and headed to the bathroom, where she took a shower and changed.

She came out and saw grey asleep on the couch. She watched him for a few seconds and decided to wake him up.

"Hey wake up, it's time to go to class." Liz said and grey didn't even move. "Get up or we will be late!" She yelled and hit grey in the stomach.

"Hey what was that for?" Grey yelled as he grabbed his stomach and got off the couch.

"Because you slept in the bed with me and came to the livingroom so I wouldn't have found out! Liz cried while her face turned red.

"What! I didn't sleep in the bed with you." Grey exclaimed as he got off the couch. "I woke up at like four and saw you in here and carried you to bed."

"What, then how to you explain the new covers on the bed." Liz said as she looked at the time.

"I got up and there was blood on the sheets. I took them off and put my bed sheets on it." Grey said as Liz grabbed his arm.

"Oh boy look at the time, we better go or we'll be late" Liz said grabbing Grey and going to the door and into the elevator.

The elevator took them to the first floor. Then they walked from the court yard into the Academy building and past the office and up two flights off stairs and down a hall and into their classroom.

As they walked in the whole class look at them . They mostly look at Grey giving him the same cold eyes they did when he first arrived. Eyes that said they wanted him dead.

"Hey, why do they look at you like that? Did you do something to them?" Liz asked as they walked to the back of the room.

"No, nothing particular. I just showed up here like a badass on the first day is all." Grey said as they sat at their desks in the back row.

"Is that why they look at you like that?" Liz asked as she looked at Grey.

"Probably and maybe because my brothers a division captain." Grey said as he looked around at the class.

The Bells rang and class started. "Good morning students as you all now I'm your teacher Tom Yeager. First do you all notice or know why your sitting where your sitting."

Nobody said anything but Grey figured in was by their test scores and first place got the first desk and so on. He told Liz about it but she didn't think so.

"Nobody knows well then I'll tell you why. highest score got the first desk, second highest got the second chair. Look at your desk number that is your ranking in this class. The lower your number the lower chance you have of making it out of here alive, when it's all said and done anyone here can make it if you get past the last exam. Enough of that, now let's start class."

Grey looked at Liz and smiled because he was right about the seating but Liz just kicked him and looked away.

"Okay, I'll start with roll but, since they're a bunch of you I'll only call of the ten highest scorers."

"Aze Trencher"

"Here"

"Do you have anything to say mister highest scorer?" Yeager asked

"Yeah just one thing." Aze said as he stood up."Grey Lightning I'm going to kill you for making me look like a fool yesterday.l!"

"What, how did I make you look like a fool, I don't even know you." Grey said as the class laughed at Aze for stating something that Grey didn't even know happened.

"You really don't know! Aze yelled as he stood and pointed at Grey. "I had just shown up in my ship and I was walking to the entrance and looking cool when you and your damn brother came for a Lightning bolt. You left me fucking naked!"

"What the hell did you just say about my brother!" Grey shouted as he stood up. This was the first time Liz had seen him like this and it shocked her. His usual kind and nice face was full of anger and rage.

"I said I if wasn't for your Damn.." Aze didn't even finish his sentence when Grey had exploded out of his chair and slammed Aze into the wall.

Everyone was shocked at the sudden outburst but, Mr. Yeager allowed it. He finished his roll and told Grey and Aze to just not kill each other then left the class saying class was over for the day.

Aze got his head out of the white obsidian wall and charged at Grey but Grey dropped kicked him and grabbed his face as he was falling down then slammed Azes face into the ground. Aze got up and punched Grey in the stomach then in the face several times before he could get another punch Grey caught it and kicked him into the front desks. Aze got up and rushed at Grey and Grabbed him and threw him out the window and jumped after him.

Liz rushed down the stairs toward where Aze threw Grey and found them fighting in the courtyard.

"I sick of this I won't have you disrespect me any longer, YOU DAMN HUMAN!" Aze yelled as he transformed into his assassins cloak in an instant.

