Du Ru Ran became an orphan at the age of 5 years old after a deliberate car accident. She was then taken in by her uncle. Life was truly tragic but being a smart girl, she managed to turn the tides around. She plans to avenge the death of her parents and her little brother who she did not get to meet in this lifetime. At that time, thank her lucky or unlucky star, she met a pair of mother and son, who gave her some warmth in her moment of total darkness. 

Years later, when they meet again, he stuck to her like a fly she could not get rid off. He kept insisting she took advantage of him when they were young and insisted that she take full responsibility for him.

20 years ago:
"Little girl, you really need to take responsibility on this young master when we are older. I am never going to let you go." He whispered into her ears. Due to his illness, he somehow grew up a little mature than peers his age. Hence, it wasn't a normal for him to be thinking about his future at such young age. In fact, since he was three years old, he had been groomed to be a fine young man in order to prepare him as he is the next heir of his prestigious family. He fell asleep with a smile on his face.

At the present:
She thought a dumb cupid made a mistake by accidentally release an arrow and the arrow went straight to a 7 year old boy and now, 20 years later, he is delusional.

"Why can't you leave me alone? I really have no time, no room for another person. I am pretty occupied with getting my revenge. Go and fly away," she said while making the hand gestures of shooing a pesky fly away.

"You really don't need to work hard on my behalf, I am touched that you worry about my well being and feeling. As long as I get to see you, that is all I require. You really don't have to do anything."

Ru Ran felt her head is going to explode, shameless, when did I, how on earth did he manage to lift himself so high that even direct language don't get to his thick skull? Fine, if you don't want to leave, I will walk away.

True to her thoughts she walked away huffing and puffing, fuming at the fly she can't get off.

"Wifey wait up!!!"

"Seriously, what do you see in me?" she asked impatiently. 

Instead of answering her immediately, he spun he around to face him, pushed her to lean against a nearby wall, locked her body with his legs and arm in order to stop her from escaping. His facial expression turn serious, gone the silly demeanor he had put up earlier. 

Her heartbeat increased and her palms started to sweat. She stuttered, "What.. What.. Just what do you plan to do?" 

"I am going to answer your question. Look me in the eyes. I see a beautiful lady, a stubborn one, cold exterior but inside she is kind and afraid to get hurt. She gave me a kiss 20 years ago and gave me the strength to live and from that day onwards, I have given my heart to her."

My reflection in your eyes

"Get that waitress!" It was all Du Ai Sha could say. She could not keep her composure any longer. People were shocked to see the always gentle Ai Sha to raise her voice. 


Ru Ran smirked because it is not her mask that is going to fall off. Looks like she won't be welcome in the Du household. Not that it matters anyway. She will need another method to meet up with the Matriach. 


The waitress had long gone when she heard the recording device had been exposed. She knew she was only a lowly income person that would ended up as a scapegoat if she was not careful. With the money she had earned for doing as told, she planned to run.


"What do you mean, she is gone?!" raged Du Ai Sha again shocking the people around. Even Han Tian Cheng was taken aback.


"That just means one thing cousin sister, things whole fiasco is a plan to ruin me. I did not expect after all these years, things remains this way between us. I wanted to show my good will by giving up my shares but who knew. If this how it is going to be, I, Du Ru  Ran, disown myself from this family. Since young, after I became an orphan, I never had family, thank God that God still loves me that he gave me Ji Yu and now I am no longer alone. Let's go Yu. It is truly a mistake to come," said Ru Ran.


Ji Yu wrapped his arm protective across her shoulder and both of them turned to leave. Meanwhile, Shin Tong had also exhaust her energy but could not get the man to speak. In the end, she also washed her hands clean and was prepared to leave.


Du Wen Hai and Du Ai Sha both panicked at the Ru Ran's and Shin Tong's actions. Du Wen Hai was thinking it wasnt such bad news that Ru Ran wanted to repair their relationship with Ji Yu as her backer or support, they could ride on his coat tail as well and Du Group would soar to a new height and it would boost Ai Sha's position as well. Shin Tong is another  person they could not offend, if they refuse to share their technology with the Du Group, then they will truly suffer.


Ai Sha panicked as she try to stop Ru Ran while she signalled to Du Wen Hai to stop Shin Tong.


"Ru Ran what are you saying? You are still a Du and how could you disown your own family. This, this could be setup by someone who wants to break our relationship," she said.


"I need evidence. According to Ji Yu, that man has been working for your family as old as your existence. Such a loyal man, refusing to open his mouth despite all the whipping, why is that?" said Ru Ran as she continue to walk off.


Ai Sha continued to hang on Ru Ran. Ji Yu signalled a female bodyguard they just hired just for situations like this to pry Ai Sha away from Ru Ran. He would not touch another woman except for family.


Ai Sha who saw the signal was devastated because Ji Yu had a disdain look on his face when he glance to her. She wanted to ask him if he remembers her but could not find the courage to do so.


"Mr Du, why are you following me? Isn't it wiser for you to repair your relationship with your niece? Wasn't it you who chase her away 20 years ago when you physically assault a defenceless, orphan five years old girl?" exclaimed Shin Tong loudly.


Those who had forgotten was reminded of the event that took place years ago and those who did not know was appalled by such news. This was the reason Du Ru Ran disappeared? They could not help but sigh and feel sorry at Ru Ran's past. 


Du Wen Hai face turned red and his steps halted the moment he heard those words. He could not continue to take a step forward. He wish there is a hole he could bury himself into. Ai Sha also stopped her tracks when she heard Shen Tong's words. She could not believe her ears. Such things happened? How on earth can she survive this? Tomorrow news will be filled with her family scandal and surely her standing in the society would be affected. Such a mess. 


"Stop! It was me! I planned it all," cried out Chan Pei Sia in a shrill voice.
