Facade

I fell back hard on the hard ground. I could not believe my eyes. The boy's cold eyes stared down at me while the blood gushed out from his neck.

I was so petrified, I could not get words out of my mouth. Then the boy spoke, his voice sounded like screams of different people but still authoritive, " EMILY EDEN I WILL TELL YOU HOW TO CLEAR THE LEVELS, AFTER LIVING LIKE ANOTHER PERSON FOR SOME TIME, TAG WILL APPEAR ON SOMEONE, THE ONLY WAY TO CLEAR A LEVEL IS TO KILL THE PERSON WITH THE TAG "

"wh-what are you talking about? No, wh-who are you?" I stammered.

"I'M A RETAINER, AS OF WHOM, THAT I'M NOT QUALIFIED TO SAY SO" he replied.

"Wha-?" I started, but before I was able to complete my sentence the boy vanished into thin air.

Ha- HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAA I Have officially lost it. I laughed like a maniac for about a minute or two. Then I saw the blood on the ground from where the kid-No! where that thing stood. It's for real?

I agonized over everything all by myself sitting in the alleyway. Did that thing just told me to kill someone? KILL SOMEONE? And why did that thing thought that I'd kill someone just because it said so? Hell with that!

Also where am I? Its not a place I'm familiar with. Wait a sec that flag over there, that is not the Australian flag?

I was lost in a place I don't know. Then I saw the couple that claimed to be my parents rushing towards me, "Lea, Lea what are doing there? Why did you run away?" Said the woman.

Honestly at that point I thought of a wicked joke. I was so tired by the turn of events that what I want most right now is some peace, and so be it. I have decided, I'm gonna leech off of them for a while as I started my facade. Of being their daughter.

"Mom dad I'm so tired can you please take me home?" I said. "Thank god you remember us now!" said the man. "Okay honey but first let's get you a last check-up at the hospital, I'm so glad you got your memories back baby" said the woman.

They took me to the hospital and got me discharged with some medications. After that they drove me to their home and got me in their daughter's room. I was so tired by the time I reached the bed I passed out immediately.

One week has passed since and I'm not gonna lie they have been real sweet to me. I never had a proper mom but that woman made me feel what's it like to have a mom. And I'm really thankful for it.

This week I have collected information about my whereabouts. Apparently I'm in a whole different country! This country is called Josaphat, but the weird part was that when I saw the map of here it only showed us the country's outline.

So I demanded a map of the world and to my surprise they don't have it!

So I could conclude only one thing, this country is secluded from the world, I don't know why would that be? Maybe because it's not advanced enough?

But whatever the case I have only one goal and that is to survive in this country and try to get back home.