In that instant Aze had a hood on that cover some of his eyes, with pitch black cloths that reminded Grey of an executioner. The cloths were in two layer a jet black layer that was with the hood, covered his arms and his chest. The next layer was black that covered his pants and turned into a litter grey the lower down his pants you went.

"I don't care about that but, no one disrespects my brother!" Grey shouted as his eyes went from its usual brown color and turned gold as he charged Aze.

Grey and Aze both through punches to the face and connected at the same time sending both of them flying into the building behind them. Aze got up first and came flying toward where Grey was. When he got there he saw that grey wasn't there but then Grey can flying from above him and pinned him to the ground. Then he got him in a head lock, Aze struggled and was about to pass out until the other nine top ten scorers came and threw Grey off of him.

Liz was watching and it looked like Grey was the strongest one here but why was he in room one hundred and what did Aze say about him being human.

"What the hell you all doing here!" Grey Exclaimed as he got ready to charge them.

"We came to get him, now's not the time to kill each other." one of them said as the ten walked away and one of them, a girl, looked down at Grey and smiled then looked away red faced.

"Remember this Grey Lightning us ten are coming after you during the last exam!" Aze shouted as they walked away. "And we'll kill that damn scout of yours, who thinks she can get in first at the elevator over me from the strongest clan. Maybe we should of beat her more!"

Grey instantly charged them just thinking of them beating Liz and beat down two of them with one punch and broke Azes arm and nose before eight of them came and used their medallions power to beat him til he couldn't move and then Aze kicked him several times in the stomach and face til Grey layed there life less.

The ten left and so did the crowd of students. Liz immediately ran towards the unconscious Grey, panicing she helped him up and carried/dragged him to there apartment. She made it to there apartment, layed him on thier bed and looked for a Med kit. She couldn't find one. She thought of what to do when she remembered her mom would have her dad soak in a hot bath after a hard days work.She immediately went and turned the bath on and ran hot water, thinking that getting beat up and working hard had to be very close. She went into the bed room, grabbed Grey, took off his cloths leaving his underwear on and put him in the bath. She sat in the bathroom with him until she decided it was time for him to get out, she grabbed him and leaned him against a wall in the bathroom. She started to dry him off and when she finished, she put his cloths on. She took him to the bedroom were she let him sleep.

Three hours later Grey woke up and looked around frantically thinking he was still fighting but he noticed he was in thier bedroom. He saw Liz asleep in a chair next to his side of the bed. He got up feeling better for some reason and picked up Liz and put her in the bed. He looked at the time and saw it was one a cloke in the afternoon. Grey walked into the living room and trained for a few hours. When he was done he took a shower and put on some cloths and saw Liz sitting on the couch.

"Hey um do you know how I got to our room?" Grey asked as he sat down next to her.

"I brought you here after the top ten beat you unconscious." Liz said with a curious look.

"Why do you look like that Liz, do you want to know something?" Grey asked with curiosity.

"Yeah, why did Aze call you a human?" Liz asked as she stared at Grey.

"Because I'm human. Why else would he call me that." Grey answered not avoiding the question.

"So you from Earth!" Liz declared as joy filled her face. Thinking she had an Earthling as her partner.

"No I'm not." Grey said as Liz looked stunned. "My mom was from earth and that's why he called me a human. Is that all you wanted to know?"

"No, Why did you get mad when he spoke bad about your brother?" Liz asked as Grey looked towards the window.

"Well because he's my brother." Grey said as Liz looked happy. "He was always there we I needed him, he is the reason I'm who I am today and he never looked down on me even when I was just like the ten.

"Wait, you wasn't always a kind person?" Liz asked more curious than ever.

"No I used to be just like them ten. But my brother helped change me and I'm grateful for that because I don't want to be like that." Grey said looking ashamed. "Can we talk about something else Liz because I don't like talking about this."

Liz thought for a second and thought about his eyes turning gold and thought was that his medallions power?

"When you eyes turn gold was that part of your medallions power?" Liz asked looking into Greys eyes.

