Du Ru Ran became an orphan at the age of 5 years old after a deliberate car accident. She was then taken in by her uncle. Life was truly tragic but being a smart girl, she managed to turn the tides around. She plans to avenge the death of her parents and her little brother who she did not get to meet in this lifetime. At that time, thank her lucky or unlucky star, she met a pair of mother and son, who gave her some warmth in her moment of total darkness. 

Years later, when they meet again, he stuck to her like a fly she could not get rid off. He kept insisting she took advantage of him when they were young and insisted that she take full responsibility for him.

"Little girl, you really need to take responsibility on this young master when we are older. I am never going to let you go." He whispered into her ears. Due to his illness, he somehow grew up a little mature than peers his age. Hence, it wasn't a normal for him to be thinking about his future at such young age. In fact, since he was three years old, he had been groomed to be a fine young man in order to prepare him as he is the next heir of his prestigious family. He fell asleep with a smile on his face.

At the present:
She thought a dumb cupid made a mistake by accidentally release an arrow and the arrow went straight to a 7 year old boy and now, 20 years later, he is delusional.

"Why can't you leave me alone? I really have no time, no room for another person. I am pretty occupied with getting my revenge. Go and fly away," she said while making the hand gestures of shooing a pesky fly away.

"You really don't need to work hard on my behalf, I am touched that you worry about my well being and feeling. As long as I get to see you, that is all I require. You really don't have to do anything."

Ru Ran felt her head is going to explode, shameless, when did I, how on earth did he manage to lift himself so high that even direct language don't get to his thick skull? Fine, if you don't want to leave, I will walk away.

True to her thoughts she walked away huffing and puffing, fuming at the fly she can't get off.

"Wifey wait up!!!"

"Seriously, what do you see in me?" she asked impatiently. 

Instead of answering her immediately, he spun he around to face him, pushed her to lean against a nearby wall, locked her body with his legs and arm in order to stop her from escaping. His facial expression turn serious, gone the silly demeanor he had put up earlier. 

Her heartbeat increased and her palms started to sweat. She stuttered, "What.. What.. Just what do you plan to do?" 

"I am going to answer your question. Look me in the eyes. I see a beautiful lady, a stubborn one, cold exterior but inside she is kind and afraid to get hurt. She gave me a kiss 20 years ago and gave me the strength to live and from that day onwards, I have given my heart to her."

My reflection in your eyes

Ken swallowed all his grievances and he took a look at Mei Xin and said, "Miss Mei Xin, I want to have a chat with you, if that is possible?"


Uncle Tek who was sitting down while a nurse was about to connect an IV line to his arm immediately rose up and face Ken, "Over my dead body!" he roared not caring about the pain in his chest as he let out all his frustration. In fact, he was jealous that Mei Xin had attracted a very good looking man comparable to Shen Ji Yu. At the same time, he was also satisfied that Mei Xin did not even give that darn man a glance.


Mei Xin quickly stood in front of Uncle Tek to calm him down, "Ah Wah, what are doing? Are you planning to leave me right after you confessed? Sit down and nurse yourself to health first!" she roared. How can she not be anxious? The man that she likes currently is on a verge of self destruction, not caring about his injuries. His chest started to bleed when he stood up just now. Warmth spread to her heart as she saw how protective he was but at this moment, she was more overcome with fear of losing him that her claws were exposed.


Ken was in a disbelief state, looking at the older man with his sister. Damn! What on earth is wrong with her? Such man also can enter her eyes. He had this urge to pull her ears and spank her bottoms. However, he knew he has no right as he has been absent from her life.


Ru Ran and Ji Yu knew exactly what Ken wanted to talk to Mei Xin about. Oblivious to the exchanging gaze of Ru Ran and Ji Yu, Uncle Tek behaved himself and sat down. Mei Xin quickly informed the nurse to continue whatever she was doing. 


"We are requesting of transfer to another hospital, Xang Hei, go and settle the paperwork," ordered Ji Yu. Uncle Tek and Mei Xin was surprised but kept quiet as Ji Yu must have his reasons to do so. 


Ji Yu then stared at Ken and spoke quietly, "Why don't we have a talk instead?"


Ken kept quiet thinking about Ji Yu's suggestion and finally said, "Alright, I will send an invitation out. At this moment, I don't have the mood to be pleasant."


He then turn to Mei Xin and said, "We will keep in touch. You'll be hearing from me again."


He then got up and walked away. Ji Yu signalled his men to allow Ken to leave. Ai Sha who heard about the commotion was about to enter the emergency department when Ken walked out. She was surprised to see Ru Ran and Ji Yu there. She eyed Mei Xin cautiously as she overheard the conversation earlier. Is the news got out, she will be a laughing stock, Du Ai Sha fiancee got into fight over another man's girlfriend.


She glanced at the people in the room before quickly following Ken's retreating back.


Ken halted his steps and allowed her to catch up. He gave her an inquisitive look and waited for her to speak.


"We are now engaged and your actions now can affect me as well, so I need an explanation to your behaviour tonight,"


He shrugged his shoulder and walked away. His mind is in chaos after meeting Mei Xin. Her looks resembles their late mother. He still remembers how his mother looks like. He on the other hand took after his father. He doesn't need a DNA test to confirm that Mei Xin is his sister. He cannot bother to deal with other things at the moment. His only goal now is to get his sister to his side.


Ai Sha could only feel sadness as she saw him walking further and further away. Is she only an object in everyone's else eyes. Doesn't her feelings meant anything? How could he just walk away like that? Is it too much to ask to be treated as an equal partner? She did not bother to chase after him instead she got herself discharge from the hospital and went to search for Ah Li, her father.