"No. That was a technique my Father taught me. You use KI( your body energy ) and shoot it through your body but, only people from the Lightning family can fully utilize it because we have Lightning in our veins making our senses sky rocket where ever we put or KI." Grey said.

"Wait I thought your father left." Liz said looking confused.

"He did but he left when I was nine. Grey said looking at the floor." He taught that to me a week before he left and I learned to subconsciously use it."

You put KI into your eyes without thinking? Liz said not letting Grey answer before slapping another question on him. "Or did you think about it?"

"I thought about for a split second and put KI in my legs first to get a surprise attack then I put it in my eyes." Grey said as his stomach growled.

"Oh, I looked through the refrigerator and I think I can make some delicious spaghetti." Liz said when she heard his stomach. Greys face lit up knowing he was about to have a food from Earth.

They ate spaghetti that night and Grey loved every bite of it. Thinking how lucky he was to have Liz as his scout getting to eat food that a real Earthling made.

When I came time to sleep Grey said they should just share the bed.

"Are you crazy, Stupid?" Liz Exclaimed. "We can't sleep in the same bed."

Why not? Grey asked with a confused look. "Me and Ganji(Greys brother) used to share a bed when we trained at the End Galaxy.You get that side and I get this side. It'll work, let's try it for tonight and if you don't like it then we'll think of something to do."

"Okay but, you better not do anything!" She yelled as Grey got into his side of the bed and fell fast asleep or so she thought.

Grey slowly got up and look at Liz and walked out the room. He got to the living room and trained, doing his ten thousand pushups, sit-ups and squats. Thinking the whole time about to things. He had to get stronger to protect Liz from the Ten and needed Gabriels power to help him but he still didn't know how to answer him. When he was finished he went to sleep on the couch.

The next day in class. "Okay now I'll take row." Mr.Yeager said as he grabbed a piece of paper.

"Aze Trencher"( highest scorer) He looks muscular with red hair, a fox face and hates people making him look bad.

"Here"

"Kaguya Kamikaze"(2nd highest scorer) Looks cute, has cat ears, has brown hair and is nice or at least Grey thinks she is because she was the one person of smiled at him and didn't beat him while he was down.

"Here"

"Leah Anber"(3rd highest scorer) Muscular for a girl, grey hair and mean.

"Here"

"Trent Gaffer"(4th highest scorer) muscular, short and a loud mouth. Looks like a bear fused with a human.

"Here"

"Lando Hackett"(5th highest scorer) Tall, doesn't talk much but loves to see people suffer. Looks like a man with a lions face

"Here"

"Mars Warri" (6th highest scorer) Short, black hair, hates people, loves killing. Has a mans face but a gorilla body.

"Here"

"Rina Fallen"( 7th highest scorer) She has a short temper, Loves killing. Looks like a girl with fox ears.

"Here"

"Hunter Xsed"( 8th highest scorer) Looks like a man just with devil like eyes. Loves killing people.

"Here"

"Luck Death"(9th highest scorer) Loves torturing people. Tall and lanky no muscles. Looks like a tiger.

"Here"

"And Britty Jamker"(10th highest scorer) Looks like a nice girl but loves killing and torturing her victims.

"Here"

"Now lets start class. Each day I'll teach you for about two hours and then your free for the day." Mr.Yeager said as he went and turned on the VD(video display) when he turned it on a future realistic see through screen appeared on each of the students desks.

"For the next month we'll be analyzing the fight that happened yesterday." " Look at this first scene, when Grey exploded out of his chair do any of you know how he did that?" No one answered. "He used KI( Body energy) to boost his speed by ten times, each of you can use KI but, I'll teach you that later, most of the time KI boost your scenes but for Grey being from the Lightning household, it doesn't only boost his scenes but also gives my more power, speed and strength. But when using KI it eats up your body energy and that is why after the fight Grey couldn't move and was unconscious."

Everyone looked at Grey with cold eyes because without their Cloaks on he was stronger than them.

"That being said he is stronger than everyone in this room without his cloak even with you each getting ten times power,speed, strength and skill for putting your medallions on. It just proves he was stronger than you when he first got here."

"Okay now let's look at this scene were Grey slammed Aze into the ground face first after drop kicking him." After talking about the fight for two hours he asked if anyone had any questions.

Kaguya Kamikaze raised her hand and said " Why did his eyes change color?"

"Because his body or might I say everyones body from the Lightning household changes eye colors when they focus KI in thier eyes. Based on their Lightning color Greys turned Gold because his Lightning is gold and if it was blue his eyes would turn blue. Does that answer your question?" Mr. Yeager said eager to get out of class.

"Just one more thing." Kaguya Kamikaze said "If we used KI would anything change about or eyes or any part of our body?"

"No because people from the Lightning family are genetic hybrids meaning that they have Lightning flowing through thier veins. Which using KI just brings out their true eye color. Nobody other than the Lightning family changes eye color."

After two hours of analyzing the fight he said class was over and left but Kaguya Tried to stop him because she said she had or questions but Mr. Yeager said he would answer them tomorrow.

Aze looked pissed off because the video made him look like a fool and he stormed out of the classroom and the ten followed him. Liz and Grey walked out of the classroom and went back to thier apartment.

The next day Kaguya was waiting for Mr. Yeager and as soon as he walked in she started with her questions.

"Is the Lightning family the strongest out of all the households?" Kaguya asked with wonder as Mr. Yeager sat in his chair behind his desk.

" No but, they are in the top five strongest." He said leaning back in his chair.

"Then who are the top five and do they have any special powers like the Lightning family?" Kaguya asked anxiously.

"The Trencher household is the strongest and their power is Hell fire being able to use fire from hell and they have a strong will to kill a person if they make them look bad. They have over eight thousand clan members. Next is the Xsed household who is the second strongest. They have over seven thousand clan members. Their power is the ability to use ice and are born with a natural ability to kill. Third we have the Fallen household who is the third strongest. Who have over ten thousand people in thier clan. They have more skill then anyone when it comes to killing but I guess that ain't really a power. The fourth strongest is your family Kaguya. The Kamikaze has over five thousand clan members. I'm sure you already know this but, you are masters at healing even the most fatal wounds with ease and have rapid healing powers. And the fifth strongest is the Lightning family who as of right now have only four know clan members. Their power is they can utilize KI like no one else can and use Lightning in any way they please. Now does that answer all your questions Kaguya?" Mr. Yeager asked looking annoyed.

"How is the Lightning clan considered that powerful with only four members ?" She asked with wonder.

"Because of Greys father, mother and brother. They are the other three members and they have more achievements then all of the other top five clans combined. Which having that many achievements would put you in the top ten but it put them in the top five. And now that Greys brother is a division captain their achievements are sure you go up from here on. Now is that all your questions Kaguya?" He said more annoyed then before.

"I have one more and I'm done" Kaguya said as she continued. " Why is there only four Lightning clan members left?"

Mr. Yeager hesitated to say something at first then he spoke "I can't answer that but if you make it past the final exam then ask the division captain whose squad you get put in, if you really want to know." Mr. Yeager said looking more annoyed.

"Why can't you tell me?" Kaguya said then she thought of something. " I'll just ask Grey about it, if you won't tell." Then the other nine looked at her as if she were Grey and immediately she apologized to them for saying she was gunna ask Grey and then told Mr. Yeager she was done asking questions.

A few weeks after they started to talk about KI in class. Liz and Grey was sitting in their apartment.

"Hey can you teach me to use KI?" Liz asked as they entered their apartment. Because Mr. Yeager tells us all about it in class but he never taught us how to use it."

"Why because you really don't need it." Grey said as he sat on the floor. "Your a scouter, you just tell me where everyone is and take some of them out from a distance."

"Because I want to know if their is someone sneaking up on me or watching us from a distance." Liz pleaded as she sat of the floor next to Grey.

"Okay, I'll teach you the same way my dad did." Grey said as he told Liz to close her eyes. When she did Grey pointed a finger at her heart, Lightning formed around his finger, he shot at her heart, Liz fell to the ground,Grey grabbed her, carried her to thier room and left her there. He went and train the rest of the day.

After four hours of training he took a shower and changed cloths. He walked to their room, where he left Liz, formed another Lightning bolt and shot it at Lizs heart again. She instantly woke up.

"What was that!" she yelled as she looked around. "What am I doing in our room?"

Grey avoided the question and said" Watch" and he threw a punch at her but she was about to sense it, dodge it and hit him back.

"Did I already learn how to use KI when I was asleep?" Liz asked looking at her arms.

"Yeah, But you haven't mastered it yet." Grey said not telling her what he really did. "You'll fight me each day and learn to use every sense to avoid my punches."

Grey when he shot his Lightning bolt at her, made it flow through her entire body and into her heart. By doing that he awakened her KI and by shooting another Lightning bolt he took out his Lightning that was in her. When most people had to focus for weeks to just get to sense KI and go through intense training to get to be able to use it, Greys dad found away to fasten the process to where it only would take a few hours. By putting the body through intense shock it would awaken the person's KI to the point where they would subconsciously be using it all the time. This is what Grey did to Liz.

"That's gunna be easy!" Liz exclaimed as she got up. "Lets start now"

"Whatever you want." Grey said as he stood up and went to his suite case and brought out a firsthand medic kit. Lets go spare in the living room.

They walked to the living room and Liz thought it was going to be easy to beat him now that she could sense his punches and movements. Grey was thinking of how hard he should fight her and he decided to just put his KI in his eyes instead of putting it into his whole body.

They started the fight as soon as they entered the room. Liz kicked Grey from behind, then grabbed him and threw him on the ground. Grey got up and was shocked at how strong she was. Then Greys eyes turned gold.

He dodged all her punches for the next five minutes and finally caught her punch and kick. When he caught Lizs punch and kick she felt just how much stronger he was then her by just touching him. He said training was over for the day because Liz was already soaked in sweat.

"How come I couldn't feel your strength until the end of the fight?" Liz asked as grey handed her a towel.

"Because you never made full contact with me until then and you wouldn't have felt my strength unless you had KI. Meaning that someone that isn't using KI wouldn't truly know how strong their opponent is." Grey said as he walked to the bathroom.

By the time they both got out of the shower and dressed Liz said she was gunna make some thing called tacos.

"What is that?" Grey asked with excitement and curiosity.

"It's a food that you put meat and vegetables in a hard shell taco" Liz said as Grey looked lost.

"What's a hard shell taco?" Grey wonder as he looked at Liz making the tacos.

"It's like a piece of bread but really thin and hard." She said as she continued to make the tacos.

For the next month Mr.Yeager taught about the fight between Grey and Aze for only ten minutes a day and told them to sit in the classroom for the rest of the time and leave when two hours were up.

When that month was up Mr. Yeager said they would be talking about scouters for the next month and that all Assassins didn't have to come for a month. But Grey went with Liz everyday for that month.

He went over only the basic of scouters saying that the rest would have to be learn on the field. He started class the same calling on the top ten scouter, that was the top tens scouters. "Let's talk about scouters now that roll has been taken. The scouter is the most important person to the Assassin. The scouter determines whether the assassin comes back alive or not. If the you scouters don't know the layout of the job then your partner could be kill by someone that you didn't know was there. Your job is also to give support to your partner meaning taking out people from a distance." Mr. Yeager said as brought out what looked like a sniper rifle from Earth or at least it did to Liz." This is an impulse rifle its scope can see up to 10 miles away but it can adjust to as close as 100 feet away. It can also shoot through anything in the know universes except for an assassin cloak. This will be your primary weapon as scouters, you will also have a secondary weapon." Mr. Yeager brought out what looked like a desert eagle pistol to Liz but more futuristic. This is your secondary weapon for close combat it's also an impulse weapon. This comes in handy when people sneak up on you and this one is sound proof. Each one of you is have these sent to your room as we speak. Learn to use these and protect your partner from a distance with it." Mr. Yeager said walking out of the room.

Since that day Mr. Yeager just came into the classroom for only a few minutes taking row and leaving.

After Mr. Yeager left the classroom Grey and Liz would walk to the academies shooting range and let her practice for as long as she wanted to every day. Then the one month of the scouters learning stuff about aiming and how to learn the layout of a place, then it was time for the next month. During the scouts month of training Liz and Grey continued to spar with each other to help Liz with her KI and he gave he pointers on how to aim and hit moving targets. Grey continued his own training during that time training whenever he could.

The start of the third month Mr. Yeager came into the room. "This month we will be talking about you assassins. Now I'm gunna have to ask you scouters to leave." All the scouters left the room and Liz told Grey she was going back to their room. "Now let's start talking. You assassins as the name suggests will be taking on assasination missions but, not all missions go like that most of the time you'll be faced with a strong opponent that's there to protect your target.What will you do then?" Aze spoke up "We kill them."

"How though." Mr. Yeager said as he reached into his desk.

"These are what you will you kill most of your targets with." He said as he showed them a light sword, impulse pistol and a hidden light blade. "The light sword is made of light like the name suggests and it will leave a clean cut on whatever it cuts. I advise you to keep it in its sleath at all times. The impulse pistol is also a silent pistol meaning you can take out your target without anyone noticing until it's too late. And finally the hidden light blade." Mr. Yeager grabbed what looked like a ring and put it right under his wrist and it stuck there. " This is what the hidden light blade looks like. To activate in just move your wrist up and watch." Mr. Yeager moved his wrist up and a light blade came out of the ring. He moved his wrist down and the blade went back into the ring. "Now each of you will have these three in your room by the time you get back. With that being said class is over."

Grey walked back to his apartment ready to try his new equipment out. When he made it into the room Liz was swinging his energy sword around.

"What are you doing that's dangerous!" Greg shouted as he tried to get it back.

"No it's not." Liz said still swinging it around. "It's really fun you should try it."

"Why did you look through my stuff I'm not even allowed to touch your sniper or pistol so why do you get to touch mine!" Grey shouted as he grabbed his hidden blade and moved his wrist up, activating the blade.

"If you won't give it back willingly, I'll take it by force." Grey teased as he tried out the hidden blade and broke the chair in half from just barely touching it with the light blade.

"Okay I think I'll stick to my things." Liz blurted putting the sword in its sleath and kicking Grey for slicing the couch in half.

For the next two months in class Mr. Yeager came, gave roll and taught us how to properly kill our target. "For the next two months I'll be training you all how to properly kill your target. The quickest way is to stab them in the heart." Mr. Yeager said bringing out a fake person and showed us what he meant. "This dummy right here shows everything about a person how gets killed. If I stab it it'll show how deadly the stab is." Then he stabbed the dummy right under his nipple where his heart is. The reading on the dummy showed the stab being fatal and the victim would die instantly. " See what I mean. We'll be going to the opposite side of the academy where I have set up a dummy for each partners here.Follow me." He commanded as he walked out the room and everyone followed him. When the made it to the field where he placed the dummies they saw numbers on them and knew right away which was theirs based on the number. They practiced going for the killshot right away and did it each and every day for the next two months. Suprising Grey and the ten didn't get into anymore fights after what happened on the first day of class. They just gave him killing looks except for Kaguya who just smiled at him and looked away with a blushed face.

At the start of the fifth month Mr. Yeager walked into the class room saying he had an announcement."As of today we are going to our final exam."

Everyone was shocked because they had all thought they made it through except the ten and Grey who knew there was going to be a final exam.

"Now we have this every year usually it's a battle royale of our one hundred students here, in a ten mile radius on a planet of my choosing. But this year is an exception because it's the AAA fifty year anniversary." Mr. Yeager said as he walked to his desk and continued."We will be doing a special one this year. I'm sure none of you know this but we have nine other academies across the know universes. And we will be having one battle royale this year on one planet with who ever is in the last ten wins and becomes part of the AAA Squads."

Everyone was was still shocked at being told there was a battle royale but now there was going to be an even bigger one with more top ten students.

"That being said when I call you up here, Assassins only, tell me what weapons you want, you can only pick seven and after your done telling me, you and your scout leave and get cloths because this could go on for the whole month." Mr. Yeager said as he called all the assassins up there and he finally called Grey up to his desk.

"What weapons do you want Grey?" Mr. Yeager asked looking down at Greys weapon paper.

"I want two impulse pistols, a light blade, impulse rifle, a full medic kit and one cloaking blanket." Grey said looking at Mr. Yeager.

"I'll be rooting for you Grey." Mr. Yeager said looking at Grey now."Me and your brother are good friends and I hope you make us both proud out there."

"I'll try but with ten top tens out there." Grey said but Mr. Yeager stopped him mid sentence.

"I'll tell you this but don't tell anyone. All the top tens will team up to get rid of the others." Mr. Yeager said as Grey stood there shocked."You have a target on your back because they have a chance to take down one of the Lightning family. They will come after you at one point in the Exam."

Grey walked away and Liz followed him out of the door. As they walked back to the door Liz asked Grey why he looked like he had just seen a ghost.

"Why do you look so pale?" Liz asked as they walked back to there apartment.

"Because their will be ten top tens there. I'm not to sure about if I could beat all one hundred one them." Grey whispered in fear as Liz opened the door to their apartment.

"You'll be able to do it Grey." Liz said smiling as they walked into thier apartment. " Because you said you'd get me home and let me see my parents. I believe in you."

Grey was shocked when she said she believed in him because only one other person ever said that to him.

"Your right Liz, I'll get you home and let you see your parents!" Grey Exclaimed getting his confidence back and walking to look for food in the kitchen. He noticed a school note on the counter and it said. " Attention students we will be leaving tomorrow at eight. Bring cloths because we won't be coming back for a month." Grey told Liz about the note.

"Don't pack too much Liz we have to be able to move at any second." Grey said walking back to the living room."

"Do you think I don't know that!" Liz yelled as she kicked Grey."I didn't even have any of my cloths here the AAA just gave me cloths when I first got here."

"You didn't have to kick me to say that." Grey said holding his leg." Anyway what are we having for dinner."

That night Liz and Grey ate what Liz called Hamburger Helper. Grey ate it with joy. They packed, took showers and went to bed early that night.

The next morning at eight they all boarded the ship and took off. Mr. Yeager got up from his seat in the huge ship and started talking. "Okay students I'll go over the rules of the Exam. The rules are simple, kill or be killed, it doesn't matter how many kills you get or if you even get any kills just as long as your in the top ten at the end." Mr. Yeager said as he walked back and forth in front of the students." You can team up or go solo, backstab it doesn't matter how you do it just as long as your in the top ten. This exam will take place on a remote planet and will last until there are only ten people left but it'll really be twenty unless your scouter doesn't live."

They flew through space for about two hours and Mr. Yeager said" We are here now remember their will be one thousand people(two thousand if you include the scouters)here and now get ready because you will be dropped off now. But before that let's hand your weapons to you." He said as one hundred troops came and handed each of them the weapons they asked for in a bag to where on one knew what they picked.

Two minutes after they got there weapons they launched each partners together to different parts of the planet.

Grey and Liz ended up in a dense forest with a creek. They used their KI you sense if anyone was near them and found that no one strong was near them. Then somehow over the whole planet all anyone heard was these words.

"We have a special announcement this year. The person who kills Grey Lightning will have a special reward for his death. To whom ever kills him will be instantly in the top ten, get a whole galaxy to there name and have five hundred trillion gold coins to thier name as well."

As the voice spoke a picture of Grey appeared on the sky of the whole planet. The voice had a long pause then it spoke again.

"Let the Exam begin."
